Bradleys helped us with selling a rental property that we owned in Honiton. It was a complicated sale in that we had an existing tenant at the start of the process, and also to add to this we live out of the area so everything needed to be handled remotely. We were extremely impressed with the service from Bradleys at every stage of the process; they handled interactions with our tenant very tactfully and effectively and made her feel as comfortable with the sale as they could, worked with her to schedule viewings at times convenient for her, and worked very hard to generate interest in the property (not just relying on Rightmove to bring in the viewings). We felt that we were given good advice at every stage during the marketing of the property, and after the sale was agreed, and the tenant moved out, they were very helpful in keeping an eye on the property whilst it was empty, thus allowing us to comply with the conditions of our Landlords Insurance during this period. At the end of the sale we experienced a few problems with our buyer's solicitors, who were proving to be difficult to communicate with and causing unnecessary delay in exchanging contracts and completing the sale; Bradleys were excellent in chasing up on progress and liaising with both sets of solicitors and our purchaser to bring the sale to a successful conclusion. We also used the Bradleys service for conveyancing; we were recommended to use Amicus Law Solicitors in Exeter, who were excellent throughout the conveyancing period. We were delighted with this service and would recommend it to others who are selling or buying a property through Bradleys. All the the staff at the Honiton office were helpful, friendly and efficient throughout. We would thoroughly recommend the service that they offer, and overall our experience was the best that we have had over a number of house moves over the last 30 years.

Started off really well with our viewing, carried out by agent. Very knowledgeable about the area, the property etc. and answered questions we had. Sale process went through smoothly, resulting in us not particularly hearing from Bradley’s until completion, unless we contacted them. However, upon completion we were given the wrong property’s keys to our new home which was rectified a few days later and also found out that although our property was not marketed with parking, we had been told by numerous different members of staff in the Estate Agents on multiple times that there was village parking available, only to discover this was not the case and we now have nowhere to park our vehicles, leaving us in quite a mess. The parish council have shown us proof that they contacted Bradley’s on numerous occasions to say that parking was not available but not once have the agents come forward to speak to us about it.

Bradley’s were so amazing at assisting us on purchasing our first new home. They have been very professional, supportive, helpful and caring during the last 16 weeks. Nothing was ever too much for us to ask from them. When we first started viewing properties we visited all the local estate agents in Honiton and found them to be very unprofessional and unhelpful. They were not friendly and found they just cared about selling the house as soon as possible compared to the service at Bradley’s where they allowed us to re-view the property and ask lots of questions. I have no complaints or concerns about any staff within Bradley’s and have found them all extremely supportive. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an estate agent to sell there property or if people are wanting to buy like us to go and visit them in store so they can also provide you with the amazing service we where given. Saw a property to rent that looks ideal so clicked online to arrange a viewing. Took about 30 minutes to complete their registration as I had to open an Experian account to get my credit score - among other things! This was the first agency I had tried so assumed this was standard these days - it's not. The property I want to view does not allow children so while I currently have a 'child' as she is 17, she will be 18 in a couple of weeks - so by the time we move. Rang to get advice on how to complete the form and got an automated message redirecting me to fill in the online form! No space on the form to clarify any individual circumstances. Completed form and didn't hear back by weekend when I was hoping to view property. Sent email but understand it can take a day or 2 for a reply so found a customer services number - phoned hours before they shut and got automated message that operators were all busy and I could choose to hold. I held and just a minute later got a message that my call could not be taken and to call another time -no option to continue holding. The property I'm interested in was reduced in January and I thought initially this was due to lack of interest or something not obvious from the advertisement. I'm now inclined to believe it is due to noone being given the chance to view it! This is ridiculous. I have jumped through hoops to try and get a viewing, I am a reliable and honest tenant and have been in my existing rental nearly 7 years. I won't be renting through Bradleys now even if they do get back to me as I don't feel they are serving tenants or their landlords with this overly restrictive gatekeeping and do not trust that they would deal with any tenancy issues adequately in the future.

Very poor customer service.

I would have given a rating of zero if possible, but 1 star is way above what this company deserves. We used them as a letting agent for several years and our experience was of very poor customer service, usually just telling us what they thought we wanted to hear, when in reality they were not accurately reporting the condition of the property. The tenants were dirty and lazy, but none of this was reported in the periodic checks carried out by Bradley's. Even when there were problems with the state of the property, these were played down or even not reported to us. It took a visit in person by myself to see the poor condition and damage to our property, by which time eviction proceedings were under way. When the tenants eventually left, the check out report was carried out and not even dated, so there was no accurate proof of the condition of the property on this date. When asked about this, the staff became very defensive. This impacted on us, as the considerable damage and neglect to the property could not be fully claimed for, leaving us out of pocket. When trying to submit a claim to retain the deposit, Bradley's were of no help whatsoever, leaving us to do it all. Think very carefully before you use this company as a letting agent.
