TrustpilotDo not use this estate agent
Would not recommend renting through Hunters - no communication, follow up or empathy from anyone here. Day one moved in- Leak all over the living area from a disconnected pipe that hadn’t been checked. Raised floorboards and bloomed worktop- No broadband access- No bins- Vent not fitted correctly in the bathroom(All reported no follow up from Hunters)1 month later - Still no broadband, bins arrive. Had to purchase expensive WiFi dongle in 12 month contract and unable to use electric car charger. - Phone line attachment broken and reported via Opeanreach -Had to chase Hunters for any action to be taken for the wifi for the whole apartment block2 months later- (Some) flats connected to broadband still some flats without wifi - low speed if usable- Our apartment was flooded with sewage water into the bathroom. - £150 to replace damaged bathroom goods - Pipes overflowing and all toilet/shower/sinks/washing machine and dishwasher unusable for 3 days- 3 days OFF work to facilitate fixing issues- Front door lock unstable logged 23rd July no follow up- Vent still hanging down in bathroom3 months in- Storage room ripped up from last month and no follow up from blocked pipes. Waiting to be flooded out- Stinks of sewage- No communication in over 3 weeks Do not care about welfare/lack of customer service. Shocking. I never write negative reviews and genuinely give people a bit of slack but this has been the worst I have experienced.

GoogleWe recently purchased a property through Hunters (Andy Galloway) of Easingwold, and were extremely impressed with the service provided, they were very attentive and kept us informed at every stage of the process. They made sure that all matters proceeded along as quickly as possible to reduce the stress of house moving. We never felt ‘just a number’ as is sometimes the case with transactions such as this as Andy particularly provided a hands on, personal service throughout.
Thanks to all at Hunters of EasingwoldPositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

TrustpilotINCOMPETENT
Hunters listed a rental property two days ago and I had contacted them making an enquiry an hour after it was posted. No response. so I went online and found a book a viewing form and completed it. No response. The next day I emailed asking further about the property. No response. Today no call or no email, no response. So I call up and I am informed that they are fully booked for viewings and they probably wont do another one. Absolutely no communication. Zero customer service. An entirely incompetent estate agents. I had to drag the information out of them and at no stage was I contacted. The entirety of their reviews for 2024 details their utter incapability.

Amazing service from start to finish .A special mention to Della who went above and beyond what was expected, Della's communication was fantastic even on her days off she would chase information and update us. Della was instrumental in the completion date and kept the chain together. We'd of been lost without her. Thanks Della. Highly recommend.

Appalling customer service from the stoke office and I'm not even one of their tenants, had the misfortune to be involved with a leak from one of their tenants, it took over 6 months to get to the repair stage which when done was really poor workmanship so I'm having to do it myself, the staff are unhelpful and don't care so if they treat third party tenants like that it must be really bad for their own tenants.

TrustpilotHunters Northenden branch
Hunters Northenden branch. Louis at Hunters could not have been more helpful. I was renting a retirement property for my father who was moving areas to be nearer us. Louis was very understanding of our needs and our urgency and we had everything sorted within 3 weeks. He was very efficient and answered emails very promptly. We couldn't have had a better experience.

TrustpilotHunters is a joke
I have had experience with Hunters in the past on multiple occasions. I am disappointed everytime from their lack of felixibility. For example if you're trying to rent and your annual income matches but does not excees what is expected by Hunters then they will abruptly cut you off. Also horrible customer service by the staff and do not know what they are doing. On a flat i called twice one staff member told me i had to satisfy an income of 29.000 pounds and another staff member told me i had to exceed 30.000 wich makes me doubt their honesty. I have had much better experiences with other agencies. Do not reccomend.

GoogleAs the Executor of my father's estate, I was confronted by the challenge of having a house to sell that was 250 miles from my home. By luck, I choose Hunters, who provided valuable local information and support during the lockdown. Once that was lifted, they engaged with me and were extremely professional in the valuation and marketing of the house.
Throughout the process I've been kept informed about progress and my enquiries have been promptly and efficiently answered.
If you have a house to sell in/around Easingwold in North Yorkshire, I'd recommend that you talk to HuntersPositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleAndy came to value our house to put on the market. We were very happy with the valuation. He appeared very professional and we were confident and reassured by his wealth of experience in the housing market. We hadn’t got a house in mind to buy and asked him to keep us updated on anything coming in which would suit our needs. There and then he advised us of one which was perfect for our needs and without hesitation we bought it. From start to finish things have gone very smoothly and we are looking forward to life in our new house.
Without Andy this wouldn’t have happened. We would also like to mention that Alexandra from the Easingwold office was also very professional and nothing was too much trouble for her. TrustpilotAn unfortunate attitude from Hunters
My boyfriend and I were purchasing a property through Hunters and they were pleasant enough. However, when we received the results of the independent survey two months down the line, it highlighted what we considered to be significant problems with the property, particularly the necessity of a whole new roof, and the replacement of brickwork.Naturally, we had not - and could not have - factored in the cost of these repairs, or the time it would take to carry them out, so we emailed our contact at Hunters in Sunderland, simply outlining the issues that the survey had presented, and attaching the report in full. The reply we received explained ‘The seller is not under any obligation to carry out any work or offer a reduction’. While true, this attitude seemed hostile to us, and rather unprofessional. We did not mention a negotiation of price, or the current owners carrying out the work themselves - although, to be frank, these did not seem unreasonable expectations. We had misgivings about how considerable an undertaking the repairs would be, both financially and physically, but were open to discussing options with Hunters/the sellers. However, we decided to withdraw from the sale, and Hunters’ attitude did play a big part in that. As a prospective buyer, you do not have a choice over which estate agent to deal with, but I would certainly be reticent about purchasing a property sold by Hunters in the future, and would strongly advise sellers to consider the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this page before engaging Hunters, as the wrong estate agent could scupper a sale, as in this case.

TrustpilotDishonest and unprofessional
We drove over 250 miles to view a house listed for let @ £900. We said we like it and were happy to proceed, after all similar properties down south cost £1000 a month….We were absolutely shocked when they got back to us, offering us the house for £1000 because they knew we could afford it… we were aghast! I have never ever encountered such skullduggery and dishonesty…. Of course we declined… how can one deal with such a dishonest estate agent as these!
