On the basis of listening to the Blackadders’ podcast, I contacted this firm. I loved the podcast - particularly Simon and Jack. I was delighted to be allocated them as my legal team. Simon and Jack were brilliant. Unlike other law firms, there are no egos in the team. Simon was clear when we first spoke that, when he was away, I should speak to Jack and vice versa. Terrible experience with them. Was dealing with a traumatic event and they made it a lot worse. Ignoring questions / worries I had. Taking weeks to months to update on things. Was dealing with a co- executor who was against me and should have been struck off their role. Long list of things. Practically bankrupted the estate with their fees. Wouldn’t ever deal with them again.

Disappointed that they say they don't charge just for notes of interest or linking in with realtors over property you're interested in, then without warning hit you with a three figure bill saying that'll cover our emails and phone calls on your behalf! Not exactly upfront. At all.

I'm with blackadders for my guardianship for my finances. Since then I've been more and more in debt and frequently have no food. I have both mental and physical health issues and I'm told I can't get a taxi home without asking blackadders for the fare every blooming time. Have I suddenly gotten better or developed a job or all of the above? Also they insist on me buying my white goods from hosies in Broughty. Its a lovely establishment. The only thing that wrong with that us I allegedly have no money. Also I despite having physical and mental illness was forced to get two buses to Broughty Ferry and walked for what seemed like ages to choose myself a washing machine. They would not be able to choose one if I described them for me nor would I be able to call the store and describe one I would like and they choose it for me. So off I go and choose a Siemens washing machine. Blackadders changed it for a Bosch. They were suddenly willing to choose washing machine for me. I'm in debt to the tune of over a thousand pounds but despite the fact I know exactly how much money I have each week and how much my bills are and know there should be money there that is available suddenly I have no money for changing my dangerous fridge freezer. It freezes and defrosts things in it. I need some advice on how to get the council to look after my money. I've been been waiting for over a year to be moved over to dcc. Good luck me.
