I recently just bought a property and Joe Lambeth was fantastic! I couldn’t ask for a better mortgage advisor, he has helped me all the way through and answered any questions I had no matter how stupid they seemed. He’s extremely patient and saved me money through the process, even went through the extent of helping me sign all the documents I didn’t understand face to face. Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost! Didn't put up a for sale sign, no proactive communication, try to get you to pay extra £500 commission as an 'incentive' for them to do their job of selling your house!!! Tried getting out of the contract early which was a continued "no", but funny that as soon as the Ombudsman was mentioned they dropped us like a stone. Once the property was off the market, after 12 weeks, I was then woken up very early one morning to find a man trying to put up a for sale sign...say no more!

I worked with Tam initially last year when we were going through a tenant eviction. Her knowledge of the process was excellent. This year she worked hard to let the property, which was done efficiently and seamlessly. She was a great help with contacts to get the property into a sufficient state and also compliance with regulations. We do not live locally and she made the whole process so easy and straight forward, which is massively appreciated. Bethany also assisted on some items and was also incredible efficient. It was a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend the team highly enough.

I wish it was possible to give zero star to connell. Rented out my property thru them. Paid for full management. Connells rented the property to a tenant who i was not very comfortable with. Connells didnt conduct their “regular visits” , i had to call connells for 2 months to request a visit which finally happened. Connells sent an inexperienced person who didnt pick up anything, on my request they sent someone else only to find out that tenant was subletting my property and had damaged my property. Tenant picked by connell, damaged my property, when I complained to connells they said “sorry” and didnt take any responsibility for their wrong doing. They said the contract was between me and the tenant and connells had nothing to do with it. Connell deliberately look for a tenant who will stay not kore than 11 months , so they can get a new tenant every year and keep charging contract fees and so on .. basically they charge enough to cover the rent for first month . This is their business strategy to make profits for their branch and show they are working. Rental team never answers the phone , they do when they are desperately trying to get your business. Dont fall for the trap and all of the promises. Taking them to ombudsman now because they are absolutely terrible at their jobs and absolutely useless. Stay away from connells . They are pure bad news. I do not know how a bad company like this can even survive, their rental team in Dudley is absolutely shambles. People leave that place in few months and run away. Since i have been with them their staff changes every few weeks. Management is a nightmare. They have got “floats” they will keep your money and will never pay full rent to you, beware of them. Absolute mess and they will never do what they say. Very unprofessional. Please read other terrible reviews and their trust pilot reviews, you will know the truth.

Extremely poor, lazy and amateurish. It's hard to know where to start but I suppose we should have been wary when our initial documents arrived with my name spelt wrongly. When I queried this, I was told it didn't matter. Call me old fashioned but I like my name spelt correctly - especially on legal documents!? Emails were often full of mistakes and the branch manager even told me that the 'bass rate' had been cut, 3 hours before the announcement had been made - psychic apparently.

I have had the most terrible time with…

I have had the most terrible time with O’Connells. They forced me to use KeySafe, a company I found out later to be struck off by the FCA and not regulated. I am not internet savvy & found it stressful. Either that or I pay 12 months rent up front for my granddaughter. I capitulated & allowed a year’s scrutiny of my bank (twice for some reason). Six months bank statements, savings accounts, tax info, P60s, ISAs, passport, bills and more. I sent it all to them but they wanted specific documents, I did that too. They demanded it in Digital format & PDF files. I was exhausted, I told them I felt blackmailed & cohersed as I got regular Final Notice warnings that I wasn’t getting the info out quickly enough. They took umbrage & made me feel small, I apologised if I’d upset them and asked for help as my granddaughter was due to move in next week. Finally they accused me of lying that I didn’t know the internet & blocked me meaning my granddaughter will be homeless next week, I am devastated. I am only the guarantor and they treat me like this. They deny hearing any other complaint but mine, boasted O’Connels were best & biggest estate agent,

We worked with Tam from the letting agency and I was very impressed with the service she provided. Just 30 minutes after I got in touch with her, she put our property online for letting and had someone interested in viewing it on the same day. She found us a tenant within two days, has constantly been updating on what’s happening and even went out of her way to do some extra things for us. She provided us with an excellent service second to none, we will definitely be using this letting agency in the future.
