Following my recent experience with auction house I just wanted to leave a review on how great the South Yorkshire team are, Sam in particular.I approached two auctioneers for appraisals on my bosses properties and Sam came back swiftly with what I needed, the other auctioneer (I won’t mention any names) didn’t even bother coming back to me so I assume didn’t want the business - Which is a shame as we will definitely have more to send Sams way! None the less, even if they had, I was so bowled over by the service provided by Sam and the team that we would’ve chose them to auction off the properties regardless.The communication and contact throughout was fantastic, updating us on the progress of the property from the day it was listed to auction day and even afterwards. On the day of the auction, the Livestream was brilliant it felt like we were in the room with the auctioneer, lots of excitement in our office even if we couldn’t be at the auction itself. The prices we achieved for the properties were above and beyond what we expected to achieve so we are over the moon! Sam even went out of his way to visit our office over Christmas to drop off a thank you hamper of booze and chocolates! Overall Outstanding service by Sam, I would give extra stars if I could and can’t recommend the auction house South Yorkshire team enough! Thanks again guys

Registered to bid on a property in the London auction. Paid the required block they put on the required funds in your bank account and i checked with my.bank that this was in place and then when i wanted to bid it wouldn't let me.Waste of time and effort.There should be a way to test you are set up to bid before your chosen property starts.Can't trust their system.Update: 17 MarchDespite being unable to bid in their auction they still have a block on thousands of pounds of my money two days after the auction i couldn't bid on.Terrible experience.Response to their response:I don't recall any emails about a query with my address and i gave my passport and a BT bill as proof. They are happy with my address. Maybe your emails went into my spam box, i will check later. However if you were not happy with my address ( which is correct) why allow me to pay a holding deposit in order to bid and keep reminding me to do so?I will check with my bank to see who is stopping me from gaining access to my money.Not happy either way and your systems need to be dramatically improved.Very sceptical now.Update following a call to my bankMy bank spend a long time checking the hold you placed on my money and they tell me you have NOT released that hold on my fund as you claim and they have to wait until you do that. MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK WITH YOUR BANK!!Update 18 MarchFinally the hold on my money has now been withdrawn.Also checked all my emails and spam box and no emails have been received claiming they had an issue with my address as they claim. Also when going through their registration process at no stage did it indicate a problem as all sections were ticked as being ok before it allowed me to enter my bank details so they could put a hold on my funds should i bid.In reply to their last response:Your registration system gave ticks against the items you asked for and then i booked my funds that you wanted as security. You need to make sure your check system works correctly so that if there is an issue with one part you cannot go through to the next part. Then i would have known there was an issue.

Hello Michael.We're sorry to hear about your experience trying to bid at auction. A member of the London team emailed you about an issue regarding your proof of address on the 8th March. You were then subsequently sent a reminder regarding your registration every day following this, but unfortunately no further action was taken by yourself. When registering to bid, a member of the auction team needs to authorise your application by verifying two forms of ID. You are only set up to bid when you have received confirmation from the auction team that this has been authorised. The registration system does state whether an application is ‘awaiting approval’ or ‘approved’ which would be the method used by bidders to check if they are set up to bid. We do however take on board your feedback and will review the processes in place to ensure that bidders are kept fully informed on the status of their application and any issues that may arise, and where possible not rely solely on email communications. Needed to sell a property with a short lease which had fallen through with estate agents 4 times. Having met Mark in the Ipswich Auction House office through work 5 years ago I knew he would give me an honest opinion on the property I was trying to sell and more importantly would do his best to help me sell the property. He was very honest and guided me through the process and ultimately got me a great result with the property sold and all done and dusted within 4 weeks. Auction House’s rates are beyond reasonable and you get excellent value for money and Mark really knows his stuff so do listen to him! The team have a network of local contacts which beat national online agents hands down. If you need to sell a tricky property and want the best possible chance I strongly advise paying Mark a visit or giving him a call. Thanks very much Mark for all your help.

Mysteriously sold properties reappear for sale again after being sold at the auction.Auction House uses gas lighting techniques. If you successfully bid a property the auctioneer will catch you off guard by using aggressive bullying techniques and language to collect deposits. They claim I didn’t do my due diligence, when in fact they can’t substantiate why last moment critical Lease information was added to their Notices just prior to the auction, while the Lease header had irrelevant misleading information and the auctioneer didn’t bother to notify bidders during their live auction about critical Lease documents being added last moment. The auctioneer sent me a email claiming I would lose my deposit of 6200 pounds as a penalty if I didn’t proceed with a transaction (which turned out to be a scam) and then they took 27200 pounds. . Keep well clear as this auctioneer in London, UK is operating a Ponzi scheme - They appear to make their money from allowing dodgy sellers use unethical practices to sell and resale the same properties and collect deposits.

Whilst we 'represent' the seller, we also provide extremely high levels of support and guidance to all buyers - as evidenced across our Trustpilot reviews from buyers of all experience levels. Our listing pages where we advertise the property share as much information as is made available to us. Due to the fast time scales of auction sales, sometimes last minute information is provided (which is always shared with registered bidders). We also strongly advise all bidders to download and carefully review the legal pack before bidding, as once the gavel falls, contracts are exchanged, and the purchase is legally binding.Our records and audit trails do show that you didn't read the legal pack prior to bidding on the property that you subsequently purchased. This meant that you missed critical information that would’ve enabled you to make an informed decision before choosing to bid. I hope this information helps explain why you felt you had been misled/misinformed and the importance of downloading and reading legal packs prior to purchasing a property at auction.
