Completely unprofessional... They charged me £500.00 deposit to take a commercial property off the market and carried on marketing it online and sign in the window of the shop. They never sent me a receipt for payment. The shop was still under lease and being used as storage by current lease holder, and Catherine proceeded to apparently have problems writing the lease as she needed to contact me for information she was told over and over on the phone and person previously. One missed call and 1 email over the course of 2 days she started to make up drama that I was uncontactable. I was not in the country but I rang her as soon as I received the email to contact her. I was then met with made up drama that she had been chasing me whilst being condescending and arrogant. She would let me speak and then proceed to say that the property I that I am having the lease written for as we speak and she won't gauantee a basic level of cleanliness on unit on my entry. Then proceeded to not allow we to speak blame shifting like a pro that I wasn't to speak over her whilst she didn't let me speak. She then said she won't work with me. All lies because she had taken viewings on the unit whilst having my holding deposit and got a better offer. Stay away, save you money and your time and let them focus on what people promise and not what they do..

Very thorough survey carried out by Toby who later made great effort to talk through his findings in details. This was immensely helpful. Jestyn also did a valuation and again offered to discuss findings. Both offered to send contacts for repair work. Altogether a very complete and thoughtful service and I strongly recommend them. I purchased a full structural survey, valuation and costing to any repair. Their report was the best report I have ever seen and so very thorough! The quality of a report is very important as it gives you the leverage needed, when/if issues occur, to reduce housing offers you have made on a house or for remortgage/insurance. Had I not got all this detail I would have made some very grave mistakes on house purchases. Estate agents and sellers are never truthful. J&C are often very busy, as they are very good at their jobs so I feel best to be patient, if you want a quality report. I cannot recommend Jestyn Coke Surveyors and more highly above many other surveyors!

Having experienced surveys from companies that their main mission appeared to want the purchasers to go back and haggle a lower price (and were proud of it) rather than just stating facts, it was refreshing to have a non biased, open and honest review of our 'potential' purchase. Had a level 3 survey carried out with this company. Very impressed with the report and the attention to detail, would definitely use their services again in the future! The only minor negative I had, is how I would have liked a phone call or an email on the day the survey was being carried out, just to let me know it all went ahead according to plan, and any major concerns that were brought to their attention could have briefly been explained to me. Apart from that a 5 star service.
