TrustpilotSales progression team lied and not very professional.
We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

TrustpilotDamaged our house, and we're not even their clients!
Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.

TrustpilotI would completely recommend avoiding…
I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

GoogleWe would like to say a huge thank you to Amii -who has kept us fully informed during the lockdown - with the potential sale of our house. She has responded promptly to queries with efficiency , a great sense of humour and total professionalism despite working remotely.
We are also very grateful to Deborah -whose sales ability made this happen - and also Helen -whose expertise and advice to potential buyers during viewings was invaluable.
We thoroughly recommend Hunter's..PositiveProfessionalism

TrustpilotAgent Harj was full of fake promises
Agent Harj was full of fake promises. Although he was all smiles and seemed friendly, the minute we left after our viewing he didn’t return texts or calls and shyed away from any contact. After several calls to the agents I finally managed to find out myself that the property had been given to someone else, rather than them calling me to inform me I had to dig this information out of them which was frustrating. Avoid!

TrustpilotBad communication
I have been trying to contact them for 4 months in regards to my flat and contract but they are absolutely appalling at responses and making things clear and helpful for those they are letting to. They have sent me in so many different directions on who to contact and have stopped responding to me within one week of me first contacting them. On top of this it took them weeks to respond and report to maintenance issues, and when they did the response I got was rude and abrupt. As well as that they issues weren't resolved fully resulting in me feeling uneasy in what was meant to be my own space. Absolutely awful service and wouldn't even consider letting/renting from them again.

TrustpilotPathetic estate agency
Pathetic estate agency! The guy who is showing properties mixing up addresses and you end up viewing a different one. If you make an offer they show a very keen interest in person then no-one ever comes back to you. The property owners will never get to find out who made offers and they may just losing out on perfectly good tenants…!They do not even talk to each other within the office to relay interest. You get a bunch of promise, but that is all!Laura is useless!

GoogleWithout the team at Hunters the house purchase would simply not have gone through. The team weren’t even acting as our estate agent!! But they chased, and emailed, and chased, and emailed, and always with a sympathetic ear and a smiley voice. Thank you to Lucy and Debs and the team ... you are all absolute stars and Hunters are lucky to have you (our neighbours also bought a house you were handling and they also think you’re fabulous!) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

GoogleSelling a home isn't an everyday event which is why we are so glad to have partnered up with a good local agent with the expertise to add real value to our own preparations. Sometimes things get complicated and the sales process can have some stresses and strains. I'm pleased we chose Hunters because they took on a considerable amount of unseen extra work handling the sale which is common in many cases they undertake as a standard part of their excellent service. From the initial time and methods discussed on marketing our home, an accurate valuation, on to the photographs and brochure, conducting viewings on our behalf, qualifying prospective purchasers, negotiating, dealing with our solicitors, buyers agents and their solicitors, and then other agents in the chain to complete our sale was an exercise in patient professional estate agency practice throughout. We are indebted to Paula and her team including Lucy, Deborah, and Helen, all of whom offered excellent close support as standard. We hear of the cheap internet firms posing as the equal of local agents with 'no commission' etc., i'm so glad we had Hunters readily on hand to work with quickly and efficiently. We are so lucky in the UK that top local agents charge such modest fees compared to many other countries, especially the US who charge 5 or 6 times UK agents rates. In the end the very modest fee paid paled into insignificance compared to the successful result obtained. Well done!

GoogleWe got our own buyer and after a year of messing and losing two houses we decided to use Hunters estate agents at Bawtry to further our quest to move. What a different experience! Everything was very professional from the brochure to the viewings . The overriding benefit however was the communication which was excellent. Deborah kept us informed every step of the way and always went the extra mile to chase our queries and concerns. Deborah always did what she said , contacting solicitors and other agents eliciting responses where we had failed. She always rang when she said , not only with weekly updates but also to say she’d contacted someone but they’d not replied yet. This open honest communication and conscientious attitude is commendable and sadly a rarity these days! I have no hesitation in recommending Hunters estate agents and particularly Deborah. Definitely worth their money and so much better to have face to face contact rather than an online process.

Appalling group of folks! This group has no idea what they are doing. we worked with Selina and she was absolutely clueless and brought wrong/unverified information to the table. If I were looking to rent, I would be running as far as possible from this agency or owners they work with! if there were minus points that is what I would give them for ripping a kid off!

TrustpilotMoney for nothing
Make no mistake they aren't worthy of even one star! This Hunters franchise (Sea Road Sunderland) and their so called MD Chris Kelly and his team failed to carry our property inspections and investigate complaints from neighbours in relation to the neglect and horrendous decline of my property over a three year period. We as landlords put our faith in the letting agent and trust they will do a good job in managing our properties. I'm now £7k down trying to repair the property to a good standard. The failure of this company to manage the property and the tenants has left me significantly disadvantaged. Mr Kelly has not responded to my many complaints and requests for compensation and has instead left the franchise, no doubt to make another fortune charging 15% off the back of other unsuspecting landlords! Hunters are a company well known and trusted in our area but be warned, these agents are hiding behind that brand and are able to operate without scrutiny or regulation!!

TrustpilotAvoid this agency at all costs.
I paid a £135 holding deposit to secure a room with an agreed move‑in date. The moment they took my money, they changed the date and told me I could only move in several days later. Because of their change, I could no longer proceed and asked for a refund, which they refused.

TrustpilotAre the staff in the Highfield Road…
Are the staff in the Highfield Road office volunteers on some sort of day release programme ? I can only presume so because no company management in their right mind would pay them to do NOTHING, my 3 messages to request a viewing fell on deaf ears, yet it is still available for rent, appalling behaviour, does the owner of the rental know who they have looking after their property, in this case they soon will, Land Registry gave me the owners details and I am in the process of asking the owner directly for a viewing appointment as their "representatives" are awol.

TrustpilotUNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST
Hunters Stevenage is extremely unprofessional and dishonest!I want to caution everyone considering them before handing over a deposit, as they will go to great lengths to keep your money.I had been renting for eight years prior to this, in various properties with different agents, and never encountered any issues with the return of my deposit. It's incredibly frustrating trying to get a response from them, even through email. Without a doubt, they are the worst estate agent I've ever had to deal with. I lived in a rented house through them for nearly two years but recently purchased my own place through Own Homes (which hasn't had any issues).Hunters is currently refusing to refund my deposit after two months, citing a small rip in the carpet near the radiator pipe and a crack in the bath. Both of these issues were present when I first moved in.They are taking an unreasonable stance and are also claiming an inability to communicate with the landlord for nearly a month. They're even using minor issues like mold on the bathroom sealant and three burnt-out light bulbs as reasons not to return my deposit.Furthermore, after two months, they are now trying to deduct money from my deposit, citing a weed issue in the front garden.Letting Manager sent me an email at 7:14 PM, and immediately after that, I went to the house and took photos to document the situation. It's truly baffling how unreasonable they are being.I consistently paid the rent on time and took excellent care of the house while I was there, even installing a new shower. However, I'm currently facing issues retrieving my deposit, as I had to hire a cleaning company to restore the house to its original condition. This has been an ongoing process please be cautious when dealing with Hunters Stevenage!!!"

I had an exceptional experience working with Julie Decraene throughout my house purchase. From start to finish before passing onto the next agent for the further process of buying my house, her service was nothing short of outstanding. She made what can often be a stressful and complicated process feel smooth, straightforward, and incredibly efficient.

TrustpilotTotal scammers!
Total scammers!! Do NOT recommend at all!! I rented with with them for 4 years, was okay at first then it gotten difficult to get things properly fixed, they left us without a fridge and freezer for over a year so I had to buy my own! They send out the same repair men that told me over and over again they could t properly fix various things as it needed updating and my landlord was refusing to update (handyman’s words not mine). We had a mice infestation that I had made them aware of but nothing was done and they ended up coming into the house eating through all my kids Easter eggs and our snacks and my sons make a wish documents amongst other important documents!! I had to pay for the infestation to be sorted, I have paperwork that states the things that needed doing to stop them and they didn’t do half of it!! There was insufficient loft insulation, single glazed windows and no wall insulation so it was beyond freezing unless I had the heating on constantly. They didn’t carpet or decorate in god knows how long!! I paid £2800 deposit to stay in this house!! They then said as I was pregnant there would be too many people living in the property so I said okay can I please have a rent statement to get onto the council and was told by corena she would email this to me but this went on for about 6 months and she then sends me an eviction notice instead so I said okay can I have the rent statement she still refused! A year later I get the rent statement.. then another eviction notice. Their reason was my landlords granddaughter had cancer and needed to sell up to pay for treatment (she knew one of my sons was a cancer survivor and she also knew my youngest son is fighting a brain tumour!) she used my personal circumstances as a tool against me. I tried so hard to move out quickly but eventually got a property with the council. She caused 2 years of horrifying mental breakdowns, I have adhd and so you can imagine the impact it had! She never done and entrance or exit inventory with me, she next done entrance or exit key handover so the crook covered her bases.!! This wasn’t her first rodeo!!I have been informed by neighbours of repairs etc carried out since I left the property and also about the new tennants living there so they never sold the property.Social services are trying to help get my deposit back, the so called deposit guarantee scheme said there was nothing they could do as it was never with them!! So I had a look on company’s house at them… I suggest if your considering renting from hunters you look on companies house at them too!! They are a bunch of scammers and they keep getting away with it!!They have now left us with absolutely nothing! I’m a single mum having to furnish and carpet a house with next to no money struggling to decide if my kids need a bed or food, carpets or gas, curtains or electric!! I was told a survey of dilapidation was being done and that turned out to not be true!! I have asked numerous times about my deposit and she doesn’t reply to nothing! She ignores everything. She has stolen £2800 from me and my children. I have 2 autistic children and 1 is a cancer survivor and 1 has a brain tumour I have a lot of worries already with them without this worry about loosing so much money that was needed to benefit my children. British Gas had to swap the meter as per the request from the ombudsmen and corena Harris told me I’d better put them back I have this and more in messages!! I said I can’t as that is breaking the law and she wasn’t happy at all.. the old meters didn’t work!! I can only hope people do not make the same mistake as myself and put their trust in these despicable people!! Have a look on companies house before considering renting from them!!£2800 is a lot of money for a single mum with 6 children and 3 of which are very poorly and one is fighting a brain tumour you ask yourself what kind of person does that!!

I have just bought a house where the seller's estate agent was Hunters. two items to note : 1. their pestering me to prove I had the funds via endless email demands, then when my solicitor raised one issue, total ignorance for 2 weeks. Not good. 2. I feel for the seller in that they totally missed off the presence of a very long private tree-lined driveway, and a full size totally convertable loft.

TrustpilotHunters Baldock as letting agents…
Hunters Baldock were the letting agents for a recent rental. I found them rude and difficult to the point of enjoying the power they had over me as a nervous tenant in an expensive and competitive market. They piled on the reasons why I might not get my deposit back (which they still have not returned) were useless with actual sums and dates and generally unpleasant.

GoogleUsed Bawtry Hunters twice in last three years, the young lady on the front desk is absolutely fantastic we had nothing but trouble with our buyers buyer and the conveyancer they used with communication, Sacha communication skills are second to none and was relentless,
We was happy with our valuation of the property and the advice we was given and the price we settled on.
We had the house valued with other estate agent and the estimate was a mile off with an under estimation, I think because the house would be empty they thought they would get a quick sale and quick fee
I would recommend bawtry office again and the young lady will go to the end of the earth to get you a buyer
