STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ! They left us high and wet !!! £8000 to replace bi folding doors that lasted 2 years ! Heating system only lasted 2.5 year also! Windows need replacing after 3 years ! The house blows drafts everywhere, heat loss is massive ! The extension leaked pouring water through ceilings ! SORRY OUT OF GUARANTEE Lawns were laid over clay and rubble, which died ! With swamp affect ! We were left nearly 1year with mud and 6ft weeds growing ! All floors creaked badly when walking on them !Their answer was put up with it for 1 whole year before we are willing to try repair it ! 1 year after repaired, it all started creaking again !The house was built 2 blocks to low, so land ramps down to the house !Looks horrendous! Damp courses are questionable! Paths and flags are all laid dry, under base washes away and everything starts teetering and sinking ! On return from work,We had a house full of gas! (gas fitter turned up 3 days later,apologised stating “ Avant make us cut corners “!)Water and heat stop working ! Walls and ceiling are not plumb ! Joints all show through, sagging ! Banisters rattle ! Posts twisted & chipped ! Hollow floor tiles, that later cracked ! With a gas pipe exposed underneath 1 of them ! Air vents siliconed closed ECT ECT ECT We gave this company a list of major faults and they dragged their heels ! The minor snagging list was huge ! Possibly 230 on the list, which we rectified as they let us down so badly ! We bought into Avants dream, perfect show homes and gardens ! The company took our money (cash waiting)Then showed no real commitment to rectify problems. They made excuses for every single thing, no apologies,no compensation, no acceptance ! Avant have standard answers for most things, so be very aware. We were were ill with stress,yet they sent an ex painter and decorator (they called a boss) to make us feel stupid ! And we’re left to live in freezing breezing, leaking,creaking house ! I haven’t mentioned the financial stunt they pulled ! It has cost us 10’s of thousands because of this and their greed. Even when our family were put in danger !!!THIS COMPANY WAS COLD TO DOING ANY WRONG DOING ! BEWARE !

Barley gate quater Nice house let down by unfinished roads and poor paths

Have lived in barley gate quater for 2.5 years with unfinished roads. Every time you drive in to the estate you are avoiding deep manhole covers, 3” drops on lead in to drives and tempuary plastic speed humps with bits missing. They said they had to wait until all property’s we finished so heavy veicals would not damage the roads. There has been no heavy traffic for 6 months. Get sick of my friends visiting me and complaining about them. Some of the paths are unfinished as well.The path above the estate which leads to there new estate, has been closed for about 6 months, which mean you need to cross the road and back again to get to it.

We searched different development sites for our perfect home and just couldn’t find anywhere we both fell in love with until we viewed Avante homes. i’ve got to say for quality Avante sit above the rest, their properties are all so spacious! We bought a 4 bed house in Cadley Village in 2020. The service we got from Michael and team from start to finish was fantastic. When we moved in there were teething issues (as all new homes), however all were rectified quickly. I would 100% recommend buying a home from Avante,

Our Avant Home - Cygnet Park

Our house is part of the Cygnet Park development based in Killingworth. We reserved our home (Ripon) back in February this year and we moved in at the end of June. It was a very quick process for us buying our first house and moving in within the space of 4-5 months but Lesley was always on hand to help with any questions or queries and provided us with lots of updates as things progressed. This meant a lot to me as although the process of buying your first home is exciting it is also a very anxious and emotional time. I really loved that we were able to select our kitchen cupboards, worktops and tiles throughout the home as this allowed us to put our own personal touch on the new build. As it's brand new you're unable to paint the walls for a while so being able to have some input on the colours/design is great. Once we were in, we did identify some snagging issues. However the customer care team and site manager Keith were able to sort out all of our snagging issues quickly and efficiently. We have now been living in our home for just over 2 months and we can't find any fault with it. It is one of the best decisions we have made and we can't wait to decorate it once it has settled. All communications with the team have been friendly and resolved in a timely manner. They're still finishing the last few builds on our development and we can't wait to see the finished result once complete. We just want to say a massive thank you again to Lesley - we really couldn't of done this without you. Plot 206.

Too little too late avant

I have had to click one star otherwise I wouldn’t be able to post this but really they deserve no stars. I have just received a reply to the review I posted on the 10th jan 2022. Nearly two months later! There is no point in giving any further details as the house we wanted to buy has since been sold and an apology will not rectify this.I have never been in the position where I have £300,000 to spend and the company involved could not even reply to my calls. Terrible company

Terrible company . Plaster was patchy, had to be redone. Garden turf had to be replaced and still lumpy Patio doors were all scratched and had to be replaced. There has been numerous other faults but the worst has been the kitchen.We paid over three thousand pounds extra to have a bespoke kitchen,the doors have been replaced many times and you can still see white glue on the black doors. They have sent 3 samples that will not match the kitchen. You realise when you buy a new house there will be snagging but not to the extent of nearly a year later and they are still not sorted

My Move New Build

We have just moved into our new Avant home in Stockton. It was a lengthy process due to our buying side but Avant have been fantastic. We were buying through the My Move scheme and were appointed a co-ordinator - Vicky. From the very beginning she was fantastic and I honestly believe we couldn’t have got here without her help, advice, guidance and support. Even when our first buyer pulled out, Vicky was there to advise on what would happen next and guided us on re-marketing our house and offers etc. The sales coordinator in the office has also been brilliant. Really knowledgable about the builds, process and kept us informed the whole way. The build was completed on time and unfortunately the only delay has been on our side due to us finding a new buyer and a slow completion process. Vicky worked tirelessly to get us to the end goal. We’ve been our new home a fortnight and absolutely love it. Only a couple of minor snags noted so far which are in the process of being sorted out. Everything is of a good quality finish and we are really happy with this whole process and Avant right from start to finish.

Pavilion acres site walsall

Pavilion acres site walsall. First time buyers and have such a lovely home. Communication I found a bit lacking. Mainly from avant legal to our legal. We would have to chase avant alot for things. Things were not Communicated with us properly BUT things all worked out in the end. We completed In June rather than the expected april/may. We reserved before any building work started so felt like so long. Now we are in our homes it's amazing. We had a private snag done and there was 87 problems, touch up here, paint there. But it was mainly decorative although 1 or 2 more minor issues. Adam and Bob were round regularly to check everything was okay. The problems raised were fixed almost immediately if not next day. Most of the snag list is already completed and the rest is booked in for next week. We had issues with deliveries and royal mail. Fiona and Adam were very helpful speaking with royal mail to get deliveries sorted. We are still with out bins as the council are a bit slow but Adam does provide regular skips to help us out.The only reason I can not give 5 stars is because I am still a bit sour about the Communication with the head office/legal teams, we almost pulled out and went else where due to not being able to raise our concerns.Site teams are amazing though.

So terrible customer service. They keep delaying everything for us. We have been following up since last 10 months and still they dont respond. Once the house is sold they keep ignoring you. Never ever buy house with Avant. We are in Darach fields Robroyston, Glasgow. Please stay away from this development.

Our experience with the sales team has been great. Fiona and Lisa have been our main contact. They maintained an open line of communication and always called back if they missed our call. They kept us informed of any changes and patiently answered all our questions as first-time home buyers.There was a slight change in the landscape plan after we signed, but it wasn't significant and we were okay with it. After receiving the keys, we encountered a few issues, including a leaking pipe due to improper installation. However, the team responded promptly and fixed everything the next working day.The construction site management (specifically Bob) has been fantastic in addressing any major issues we noticed, and they were incredibly helpful with garbage disposal. Setting up bins with the council for our new build was challenging, but the team assisted us until the bins arrived a month later.Unfortunately, the turf around the house was laid during a heatwave, and despite our efforts, it turned yellow. On the mending now after constant watering. We understand this was due to the timing of the turf order. Overall, the teams have been supportive and helpful throughout the process.

Myself and my partner were exploring all options of homes and were hesitant to view a new build. We were really unsure of the process and what options there were as our home is currently on the market. I enquired about Honeyman Park and we were lucky enough to have Jacqueline McPhee contact us. Jacqueline was patient with us and fully explained our options.We are always cautious in sales situations and can be easily put off by pushy sales tactics but Jacqueline really made the experience so positive and about us rather than the development. Jacqueline is so personable and we're really grateful that she will see us through this process. I am genuinely thrilled with the service we have been given and cannot sing her praises highly enough! We're over the moon with our reserved plot and all the guidance, advice and support Jacqueline has already provided and no doubt will continue to!

I have just made the life changing decision to move out of my family home and into my very first home all on my own! I visited lots of developments in the same area having lived here with my family for 20 years. I visited Monkswood several times after I had seen the house type I fell in love with and also was taken round one that had just had the kitchen put in as they only have a 4 bed show home. I have spoken to many sales advisors from many developers and none have been as lovely, friendly, helpful as Lisa is! She honestly made the whole experience 10000/10. It was like having a friend in the sales centre who I couldn’t wait to tell the mortgage had been approved and I had exchanged contracts. I wanted a different kitchen layout to the one on plans, and Avant made it happen with no fuss. The after sale care has also been 10000/10. Ian and Dave are extremely helpful, and they always wave or say hello when they’re passing and always make sure everything is ok. They are very friendly and welcoming, I have both their numbers if anything goes wrong - and they always keep you up to date on the progress of anything! I cannot fault the majority of the workmanship inside, especially the bathrooms. I’ve had some snagging as is expected but very minor such as windowsills need touching up and the mastic needs redoing in the hall. Zara is very responsive and helpful! My washer switch didn’t work and they were round the same day I reported it to fix it! Avant homes for my first home has been 100% the best choice I have made. Lisa, Ian, Dave and Zara thank you, and anyone reading this just buy the house!

Excellent Team Member - Louise Fell

Today, we had the pleasure of meeting Louise Fell, an Avant representative at the Jackton Green Development. We showed up half an hour before our appointment but Louise welcomed us right away. Not only is she professional but she has a very friendly demeanour which is essential when selling a home to prospective buyers. Given the fact that buying a home can be one of lives stressful occasions, it is essential to build a rapport with the potential buyer. She is very informed of the site, giving important advice on the property and even providing a contact for a mortgage advisor. She has gone above and beyond and it is clear to see that she has a passion for real estate. Recently, when looking for a property, we have come across salespeople who behaved in different ways and unfortunately we felt like a nuisance most of the time. A robotic approach to merely show the property, offering next to no explantion of the benefits of buying with them and other important considerations. On the other hand, Louise was patient and kind, answering every question making us feel reassured. Given the fact that a salesperson is a representative of a company, Avant is very lucky to have such an employee. Louise is a breath of fresh air and if we decide to buy from Avant homes, she will be the advisor for us and any friends that are looking for a new home.More often than not, it can be difficult to write a review, however, we couldn’t leave her efforts unnoticed. Fantastic job by Nick and his team at Avant Homes - Bradley Point. Always going above and beyond our expectations making sure we were satisfied and happy with how things were. Nick and his team work quick and efficiently having our back patio finished within less than 45 minutes of us making the call. Not to mention the high standards of the work they’ve done on the rest of the house. Blown away how immaculate the house was with all jobs professionally finished, leaving no stone unturned. We recently visited your site at Easingwold. The sales person was called Abbie. We were extremely impressed by the way she looked after us. Abbie showed us round a couple of the houses we were interested in, these weren’t show homes. She also showed us around the site and pointed out the plots for the houses we are interested in. Abbie was extremely knowledgeable about the site and even commended the site team, telling how good and efficient and hard working they were.
