GoogleAfter months of having our house on the market with another agent, we decided to go with a different one. My friend recommended First Choice because he had the best experience with them, so we decided to just go for it. Right from day one, they were absolutely fantastic! The lady who came to ours to market our property, gave us some really good tips on how to get an offer, which we did. The house went on the market, had one viewing the same week but it wasn't suitable which we understood. Two days later, we had another viewing which went perfectly, and they put an offer in above our asking price which of course we accepted! Since then, everyone at First t Choice have been so helpful, supportive but most of all, always available if I needed any advice or questions. We honestly didn't think we would sell our house, but thank goodness we changed agents. Absolutely no regrets at all, they gave us proper feedback and explained everything. Highly recommended, brilliant customer service from everyone at First Choice from day one. If it wasn't for them, we would never had found our perfect home. Thank you

GoogleYet again a really good experience as a seller with first choice move. Take really good photos & are so helpfull & friendly throughout the process. Work hard to make the selling experience as smooth as possible. I really wouldn't use anybody else- especially as having been a would be buyer, they are so much better than other estate agents when engaging with the buyer as well.- which is how you want your agent to treat potential buyers!

I am extremely disappointed with the way First Choice move dealt with us when buying a home. Firstly, when requesting a viewing on the property we wanted, we were told no and that the seller only wanted cash buyers or those that had already sold their house (ours was on the market), so instead we got in touch privately with the seller and we were able to view the house. After viewing the house and after going through the process of selling our own (privately), we put an offer in with first choice move and the offer got accepted. However, there was apparently someone else who had viewed the house and also put an offer in which also got accepted. They basically told us both the house was ours (us and the other person) and gave us a deadline to show proof ours was sold (in the process). We were messed about from the start, to the finish! would not reccomend using first choice move at all. Just to clarify, we purchased the property in the end with absolutley no assistance or help from first choice move.
Hi Ellie. I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience buying a home, it certainly can be stressful. However upon reading your one star review I can see that in reality we have done nothing wrong. Your first point was about proceedable viewings. Some vendors only want those in a proceedable position to view eg sold, cash buyers or those with a mortgage. This is not our preferred choice as it does make our job harder, turning people away who may ultimately want to buy the house. The vendor let you view the house after reaching out to them, but we cannot be held responsible for following our clients wishes. You have mentioned that you thought the house was yours because you had offered and the vendor had agreed to the amount. Unfortunately if someone else is interested it is the first one to become proceedable who normally gets the property unless the vendors has other wishes. A house will often have several people who want to buy it. We would never say a “the house is yours”. A vendor might accept the amount you have offered however, we would only fully accept an offer and change the property to STC once we have full proof of funds to show a buyer can proceed and send out written confirmation. I am sorry you lost out on the property but I can honestly say we have followed the instructions of our client and sold the house for an amount they were happy to accept from the first proceedable person who they were happy to sell to. GoogleWell what can we say but an utter shambles, arranged a viewing of a property in Nethertown for 13.30 today, due to unknown road closures on the approach we had to detour and arrived at the property slightly late at 13.38, only to find out from a neighbour that the First Choice Move agent had already left, apparantly they had been there for an hour. Looks like communucation is not there forte, not only within their organisation but the fact that no contact attempt was made with us to ascertain where we were, as this would have highlighted to them they had got the arranged viewing time wrong.

I am writing this as I am disappointed with this estate agents, they are all very nice and friendly when selling you a home but when you want to sell it after spending time making it nicer and putting money into the property it’s a different matter. The property I bought was on the market for £69,995 and it went down to £64,995 when I couldn’t get my morgage first time. When I spoke to the lady abought coming to value it she said it would go under £65.000 or under, I said why when it was up for £69,995 and I have changed the property as it was filthy when I got it, she said in the matter of 2 weeks the market had decreased and I said how has it changed in a couple of weeks. I felt she wasn’t listening to what I was saying and all she wanted to do was put the same pictures on the site with a lower price and also said go to another estate agent and put the phone down. I will not be using that estate agent again and would advise anyone to stay away from them when buying or selling a home. My reply to your message is I got frustrated because the lady was supposed to come out today but called me to say she couldn’t come out to the house, I told her I had taken the day off and she replied saying I could come today but it is a waste of time without even looking at what I have done to the property, i was trying to explain what I had done but because I am foreign I got someone English to talk to her but once again she wasn’t listening, I never said I wanted it put up to £80,000 I said that is what the valuation came up on zoopla. So she was negative from the beginning of the conversation, it was like it’s only been valued and she couldn’t be bothered again because the price had gone down because the property has a shared back yard and that’s all she kept saying. I got a valuation from another agency today after showing them the property before and after what I had done to it and they said they would put it on the market for £79.999 with just seeing photographs. How can a market price decrease in 2 weeks and you said it can’t be £80,000 but another agency can do that and I have proof of the valuation.
Hi, I am sorry to hear you feel disappointed with us. I do believe a 1 star review is very unfair as you have said we were very helpful when you bought the property. The issue has arisen due to the fact we have declined to put the property back on the market at an unrealistic price you requested as you have decided after a few weeks you do not want it. My colleague who marketed the property originally and knows it well did try to explain that some wall paper and some new flooring does not increase the price by over 30% of what you paid for it. You bought the property for £60,000 and wanted to list it for £80,000. She did try to explain that there was not a lot of interest in the property and you were the only people who offered and she tried to give you some comparisons. An increase of over 30% of the asking price when there was very little interest the first time round, she felt was not achievable. I am led to believe that you got quite angry with her and then passed the phone to someone else who also got angry with her, to the point she ended the call. Despite this my colleague did take the time to send you a letter explaining when she refused to market it. I think a 1 star review for simply saying we were not able to market it is quite unfair and our staff should not need to end a call due to how they are spoken to. Any business should have the right to say no thank you.
