My husband and I have purchased a 4 bed house on this development. We had read the mixed reviews on the forums. We haven’t lived in the house long enough to know what issues will arise if any but we had a couple of teething problems which I am pleased to say Persimmon sorted out very swiftly and satisfactorily. Lucinda is absolutely fantastic, she’s always bright, happy and can’t do enough to help. The whole way through our purchase Lucinda was keeping in touch and keeping us updated. Tamsin is also fantastic and telephoned me whenever I had any questions. The reassurance from Tamsin and Lucinda were the main reason we purchased our home. Barry, the site manager is amazing. You only have to mention something to him and he returns with whatever you need and is always on hand to support you. All the builders are friendly and considerate on site. They keep noise and disruption to a minimum. All new homes and sites have issues with varying degrees and you expect this buying a new home.

If you are ok living on a temporary building site then come on down to Swan park. We have had a couple of weeks here in our new house and apart from the snagging list on the 7 days most things ( touch wood) are being completed for us. It's dusty yes but to live in a new house that has never been lived in before is worth it. The builders will be moving on soon to start the build further along the route. Then things will calm down. I am happy with my choice of 3 bedrooms and am glad we have a garage too. A detached house was a good idea so no sound can come through and although the garden is a fraction of the one we left behind, we have to be realistic with maintenance. I would recommend Louise or Pauline to talk with inside the sales office.

Whilst it is understood you will be living on a building site the courtesy shown and respect for keeping disturbance to a minimum is non existent. Blaring radios waking you up and on warmer days unable to open doors or windows from sides not affected by soil because of the constant torture. Your cars and windows constantly covered in dirt because the plant equipment is driven too quickly through the site. Stinky smell of the vaping children shuffling their feet slowing around the site rather than getting on with getting these incredibly slow progressing houses up. Site manager arranges to correct a massively inconvenient error only to not turn up or send anyone at all and 2 months later still nothing. The actual sales process and general consensus is that it is based on a lot of poetic licence. They are desperate to sell these houses and move you in but seriously lack consideration once you're in. A good will gesture every so often of a half price car wash voucher or your windows cleaned would be a great idea but customer service is not a strong point of theirs. We pay a little over £50 per week cleaning up after them. Water pressure is hit and miss as well as street lighting and there is a ridiculous amount of vehicles parked on the street causing a huge hazard at junctions and constant reversing to let other road users through. Badly thought out and many are just on top of each other.

Was invested in Swan Park from the very start in Spring 2021, after lots of disappointments and setbacks in build times, shattered hopes and hundreds of pounds in conveyancing fees down the drain, only to have our plot pulled from us when our sale stalled, with not so much as an apology, I would not recommend or if you do approach with caution!. Customer service when things weren't going to plan on either side was very poor indeed.

Just purchased a new home here at Swan Park. It's the first time we have lived on a building site but the men are very respectful of our presence. We have our own parking and garage and the rooms are painted white throughout. It's very …
