TrustpilotGreat to start with but then less so
I would rate this a 3.5 stars if I could. Great start with the first estate agent that was assigned to me, called Mark, but once he left I felt I was no longer taken seriously or was as valued as a customer (perhaps as I'm young). I understand there was a changing market but I think a 70k price drop in around 4 months is a bit extreme (from our first buyer which fell through to the second buyer who completed). I believe if Mark was still there we'd have got a better price for the house, but there we go. Pleasant enough staff though and very fast to respond/easy to communicate with.

Heard that it wasn't as good as the hype, however, the hype is REAL. The flatbread with burnt chilli and scallop was a 9.5, the partridge was an 8.5, the Tagilioni was a 9 and then JESUS CHRIST the iberico pork (pluma) was a joke....gave it a 9.7 but it could have been a 10. They do a naughty Japanese slipper cocktail which isn't on the menu but they were happy to make it. Straker popped his head in and around which nice and was super friendly inviting us for a photo. Overall a solid 9.5.

From the first contact with the Strakers team in providing an Evaluation and subsequent marketing of our property, they were always proficient, highly professional with excellent communication processes and skills. Our property sold on first viewing :) but the team guided us through the minefield ahead to a successful completion. A few hiccups on the way but nothing that stressed us out.

From the moment I engaged Strakers to sell my late Mother's house, they could not have been more repectful, professional and helpful. The staff dealing with the sale sent plenty of emails about progress leaving me in know doubt as to their expertise. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Strakers, and I have no connection with them.

The front end of the sale process was good and pretty well-run, leading to a buyer at nearly the asking price. The process after the sale was agreed though was deeply frustrating where we constantly had the sense that Strakers were looking after the buyer’s interests ahead of our own. Updates were vague and imprecise so that we never really knew what was going on. This made it very stressful - much more so than it needed to be.

Dee was waiting to greet us when we went to view our new home. She kept us well informed and was very thorough, helping us through the whole process, right through to completion. Very professional, yet warm and friendly, just what you yearn for being long term tenants. I get the impression nothing is too much trouble, and that when anything needs doing, Strakers are right on it. Both comforting and reassuring, especially in these times. Thank You!

If you check the reviews for strakers on any other website you will find them swamped in negative reviews, at least on the letting side. I have been with them for over 10 years, as the house I bought was let to a lovely lady and strakers had originally facilitated this with the previous owner. However today they misplaced my contact details for the Xth time and I've had it, my details have not changed since I signed my first contact with them. Yet they keep contacting the previous owner. I have escalated this issue within the company, they have 4 different methods to contact me directly if they wish and yet they never do. Gods they even sent me my automated monthly statement just fine today, and yet I got an email from the previous owner that he had recieved one with the addendum that I could not be contacted.

I put my rental property with Strakers and I will never use them again, there Area Property Manager was better than useless, when she did the contract I had to change the photo's as she did not do the inventory she found old ones so I had to change the contract, when the tenant moved in her dog chewed the carpet, this was never picked up on the inspections the tenant told me and apologised, when she left Strakers were supposed to do inspection and inventory well dirty walls a hob that had been fitted 18mths ago looked like it was 20yrs old and filthy walls had been wiped down with a dirty cloth only as high as they could reach same as windows and the agent said it was perfect in the report, there was no mention of the dog peeing in the back bedroom as it stinks and I have had to rip up carpet and underlay also replace floor boards to get rid of the smell this has cost me a small fortune, NEVER use them

GoogleMe and my partner had popped in to view some properties to rent, the lady Sian i believe is how you spell it was unbelievably rude, she didn't want anything to do with us. Very blunt and dismissive of our questions, we told her our details and our financial situations and what we were looking for and she told us they have nothing available but would call if any came up. Today we looked online and there are 6 properties within our price range she “forgot” to mention, If i were you i would never bother with strakers and go and see belvoir as their staff are welcoming, helpful and not judgemental. safe to say sian is definitely in the wrong line of work.

We brought a property through Strakers and we couldn't fault anyone we dealt with. We met Cody at our initial viewing. She was able to answers all our questions about the house and provided a great insight to the local area. During the offer process we dealt with David who was very friendly and helpful. Eleanor was amazing through the sales progression stage, keeping us in the loop every step of the way and taking the lead with keeping the other Estate Agents in the chain updated as and when required. Also, not forgetting Vicky who we dealt with over the Christmas/New Year period. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Strakers.

GoogleUnprofessional and incompetent staff at Strakers told us that there were no problems with our home when the tenants left. We got back to the U.K. to find huge amounts of damage throughout the house and the garden in a complete mess. This will cost tens of thousands of pounds and take hundreds of hours of my time to fix. I am investigating taking action against Strakers for negligence and breach of contract.

I really cannot fault Strakers. They found me a home I love living in and ensured I was able to buy it. From the start, they were supportive and reassuring. It was a tricky few months but they struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness to keep the process on track. When my selling agent and my solicitor were causing me stress, Strakers kept me together to reach the finishing line. From the start of our journey Strakers were more than helpful. They were constructive in helping us preparing the house for sale. The sales team lead by Marianne were brilliant.Once the property was on the market we had a constant flow of viewings. After having a really poor experience with another estate agents, Strakers were brilliant. Isobel got in contact with us about a property that became available again after we'd previously been interested in it, and had us a viewing booked within the week. Viewing was excellent, Tom was professional and answered all of our questions. Emails and calls back and forth about the property all throughout, keeping us up to date and always attending to our queries. Got property viewed, references done, and keys getting collected all in the time we were waiting to hear back from another estate agency. So professional and helpful!

I cannot thank Strakers enough for continually going above and beyond in assisting with our purchase. Additional thanks to Vicki who kept us updated every step of the way, and chased all parties frequently despite what must be an extremely busy time.What was particularly special, was that we felt the team were just as genuinely happy for us as we were when we completed on our dream house. I cannot recommend Strakers highly enough and if we ever move (although unlikely!) we won’t hesitate to use them.
