Purchase at Cygnet Park, Newcastle

Recently completed on my purchase at Cygnet Park. Great experience and service from my sales advisor Lesley from the start and throughout. I received regular contact by email and phone to update me on the progress of my property. She was always quick to respond to any queries that I had. Site manager Keith and Michelle from customer care have been brilliant since completion. Any issues/snags I had (which have been minor) have all been rectified within 3 weeks of my first home visit. Michelle has checked in often to ensure everything is okay. Whilst Keith was fixing something in my home he made arrangements for some other workers to come out and sort some of the issues I had (they came round within 10minutes which was fantastic). All 3 have been extremely friendly, approachable and happy to help if I need anything. Thank you for making what can be an extremely stressful time, stress-free and exciting!

My visit was excellent due to the warm welcome from Abi and her knowledge

The marketing officer Abi was excellent, having previously provided other information via email. She gave a friendly warm welcome and even provided a drink as we were parched on a hot day at the end of housing development visiting. She answered all my questions and gave me lots of relevant information about the house styles, the phase of the development and other site information. She managed others visiting the site very well, as it was busy, whilst still meeting my needs. She apologised for not being able to provide some printed information as, through no fault of her own, her printer was not working. She has promised to forward them in the post. We were able to view the show home on site after our meeting and would say this was a very successful visit. This visit in total contrast to an earlier visit to another development in Skipton I would give 10/10.

Avant Homes - Market Harborough Tens Lock. I purchased my new home with Amy at Tens Lock in Market Harborough, the whole process was amazing! Unfortunately Covid did delay the build but Amy kept me in the loop throughout the year! The customer serviced from Amy was outstanding!! on completion I met with Amy on site who handed over my keys and gifted me a beautiful Avant Home Move Box!! A lovely gift! Since moving into the property the site manager Lee has been FANTASTIC!!! he even helped me with my empty boxes! I had a slight issue with my Extractor fan in my kitchen, he was straight round to fix the issue! I have purchased a couple of New Builds before and I can honestly say Avant sale & site have been the best experience! Thank you Chloe

So my previous review was very positive about Avant homes however 10months later I am still awaiting for the faults to be repaired. I am being avoided by the customer care team who doesn’t seems to be bothered about people that moved in 10 months ago but then move on to the ones that recently have moved in. I am so gutted about how Avant decided to treat customers that spend more than £300000 on the house. I will definitely not leave it like this, I will be taking this further as i want people to be aware of it! The customer care team lies to your face and then tries to make you look bad. I am warning new buyers that for the first 4months you will receive good service then after that you will regret that you have spend so much money on a house that have more faults that you can imagine. From an unsafely fitted gas hob, to broken toilet flushes in two bathrooms. When you call them they avoid you! And I am not the only one in Collingsgate there is a chain of people that purchased houses on this estate and now regret it. So disappointed and definitely won’t leave it like this! Outstanding service from start to finish! My husband and I bought an Avant home at Collingsgate, and I must admit that we have never met such an amazing team of people. From the sales team Stephanie and Melanie has been absolutely amazing, giving us regular updates and dealing with our solicitors (which wasnt easy), we have moved in to the property just in time thanks to the ladies, even now i am having regular calls from the team to check if we have settled in, then the after sales team Lauren and Claire and the site managers Paul and Richard, they deserve 5 star review. I will 100% recommend this developer to everyone as comparing to others, these guys stand out. A big thank you especially to Stephanie for being an amazing support throughout the stressful time. Thank you once againWe are delighted with our beautiful house.

Exceptional service provided by Lewis

Recently viewed two properties at Greenlock Place and being a first time buyer I had alot of questions to get comfortable. Lewis was extremely helpful and patient with me from the get go. His pleasant personality and eagerness to help put me at ease and made the experience so much better. He was very thorough and provided alot of information to help us make the right decision and was always at hand to clear any queries I may have had. Avoid Avant homes at all costs

Well where do I start it’s quite quickly gone from a wonderful fairytale to a nightmare constantly changing completion dates, continues lies, false promises and to top it all off just a pinch of incompetence and false advertisement. To start me an my partner went to Avant and liked everything there was to offer but wanting to move before Christmas was high on are priority list.( we were looking back in October ) We thought we had really struck it lucky when we were informed there was a house available due to a sales fall through an it would be ready to move into within 2 weeks we thought great where do we sign. Fast forward two weeks we have sent over all our documents and passed all the tests with Avant’s approved partners (as this was advised for speed to completion) and were really making progress paperwork wise but the supposedly completed house hasn’t been touched, this is the beginning of the issues so if this happens to you good luck with the rest of your purchase.2 weeks on we’ve been in to select our flooring and had a brief look inside of our new home which the sales team stayed late to get this done but have since left due to Avant having a restructure of staff but then the 2nd lock down has taken hold...... but we’re assured the house is continuing as everybody involved in making a house purchase are continuing to work to covid rules and things are making progress and we’re in full swing with the solicitors but yep you guessed it Avant have still not done anything with the house we’re now in late November so the 2 weeks it will be ready is behind us and we are having to chase up every couple of days as to what’s going on and getting no where my partner complained and was contacted by someone of the Avant regional management variety who gave us all the usual promises of things will be resolved and they are going to focus on getting it sorted for us but another week goes by and our carpets are down we noticed after looking through the window so we managed to speak to someone at the now part time sales office who wasn’t aware this had happened anyway we have still had no communication from Avant even though we made multiple calls to chase things up and was told multiple times they’re going to find out and get back to us which never happened.We’re now at the end of November and we’ve been given a demo day great it’s booked the house is getting signed off imminently and we’re going to be in all be in the 2 weeks looked like 2 months on the calendar but let’s let bygones be bygones.........We’re now today 12/12/2020 and there is no keys in my hand, no sign off, well it’s signed off after my partner had to call Avant twice and both times was told someone would call us back which didn’t happen my partner then had to drive back to the sales office just to find out if the house was signed off which they said yes and the solicitor to be informed that afternoon but Avant have neglected to inform the solicitors this so it’s going to be Monday now before we continue this roller coaster unless there’s something else that’s going to crop up which given the history of this whole experience as a lesson I’m sure there will be but completion looks to be sometime in 2021 after initially being told in ready mid November. To add insult to injury we briefly spoke to the site manager today who seems to be the only helpful person that Avant employee he then informed us off the sign off being complete but was completely in the dark about the demo day that Avant had booked in on their system apparently and the solicitors have also informed us Avant has never intended for completion this side of the new year!Thanks for reading what felt like my life story up to date hopefully this will give you a brief all be it bitter insight into buying a property with Avant. This has been my personal experience with Avant and if I had to do this all over again I would have never even entered the marketing office. My advice is to avoid this company at all costs even if it means renting that little bit longer wait for a more professional firm to start building in your desired area.

Excellent Spec

Excellent SpecI work within construction and have worked with most of the 'top 10' builders and avant spec is superior to any other builder. I reserved my home in February with an intended completion of April, unfortunately lockdown put an end to that however i was kept informed of progress by Kelly, Olivia & Jeanette @ City Quarter, Wakefield. Reservation was on the weekend the showhomes opened so i was fortunate enough to choose from pretty much any plot but having spoken to the mortgage advisor i settled on a Seabridge. Valuation took some time so the process seemed never ending, i eventually took ownership in October. As with any manmade product built in all conditions some issues have been reported and are well on the way with been sorted with Rob and the site team on the ball, the whole process has been relatively straighforward (minus lockdown anyway!) I'll certainly be recommending to anyone looking for a new home in Wakefield (WHich is currently very very competitive)

Today we went to the Avant Homes Princes Gate development in Pontefract to discuss our options for our new home, me and my partner were greeted by James Setters one of of the sales advisors for Princes Gate, Right away he made us feel at ‘Home’ he went through everything in thorough detail! We both had a long list of questions and by the time we were finished he had answered every single one Very knowledgeable, who knew there was so much to know about a house... Love our new Avant house

Balfour Park Plot 221 Love our new Avant house. The buying process was made as easy as possible during the Pandemic which made things difficult for everyone. There was no pressure to complete as they knew we were having issues with our buyer. We worked together to finally get into the house albeit 5 months later than planned. Nobody's fault. Good communication with Customer Care who try to make things happen and very approachable and listen to us. Only thing we have issues with are our bi-fold doors and attempts have been made to rectify this but all to no avail so far. They are the only thing that lets the house down from being perfect.Very high end finish.

I reserved a plot on the De Rhodes site back in October and so far I have had a very positive experience. I visited another site to see a show home of the house I saw and found the sales person at this site to be friendly and welcoming as well as helpful.I then went to the site and dealt with a lady call Cath who I reserved my plot with. Cath was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming and was a pleasure to deal with. She made me feel like my purchase was important and that she cared not only about my purchase but also making sure it was the right plot for me. Since then I was contacted by a lady called Jenny Bennett who has taken over the management of my sale. She called to introduce herself and also to ensure I had all I needed and then emailed to make sure I have her contact details.I have called a couple of times for various bits and bobs and she has always been very helpful and always got whatever I needed done with a very quick turnaround. I am feeling comfortable and excited for the rest of my purchase journey.

Avant Dargavel Village - Bishopton

Absolutely fantastic service from beginning to finish. What started off as a simple browse of the show home to determine if we were looking to move to the area quickly moved to seriously considering one of the Ashbury homes with full support from Barbara Straiton. I can not fault Barbara’s service at all she is not only friendly but she is knowledgable, approachable and was constantly there for support during the process. We also had assistance from Louise throughout appointments and again, she was excellent. You often hear horror stories about purchasing a brand new build but Barbara put our mind at ease and I can say we are in our new home and it’s great. Neighbours are lovely and it is the best decision we made. There was a few snags upon moving in but Avant were quick to sort them. Thanks to Barbara, Louise and Alex, the site manager. Just a small note to say; We haven’t purchased a house as of yet but have dropped in on Lewis at his sales office multiple impromptu times. And have always been pleasantly and patiently received by Lewis. He’s not pushy & has understood our bespoke circumstances with umming and ahhhing. (we have previously purchased a house that Lewis oversaw and rereading those emails 100% responsible, thorough & courteous) We have recommended Greenlock Place to friends & neighbours. Just bought a property from Avant at their Millbrook Development in Middlesbrough, and could not be more delighted with our home and the service we received. Best home buying experience!

My partner and I contacted the City Fields sales team for some extra information, went to view the showhomes just to see what kind of house we were after with no intention of reserving that day... 3 hours later we had fallen in love and reserved! Right from the inital phone calls, Kelly and Olivia couldn't have been more helpful. They've made our buying journey as stress-free as possible, and we're so excited to finally be living in our new home. We were updated and reassured every step of the way. Moved house 4 weeks ago now onto the Danetre Place site and the process couldn’t have gone better, Natalie was brilliant start to finish always kept us informed and would always go above and beyond. Even with major issues on moving day she helped us so much when she didn’t need to, Avant helped sort out issues which were even their fault and was the solicitors. Since the move Dave the site manager has been great with keeping in touch and helping us where he can. Work has been prompt and as of yet not had to chase anything up.

Love our new home

This is the third new build home I’ve lived in and by a country mile Avant are my favourite. The designs are gorgeous and modern there’s lots of options too.Natalie J at the sales office in Danetre was very efficient and friendly she seemed to be genuinely excited for our move. She made the process much easier even under the pressure of the pandemic. When we opened our moving in box she really made the additional effort.Dave the site manager has been really helpful too with the snagging list.. all new builds have snagging.The good thing is that a professional snagger said the house and build quality is high quality.I didn’t give five stars because the solicitors Gowlings were a bit of nightmare though i understand they have changed them now. Also on moving in day the there wasn’t a tidy/clean. Minor things in the big picture

We have been in our new home for just one week and WOW, what a stress free AND personal service we have received from all involved from start to finish.Peter, the sales representative is full of knowledge, knows his role inside out and goes above and beyond in every single way. Phenomenally high quality!

Recently moved into Birkey Heights and what an awesome experience throughout! From Kyle, Peter and Julie in sales, to James the site manager, Laura at customer care and all the people who have built our new home! Everyone we’ve met has gone above and beyond to help with anything we’ve needed. Everything has been done as promised and we’re really happy with the service and build quality of the property. They’re incredible houses and the lads still on site are friendly and you can see they all really care about what they’re doing. I hope this review is shared with them and James can pass on a ‘socially distant’ hi-5 from us! We look forward to properly settling in and know that Laura will support us if anything else comes up. The best new build developer by far..

From the moment I made a call to Avant Homes - Cityfields, Wakefield to see if they still had any two bedroom properties available to view/potentially purchase I knew they were the developer for me. Their customer service was / is brilliant. I was made to feel welcomed and at ease (I viewed the property just as we came out of lockdown)My Avant journey has been some what of a rollercoaster ride to get me to completion but I couldn't have done it with out the Sales team (Jeanette, Kelly and Olivia) They have been on hand every step or bump of the way (and these bumps were not on Avant's part in anyway) I am just under a week into my new Avant home and I couldn't be happier. Plot 6 was meant for me :) As well as the them, the on-site team, Rob and the team that are still on site building other Avant homes have truly looked after me. Nothing I ask is an issue, they greet me every day as if I'm part of the site team (which is lovely as their is only me and another couple on site at the moment so I really feel at home even though we are still in construction but its all part of the experience and I love it). I would highly recommend Avant to any first time buyer (or any home buyer in fact). My home is exceptional (yes there are a few snags but all of these are easily fixable so do not be put off by any other comments - it's bound to have these and the team offer an after care service) In terms of the home fixtures theses are really good quality and the finish/specification on the homes is by far the best compared to other new build developers.I am so glad I made that call and came down to Cityfields - this will be a life long memory I treasure. A huge thank you to all of the Avant team on / off site you've made my whole buying experience so much more enjoyable.
