Purchased a property through Cavendish, whilst I appreciate the agents are acting on behalf of the seller, the level of service, effort and tenacity shown to us by Rebecca was exemplary. Emails were responded to promptly, she kept all parties aware of who was actioning what documentation, my particular purchase was elongated as a number of unforeseen issues arose however Rebecca was ‘on the ball’ all time knowing who had to what between various third parties. It gave us a huge amount of confidence that the sale was being managed. In a word, ‘superb’.

GENUINE REVIEW - Be aware Cavendish employs predatory business practices such as ensuring they take a sizeable chunk from your deposit at the end of tenancy, even if you professionally clean the property. They purposely do this on the hope the tenant will be so desperate for the deposit money back they will accept such a scam. Luckily enough for me it’s not about the money it’s the principle and pointing out such predatory practices to protect the vulnerable from rogue letting agencies.

Thank you Cavendish! We used the Chester office for our sale, cannot fault the service at all. The whole process took a very long time, a huge thank you Becks and the team for always being so positive, polite and keeping the faith even when we had given up! Whenever we called you answered the phone, and your communication within the office meant we could always get the answers we needed! My family cannot thank you enough 😀

Tried to book viewings on a property, lady on the phone wasn’t very helpful and by the sounds of it they don’t have a lot of time to show people properties, she wasn’t bothered when we said we’d leave it, she just said ok and bye, if I was the owner of that property I’d be very angry that they haven’t gone out their way to schedule a viewing, disappointing service.

Fantastic service from Cavendish. Lots of interest in our cottage - we sold within 48 hours of going on the market. Luned and Caroline kept me informed of the process all the way down the line. Although it was a long drawn out procedure- not their fault- they kept pushing he solicitors along. Nice and friendly gave good, experienced advice when necessary.

Not been great at all! Been renting a property that’s just awful, so many issues from Dec 2023 that still have not been sorted and it’s now June! Asked to leave early and they have told me I need to pay the monthly rental and CT as well as £535+ VAT to leave. Kitchen cupboards not put on properly, curtain poles hanging off, mould in the en suite, not even given a new toilet seat, not cleaned for when we moved in, told not to use the gas fire😳 front door opens when it’s not locked, lounge door bangs when closed, most of the windows in the property have blown and you can’t see out of them. I could go on! Some issues have been sorted however the most concerning one is still outstanding! Have sent numerous emails and was told by a lady in the Mold office that ‘the landlord won’t do anything now as it’s the summer’ absolutely ridiculous!! Sort yourselves out Cavendish I’m paying £900 per month!!!

Cavendish have sold 2 of our houses in the past, happy with the service so instructed them to act for us again. Eventually sold but not without its challenges, no assistance with viewings (doesn’t work Wednesdays or Sundays, too short notice so gave up asking). Asked for advice on improving chances of sale, shrugged shoulders and said reduce price by X% to register on Rightmove. Very little in the way of sales negotiation, very much left to me to decide on how to proceed. Email to say a sale had fallen through-expected a phone call given the significance of this. Overall a poor experience this time

Unfortunately, in my personal experience, this company failed to disclose significant information in my case. I was genuinely taken aback by the management's apparent lack of comprehension regarding consumer legislation. As a result, the matter is currently under investigation by the Property Ombudsman.

Need more than 5 stars! The process of selling our house took 19 months and without the consistent help and support including tears and laughter of Caroline we would never had got to our new house. Any issues and concerns were always supported and thoroughly helped so we could make the process happen. So 100 stars would be about right. Thank you utterly totally and completely x x x

Very impressed with everything about Cavendish following on from a rather difficult sale. The entire staff were simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they undertook numerous viewings at a moment’s notice to fit in with potential buyers and then provided me with excellent follow up feedback and advice. This is what true professional estate agency is all about, not massive TV advertising using expensive actors, where in reality, sellers do much of the work themselves, but experienced locally based staff who know their market.

As a tenant, found a senior member of the Mold office difficult. Every e mail from her was curt and officious, with no need. They seem to default to the stance that every tenant is going to wreck the property or leave it in a bad condition - which we did not nor ever would. Would not rent from them again.
