Excellent Agents - Wards, Rochester

We have recently sold our property through the Rochester branch of Wards. We cannot fault the service we have received. Initially, we approached 3 different estate agents to gain a valuation. The first two showed little interest or enthusiasm for our home. One arrived 45 minutes late for the appointment, had no idea about the local market and acted unprofessionally throughout. He told us he would have difficulty selling our property and valued it at a whopping £100,000 less than what we achieved (and it was only on the market for a couple of weeks!). From our initial meeting, Jason from Wards stood head and shoulders above the other agents. He had current market data, trends and comparable properties prepared in advance. Furthermore, it was obvious that he knew the local market. He had recent experience of selling property in our road and had potential buyers in mind from the outset. His knowledge and approach gave us complete confidence. From that point on, the team have worked quickly, efficiently and with compassion to bring about the sale we had hoped for. I cannot recommend them more highly. You will pay a little extra to instruct Wards but it is an investment worth making.

Do not use Wards

Do not use Wards, simply use the Robinson Michael and Jackson estate agents next door.Wards were in regular contact whilst they were trying to get me to put my house on the market with them. The second I put my house up with them, the contact stopped!They didn't even contact me for days to let me know that they had received a full asking price offer on my house. The only way I found out was because I called the receptionist to find out if they had any more viewings arranged. She advised me then and there that there was a full asking offer which was sat on the system for over a week.My buyer later told me that she nearly went elsewhere as she was advised that I wasn't coming back to her on the offer so assumed I was not interested. I was interested and did sell to her in the end as the only reason I learnt I had an offer is because I phoned to see if there were any viewings. LOL!!! I have to laugh otherwise I would cry!On moving day, I went to collect my keys from RMJ next door. They made no money from me but congratulated me and provided me with a box of goodies.I then went into Wards who have made money from my sale. Not even a congratulations. Instead we was met my a woman who didn't even say hello, simply told us she would not accept our keys and we needed to drop them to our buyer. (Even though we was told to bring them down :S) The rudeness was a joke so I simply left the keys with them)One thing I must say is that Judy Day of Wards was brilliant. She was the only person at Wards who seemed to care. She is everything that everyone at Wards should aspire to be like. Everyone else there was incapable and did not care about the customer once they won the business.AVOID WARDS LIKE THE PLAUGE!Wards - Give Judy a pay rise and let her run the company as she would do a better job than anyone else there

Although I didn’t buy a house through Wards, I thought I would write and complement James on his excellent customer service. A few months ago I missed out on a purchase in broad Oak, someone pipped me to the post, but James said he would keep in contact if anything went wrong.Yesterday he called me to say the sales had fallen through and would I like a viewing.Unfortunately I had just paid a deposit for exchange on another property, just 10 minutes before James called.He was complimentary about my decision and very courteous. What a polite and well mannered young man. He is an asset to Wards and I would recommend him to any prospective customers.
