I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share how excellent my experience with Land Estate was from start to finish. From the moment I made contact, they were prompt and responsive, arranging a viewing on the same day. The agent who showed me around the property was not only professional and clear in his explanations, but also incredibly gracious and welcoming, even though I arrived quite late. He took the time to walk me through everything thoroughly, which made me feel confident and at ease about the space. Throughout the referencing and documentation process, the whole team remained polite, patient, and professional. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. I also appreciated how transparent they were, there was never a sense that they were trying to overcharge or take advantage in any way. Even the phone staff were friendly and helpful, it really felt like I was in good hands the entire time. Avoid Land Estates in Dartford, Disrespectful, Dismissive, and Racially Discriminative I had an extremely disappointing experience with Land Estates Dartford. Everything seemed fine when communication was over the phone and via email, the property was secured. However, when I visited the office in person, the atmosphere changed. The staff, who had previously been accommodating, appeared shocked when they met me in person, seemingly taken aback that I was Black, having assumed otherwise due to my "English-sounding" voice on the phone. The agent I had been dealing with became visibly uncomfortable and quickly fetched his manager, Kim. I was then taken into a private office and subjected to an interrogation about my personal details, as if it were a job interview, despite having already been pre-approved and asked to pay a holding deposit prior to this visit. After this grilling session, I was told the property would be mine and that they would call me, but no call ever came. When I followed up, I was repeatedly told Kim was unavailable due to meetings, even though I could see her at the office during one of my visits. Eventually, I was told she had sent an email, which I hadn’t received until I pushed for it. It was evident that once they saw my ethnicity, they decided to withdraw the offer. To make matters worse, they didn’t relay the full extent of my offer to the landlord and instead told him a lie that my rent couldn’t be guaranteed, which is absolutely false and can be proven. In a time when communities should be working together and promoting unity, this company’s behavior has exposed deep-seated, systematic racism. They not only lied to me but also misled the landlord to suit their discriminatory agenda. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise others to avoid dealing with them. Thank you for your reply. However, I must clarify a few important points and express my serious concern about how this matter has been handled. Firstly, your response publicly referenced details about my personal financial situation, which I had not disclosed publicly. This is a clear violation of GDPR regulations, as it involves sharing confidential information without my consent. Since this was done on a public platform, I am left with no choice but to take this matter further to protect my rights. Secondly, contrary to your claims, my financial status was not reviewed in detail. Additionally, I have received written confirmation from the council that they were willing to act as a guarantor, and I hope this information was shared with the landlord as per standard procedure. It is evident from your response that the company is trying to shift the narrative and avoid accountability, but the facts remain clear. I will be exploring my legal options due to the breach of confidentiality and the misinformation presented here. I urge you to be more cautious in the future to avoid similar breaches of confidentiality and ensure a more respectful treatment of your clients.

I had a wonderful experience as a first time buyer with Land Estates. After having a previous sale fall through, I was slightly apprehensive about the process . However, I must say that Lewis is a star. His communication skills, professionalism, kindness and patience is second to non. I had dealt with a previous estate agent company and Land Estates exceeded my expectations . Secondly, I strongly appreciated how adaptive they are when it comes to means of communication. Emails are easier for me to access than calls and Lewis promptly picked up on this and used this as the means of communication . Lewis deserves a promotion as far as I'm concerned- he is an asset to the team and is clearly dedicated in his profession. He has fantastic negotiation skills and is able to promptly address any issues in order to maintain the sale. Thank you so much! The Land Estate is an amazing agency. I’ m saying that because recently I bought a property and theoretically we weren’t a client but Mr Powell and especially Ms Harris were professional towards us. They we’re replying very fast to our email when questions were raised and always keeping in touch with us and not because of we were buying a flat just because they care, which is very hard to find someone like this which doesn’t know you but trying to help you in getting everything done properly. We had a fantastic experience with Land Estates and, in particular, Donna. We looked at a number of local estate agents and had undertaken a good deal of independent research of properties sold in our local area and opted for Land Estates as we felt they made the best assessment of our home, had great experience of the market, were friendly, professional, gave good counsel, were easy to work with and they offered great value. It also helped that Donna, and Land Estates more broadly, had come highly recommended by a family member who had used them for a transaction a few years earlier. Our transaction dragged on, through no fault of Land Estates, but Donna was proactive throughout, always available to talk and helped push through the transaction when at times it was lagging elsewhere in the chain. Buying/selling can be a stressful time and having a friendly, reliable partner really helps smooth out the journey to remove as much stress as possible. We’d happily recommend them and we’re very glad we went with them.

The best way I can provide feedback is to share extracts of the email I send to the Owner and MD of Land Estates about my experience: "As I came to Land Estates because I know you Ali, I wanted to tell you directly about my experience. On the whole, the whole Land Estate team communicated with me quickly and efficiently. Someone was always on the case on the rare occasion Lewis want around or was doing something else. However 95% of everything that happened did so through Lewis. I want to express just how good he was. Lewis works a lot like I do, always contactable at almost all hours, always with something to add and pertinent thoughts to share. Our property finder called him tenacious and I think that is a fair description. Relentlessly pushing on our behalf of his own volition and in response to my harassing nature to chase the slowest moving part which in the end was Muve. He remained positive through the near 50 viewings so kept us from despondency with his own confidence that he shared with us. He was sensitive and understanding when I was finding it difficult nearer the end.............For me personally, Lewis was exactly the type of agent I needed and I don’t take for granted his availability to respond...........
