Welcoming and knowledgeable staff

My husband and I recently visited the site at Gladstone Grange in Hawarden and although there were no show homes ready to view we were extremely impressed by Carol who was on site that day. She could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She showed us the layout of the site and the homes to be built and was able to answer our questions regarding house styles and fittings. We were both really impressed with what we saw. The location is lovely and the site layout looks well thought out with plenty of open green spaces. The house designs are perfect for modern day living with lots of choice on size etc. We felt that Carol was a great asset to the company. We will be going back.

A Fantastic Experience with Castle Green

We have been looking for a house to buy for quite some time. My parents bought a house with Castle Green in Thornton and they had such a great experience with the team at Castle Green. I decided I would buy a property on the same development as I felt at ease knowing I was in good hands.Donna, Vikki, Eve and the whole team are so supportive and always on call no matter how big or small the questions are. We also met our site manager Wayne who we cannot thank enough for his reassurance that the property is in good hands. His attention to detail is incredible and you know he cares and is treating our new home as if it was his own.All of the workmen on the site are very tidy and very friendly and the roads are constantly being cleaned so there is minimal mess for the occupied properties.When thinking about a new build in this area i cannot recommend enough the whole team they are outstanding. Thank you to Donna, Vikki, Eve and Wayne. We feel totally relaxed, reassured and excited about our new home!I must say also, the show homes are so amazing and it’s great your able to go in anytime to get some inspiration.

*** sadly having to edit this review due to major snags still outstanding *** edited November 2024I meant every word of what I said below when I wrote this, but 15 months down the line and some major snags still not sorted, our patience is wearing very thin and it's spoilt the whole experience of what started off so positive. We've had our whole floor ripped up upstairs, holes drilled to fix the worst creaky floor I've ever heard and its still not right. They admitted it was poor hence agreeing to come in and sort over a whole 5 day period with us moving furniture and having carpets ripped up. They've come up with no plan to fix the remaining half of rooms that they couldn't do due to fitted wardrobes and the floor has become worse in parts. They cut corners in our ceiling from our garage to en-suite by not putting any insulation in and after we'd painted our garage ceiling and installed lights it all had to be ripped out and insulation pushed through. I've had a hole cut in my hallway as they only put one light in instead of 2. We've got an uneven ceiling in our family area of the kitchen which may result in major structural work. We've got a join in our bedroom carpet that shouldn't be there. Our extractor cooker hood never worked and after 12 months (due to a neighbour discovering the same) did we find that a plug socket had been left on top of the filter and not even screwed to the wall).Fencing has failed twice and we are awaiting someone to fix it. Fan in daughters en-suite has failed and I was told 5 weeks ago to perhaps not use her en-suite until it was fixed ! It's still not been fixed. How is this acceptable in a small en-suite to have no working fan. My kitchen fan has never worked and they came to fix this when they came to screw the plug to the wall for the extractor cooker hood. Our rear garden has no drainage system and is a sodden mess for weeks after heavy rain and unusable in the winter for our dog. We've had a leak in daughters en-suite with it flowing out from where the toilet meets the tiles due to ill fitting pipework. Repeated leak in other daughters bathroom and despite them coming out and fixing, they don't know how to permanently resolve it. I'm still waiting on a plumber to come and sort out the knocking when my washing machine is on or when you close taps off (months I've been waiting on this) Was told by one of their contractors that several of ours internal doors were bowed, then they sent someone to fix them who said they weren't bowed and attempted to fix them, but they still are bowed. I can't even be bothered going over old issues with them.I'm tired of chasing and I'm tired of people in my house. This is on top of approx 80/90 other snags which have been resolved but these are major and I feel like no-one is doing anything anymore.Fencers finally turned up on thursday after me chasing again and asking for a plan of action by Thursday just gone (luckily we were in) as nobody told us they we calling.Their customer service has declined as time has gone on and we've come to the realisation that their workmanship is poor and has totally ruined what should have been a happy experience due to us constantly having to chase and report issues. I want everything boxed off now so that I can maybe start to enjoy our home. *jan24* We moved into our Wiltshire in August 2023. It was a long wait from when we secured the plot at the end of October 2022, but it was worth it. Venita, Fiona, Lucas, Mike and Darren were brilliant from start to finish. We had a few issues with pendants that we paid extra for not being put in the right place but after a few visits prior to build complete we got there in the end.We went from an 1850 cottage to a brand new build so it was a little unnerving for us, but the house is stunning and the finish is excellent. We've had snags but everyone at Castle Green could not have done more and continue to even nearly 6 months on. If we've had an issue or a problem, they are always contactable and react very quickly to sorting any problem out. We still have a few outstanding and ones that we've noticed as we've become more settled but I'm confident they will all be resolved. Their customer service is second to none and we are very pleased with the house and everything Castle Green are doing. They go above and beyond to put things right and I do believe they've learnt and continue to learn and improve even more as they go along. We've been very lucky and it's great to have the confidence that should anything not be right, Castle Green and their customer care team will put it right, and quickly. Special thanks also to Hannah who is always at the end of an email or message. Also special thank you to Nigel Site Manager for offering us a few discarded plants from their old sales office, made our garden look lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Castle Green to anyone looking to buy a new build.
