First home made easy

Myself and my partner were struggling to find our first home together. Abbie Tallack from cubit and west was the agent who helped us find our first home and made it absolutely stress free. I would absolutely recommend her service and the cubit and west company to anybody looking to move. I am so thankful for her friendly personality and never feeling afraid to give her a call when I needed too. She is a credit to the company and I personally thank her for all of her help.

Excellent service start to end from these 2 guys. They got my property rented within days. As a landlord who doesn’t live locally they made my life so much easier by assisting in getting jobs done that were proving difficult for me to do from a distance. One fine example was providing a floor plan with measurements for me to get the carpets replaced. They went the extra mile in doing what needed to be done to get the new tenant in promptly. great company if you want to lose value on your property & lose your buyer; who cannot sell when the going gets "really" tough! (i.e. - slow down in economy/market) - in a good market even a monkey can sell anything! They are NOT able to prove their mettle in genuine tough times with incompetent progression staff.

I bought an apartment through Cubitt and West and within a few weeks I wish I’d sold through them too. The guys here were great, David really gave such a personal service, he knew who I was every time I called and helped out loads! Any issues I had I came to them rather than my own agents.Julie looked after the sales process and kept me so up to date with any changes quicker than my own agents! If I ever buy or sell a property I’d only ever go to them here. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you.

Horrible lettings management

We've had a poor experience of the rental management by Cubitt and West. If we ever need anything, from trying to renew our tenancy to getting a replacement integrated fire alarm, it takes us weeks or months to receive a response. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are unreturned, and reports via the tenant hub are ignored (if the tenant hub is even working to be able to report an issue).In short, we wouldn't recommend renting a property where Cubitt and West manage the letting - nor choosing them as your lettings agent! Avoid.

Terrible experience

I entrusted the potential sale of my lease hold flat to them, and wished i had not. Their sales adviser came round and gave me the usual sales pitch, and explained how they were the experts, with proper advertising and marketing. She took what was she thought, to be the relevant pictures and video on her own camera, saying it would be better than the other service which is provided at a cost. The other service would also take some weeks. I signed up and asked for a prompt advert. The flyer was mailed to me. When i noticed important information was missing, immediately I tried to contact the sales adviser, to inform her. She was unavailable. Asked for her to contact me. No reply. Too late, the property was already onto the internet. They failed to display all of the relevant rooms, and mention recent upgrade changes I had made to the property. Too late now the property is online not looking it's best. Particularly against other more professionally advertised company marketing.I later discovered, she/they did not take my contact number correctly, so they could not make contact with me by phone'. I would conclude, they are an amateurish, greedy- the most expensive, and unprofessional outfit. No, the property did not sell, or attract any offers, or viewings.

FREEZING COLD NEGLECTED TENANTS

TENANTS - DO NOT USE CUBITT & WEST!! We have been living in a house in Hove which we pay £3,000 a month for. It is a beautiful house, but one main problem . . . . the boiler is insufficient - in fact IMMEDIATELY DANGEROUS as condemned by an engineer who then shut off our gas supply, leaving us with no heating or hot water! This is not too big a problem normally, but this has been going on for a year now on a regular basis. When you try and get Cubitt & West on the phone, it is like talking to a brick wall - no one really cares and certainly only do the bare minimum with no urgency! I would rather live in a shed with heating. Are all estate agents this bad????

I’m new to wearing glasses and chose Cubitts for my first pair. The quality of the product, customer service and website functionality, in my personal opinion were all 10/10. Once I’d placed the order, Cubitts customer service (Neeti) checked in that everything went to plan and offered progress updates and answered any questions I may have through email - a real person helping me through - especially important when physical shopping has been made so difficult. Other companies should take a note out of their book.
