⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service from Charlotte & Hannah, Barnard Marcus Croydon I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Charlotte and Hannah at Barnard Marcus Croydon for the exceptional service and support they gave me throughout the sale of my late father’s property. This was not a straightforward transaction. As the property formed part of an estate, there were complications and unexpected delays along the way, including matters outside the estate agent’s control. Throughout all of this, Charlotte and Hannah remained professional, patient, responsive and genuinely supportive. Charlotte’s communication was outstanding. She kept me informed, responded quickly whenever I needed assistance and continually helped to keep the transaction moving. There were times when the process became stressful and frustrating, but I always felt that Charlotte was doing everything she reasonably could to help get the sale successfully over the line. Hannah was equally professional and supportive. It was very reassuring to know that there was such a strong and dependable team behind the sale. What impressed me most was that I never felt like I was simply another property transaction. Their approach was personal, caring and professional from beginning to end. After everything involved in this sale, reaching completion was a huge relief. I am genuinely grateful to Charlotte and Hannah for the part they played in making that happen. I am now dealing with another estate property matter, and if that property becomes available for sale in the future, I would have absolutely no hesitation in returning to Charlotte and Hannah at Barnard Marcus. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Your hard work, patience and kindness have been greatly appreciated. Highly recommended. Five stars without hesitation.

It seems that an experience of discrimination was a systemic issue with this branch. Three years ago I had the misfortune of dealing with the previous branch manager. He was actively discriminating against people on low incomes. This was in the form of blocking viewing and ignoring chasing. My previous tenancy lasted 14 years so you can't argue that I wasn't a good tenant and he knew this. When I did eventually confront the discrimination he was obnoxious, arrogant and unapologetically firm about his stance that I could not view properties. Fast forward three years and my daughter has just told me about a conversation she had with Shoshana Cooksley. It started positively. There was no attempt to block a viewing, however she requested income levels far from proportional for the rent being asked once she discovered my daughter's income status. This was much more indirect and insidious, but amounted to blocking my daughter from viewing or applying for the property she was enquiring about. It's sad that this branch still think this an acceptable practice. Even sadder that people like Shoshana Cooksley are unable to think about the bigger picture. What looks good on paper doesn't equate to a good tenant. The laws are changing very soon and when they do this won't fly. This practice is driving homelessness, how these people sleep at night astonishes me. In answer to the estate agents response. It's an entirely accurate reflection of the behaviour of two different staff members 3 years apart. You are fair from inclusive and it's not an allegation, and given Lucy wasn't there she doesn't be able to refute it. I would like to think you'll learn from this review but I very much doubt it until someone reports the practice within this branch to the redress scheme you are registered with. Rather than calling reviewers liars, perhaps correct your policies in line with discrimination laws relating to housing .

I am now happy n my lovely new home(moved 16th june 26 ) introduced and sold to me by Alfie Metson _ I cannot recommend this guy highly enough - why? He was obviouslly genuinely interedsted in finding out what I wanted and then finding it for me - he was friendly and relaxed but totally professional, I never fet pressurisedd in any way if I did nt like a property Althugh I asked to see the property I bought quite a few times he was always as relaxed and willing to find a date that was convenient for me while also fitting in t his busy viewing schedule - when I was concerned about the prooerty being too small,he immediately came up with several useful practical suggestions - one of which overbed cupbard unit listing 2 different suppliers - I followed up on this and i am really pleased with the result - until a few years ago I had built my own property portfio of more than 30 properties so i am very familiar with different qualities of agent - and i would say Alfie is the best i have ever met and he should go far in this profession or in fact any other as while being totally professinal he is also ambititious and interested in getting a good result for his client - Thank you Alfie
