The Leightons team were brilliant from Day 1. We first encountered them at a First Time Buyers event, where we were talked through the process along with a solicitors firm and mortgage advisor. This was a massive help in what seemed like a very daunting process. Fast forward 6 months and Leightons had a house listed that was exactly what we were looking for. Helen and the team kept us informed throughout, very helpfully advised on various parts of the process which helped us complete on our first home comfortably before Christmas. I have nothing but positives things to say about everyone at Leightons, from the first property I viewed with Charlotte I knew the house I was going to buy would be with them, Charlotte was so friendly and helpful, even when I wanted to view so many properties it was never a problem, always helpful and recommending other properties that might be more to my requirements. Once I finally picked my new home, I was then passed on to Helen who was supportive, answered all my questions, nothing was ever a problem. You pay for a service and wow, what a brilliant service from start to finish it was. The whole team are friendly, efficient and diligent. Special thanks to Emma for your polite and friendly approach and sending lots of perspective buyers our way, as well as ringing so promptly with feedback. Thank you to Helen your professionalism, warm approach and service with a smile. Finally, a big thanks to Michael for his support throughout with both our sale and purchase. From the outset, Michael was honest and realistic, offering a genuine valuation of our house rather than giving us a sales pitch. He doesn’t tell you what you want to hear, he tells you what your property is worth and this is what we appreciated. Michael also found us our new home, exactly what we were looking for, and we were lucky enough to view it and have an offer accepted pre-market. His support after our offer was accepted and on both sides of the transaction, was excellent. His proactive approach in keeping things moving, especially with solicitors, made such a difference. If it had been possible to pay Michael our solicitors’ fees as well, I absolutely would have! What is a stressful life event was made a lot easier by having a very good estate agent that provided us with reassurance and regular updates via WhatsApp, phone or email. Leightons stand out from their competitors with their proactive approach and brilliant communication. As buyers, we particularly noticed the difference, especially when one Local agent took nine days to call us for our feedback! Honestly, don’t waste your time getting valuations from anyone else. Sell with Leightons, you won’t be disappointed! 😊

I can highly recommend Leightons Estate Agency. I recently sold my house with them in Sutton-in-Craven and they’ve been fantastic from start to finish with great attention to detail and always very proactive, especially chasing up solicitors. I accepted an offer within one week of signing with them! Michael and all the staff have been more than helpful, professional, responsive and lovely. I can honestly say they are the best estate agent I’ve ever dealt with (and I’ve had dealings with quite a few, some absolutely awful). From the start of the process Leightons were great with communication. From arranging the valuation and explaining the process of selling as it was our first time selling and buying, to helping us through the negotiations of the sale of our house as well every stage untill completion. Helen as well as the other team members were always there ready to answer questions and offer support. We were kept well informed of what was happening and they made sure that the sale was kepted on track. Having a WhatsApp group was great for communication and made it easy to do while working. Also when we viewed houses that leightons were selling, they were always well informed and could answer all the questions we had which we did not experience with other agents. This is my second time using Leightons for the sale of my house and they have been absolutely fantastic on both occasions. My most recent sale completed 28/03/25 so was a rush in time for the stamp duty change deadline. Helen was the main contact but we did speak to Emma and Ruby as well. Everyone at Leightons is really focused on selling your house. The marketing is proactive and communication and effort is 100%. I've dealt with other EA where you feel like you are an inconvenience really and that the house is left to sell itself on Rightmove. Not with Leightons. They are positive, proactive and keep you informed at every stage so you know what's going on with the whole chain. Couldn't recommend more highly. Thanks to all🙏

The only word i have for the service provided during the sale of my house is outstanding. Having sold a property before with a bigger organisation i got no after care or support throughout the process so it came as a total shock that Hellen was consistently on hand to guide us through the process provide support and guidance throughout. She liaised with our buyers and nudged people along when they needed too. She did this proactively without is even needing to ask. Special mention to Ruby as well who was fantastic with keeping us updated on viewings and feedback. Such a friendly and helpful business and i would certainly be using them if we were to sell again.
