GoogleHad an excellent experience with Samuel Wood, who made the process of us relocating to our dream house a smooth, quick process and stress-free as possible. They were quick to respond to any queries and we're very thorough, friendly and professional. The new referencing system was useful and it was great to have everything in a checklist format in one place. A special thanks to Lily Dovey who was extremely helpful throughout the process. GoogleMy sister and I are very grateful to Lily and Slawek in Shrewsbury, and all the team in Ludlow (particularly Andrew who gave us great advice right at the beginning of our long journey to becoming landlords, and remained patient and helpful throughout). Everyone has been a delight to work with, and Lily was extremely helpful and understanding when guiding us through the process of finding our tenant. We are very happy with the outcome, and would thoroughly recommend Samuel Wood.

The lady Lilly with the rental department was probably the worst person to try and get any sort of information from, 2 weeks ago I was apparently accepted for a property for then a few days later telling me I wasn’t, trying to have a normal conversation on the phone is next to impossible as it sounds like the woman is always half asleep, Samuel wood as a company is probably really good but the experience I’ve had with the rental side of it was just terrible, with this situation I was almost left homeless terrible person should not be in that kind of work atall…
Hi there I am sorry to read your review and I am sure you are disappointed that you were not successful in your application to rent a property. From our records I can see that there was a lot of interest in the property you applied for, and I confirm that submitting an application does not imply you are accepted for the property. The notes show that you were reluctant to provide all the details required, which might have allowed the Landlord to consider you, and so the tenancy was not offered to you. GoogleOur house sale wasn't straightforward and as we live 100 miles away from Ludlow the sale could have been exceedingly stressful. However, Andrew dealt directly with local people and agencies and fed back to us immediately with progress, issues and options. We really feel that Andrew went above and beyond what you may expect from an estate agent. He and his staff have been absolutely fantastic in helping us sell our house. Our experiences, put these people way above your average estate agent. Cannot praise them too highly!

GoogleI put my house for sale with Samuel woods, and dealt with Jack Davies. I found the company and jack to be very professional and extremely helpful, especially when it came to the conveyancing and exchange, he was always available to help and advise me. Also very professional when dealing with potential buyers viewing my property whilst I was away. My house sold very quickly. I would thoroughly recommend this company.

I used Samuel wood for a few years to help me manage a property I was renting out as I was new at renting and dealing with tenants. I paid them a fee each month that came out of the rent and things seemed to go ok for about a year. After the year a new tenant moved in and I was getting calls about things not working, and I was under the impression that this was part of Samuel Woods job so I contacted them and they said they would sort it. This kept happening for months at a time. I also noticed that all the tenants were the same type of person they were all single mums , now I dont have anything against that but surely in 5 years you would have thought that a family would want to view a 3 bed house. The final straw came when after the last tenant they had put in moved out and items of furniture was missing and I also later found out that they had said a gas safety certificate had been done however when I asked for a copy of this they said it had not been done. It turned out that the agents when showing the house to new tenants were not letting the current tenants know and just turning up.

To name them, Alice and Andy would be top of my list, but everyone pulled their weight in their own way. Wonderful, supportive, patient, experienced, kind, expert, understanding and going out of their way to make this experience the most successful outcome for me. I rented from them for around 3 years, all pretty standard stuff but when it came to repairs & maintenance they were very slow at getting stuff done and always opted for the cheap/bodge job option wherever possible.

GoogleThroughout what turned out to be a very trying sale (caused by the various problems encountered and, to an extent caused by our buyers) Linda at Samuel Wood was outstanding. She kept us informed, advised us when we were unsure how to deal with our very slow (and often uncommunicative) buyers and steered us into the safe waters of completion whilst remaining calm and upbeat at all times. We just couldn't have hoped for a better guide through the process.

Dishonest and unscrupulous, beware they will just keep your deposit for no reason, be warned if you use these you will lose money, thieves. I am going to take legal action against them.

Not a good experience, they use letting hub as a reference company and that company is a joke. It affected our health really bad. Estate agent wasn't too bad, they did try to help but it's became too much for us.

GoogleWithout doubt the best estate agents I've had experience of; professional, proactive and informative from the initial assessment of the property through to the final sale. This sale had not been straightforward, due to Covid and other factors, but Samuel Wood managed the situation well, kept me informed and moved the process along efficiently to a good conclusion.
