I honestly don’t know where to start, as I don’t think words can fully describe how amazing Steph has been. As an introvert, I don’t always have much confidence, but Steph made every part of the process so much easier for me. Shocking Service

Shocking Service, having paid fees upfront in May 2025 we have had yet another sale fall through. Communication is terrible we were not advised that a sale we agreed in June was not going ahead until November by which time we had bought a house we have now lost. They are refusing to take any responsibility or refund our fees. Avoid at all costs. I am now having to take legal advice to try to get a refund so we can use another Estate Agent

I can’t recommend pattinson estate agents enough, from the first gentleman that showed us round for our viewing to every person we’ve dealt with they have been amazing. I’ve mainly dealt with Emily and she is an absolute credit to the company she helped us so much with everything even things that she didn’t have to deal with she went above and beyond for me and my partner. Amazing company with such lovely staff thank you so much for everything.

Kathryn Greensmith and her team at the Gilesgate branch of Pattinson estate agents were the third company who were involved in the sale of my house in Sherburn Village with two previous estate agents and auction agents struggling to even get viewings at the asking price. Kathryn suggested we increased the price to the amount we eventually sold it for and it was the drive and enthusiasm of herself and the team that brought about the sale for me. Fantastic service from start to end

I cant thank this team enough! From such a terrible previous experience with another estate agent, I was nervous to start the process again. What a difference and contrast! From the initial call, I felt valued and important and most of all I felt confident and assured that I was in the best hands and the team had my genuine best interests. My house was sold on the same day and Ellie was incredibly hands on and kept everything running to time. The communication was amazing, I knew every update and what to expect through the whole process. Pattinsons found the perfect buyers too and I wish them lots of lovely memories in their new home (just as we have had in the last 10 years).

Really disappointed

Really disappointed. We instructed Pattinsons to manage a rental property for us and were promised they would look after everything for us. Sadly the experience has not matched the promise. The communication has been shambolic. Repeated requests from different agents within the agency about the same things which have been communicated to them time and time again. No internal joined up working. This is unfair on both us as landlords and our tenants. The repairs and maintenance service they offer is also extortionate. £100 quote to replace a bathroom lock. I’ve requested to escalate this to a formal complaint now as the service offered is completely unprofessional

Pattinson is the best agency of all in the area. Our situation was not easy as we wanted to buy a house 300 miles away from where we live. Many other agencies ignored us or were downright rude, but Stephen Wilson was very committed and we felt he wanted to help us. Because of his involvement, we decided to ignore the houses put up by other agencies and only work with the Pattinson agency. And it was a very good decision. Stephen arranged for us to view the houses at times that were convenient for us, so that we could view as many as possible at one time. I had never met such a committed agent until I met Kathryn Greensmith, who later became involved in the house-buying process. She was also very helpful, like Stephen. When our solicitors didn't give us enough answers she was always available, answered all our questions, I felt I could count on her, she put me at ease many times. I have never met such wonderful and committed people in any agency. I know I will always work with them again if I ever want to sell or buy a house. I recommend Pattinson Agency wholeheartedly because they are not only agents who do their job, they are also understanding and empathetic people. Thanks to them the impossible became possible for us.
