GoogleWe sold our house with the excellent Rosemary , she was incredibly helpful, providing advice about the house presentation and price, we were always keept informed when offers came in and feedback from potential buyers, and when the Land registry threw up all manner of things as a direct result of the what seemed like the buyers inexperienced solicitor, which delayed a simple sale into a six month tortuous and costly process , she kept both parties fully informed ,when there were times when we would have happily found another buyer Rosemary helped navigate us to a successful completion, she has the patience of a saint and I would without doubt recommend both Strakers, and Rosemary.

I would rate this a 3.5 stars if I could. Great start with the first estate agent that was assigned to me, called Mark, but once he left I felt I was no longer taken seriously or was as valued as a customer (perhaps as I'm young). I understand there was a changing market but I think a 70k price drop in around 4 months is a bit extreme (from our first buyer which fell through to the second buyer who completed). I believe if Mark was still there we'd have got a better price for the house, but there we go. Pleasant enough staff though and very fast to respond/easy to communicate with.

GoogleMy partner and I wanted to write this review a few months after moving in so we could be calm, collected, and informative. We don’t think our initial frustration would have been helpful in conveying the issues we experienced. ROSEMARY is the WORST estate agent we have ever come across. This is the third property I’ve purchased, and having previously been both a landlord and estate agent, I’ve never met anyone so patronising, demeaning, and inept at their job. From the outset, Rosemary misrepresented the seller’s position and insulted our financial background. It quickly became apparent that she was friends with the sellers and displayed heavy bias in their favour. We understand that agents are paid to act in the seller’s best interest, but they are also legally obliged to be transparent and not mislead the buying party. We entered into the sale expecting a 14-week process, but it ultimately took six months. Throughout this period, Rosemary consistently worked from outdated information and blamed us harshly for missing paperwork or appointments, when, in fact, everything had been completed weeks prior. She frequently blamed us for not being “sympathetic” to the sellers, as it was a "new process" for them, and regularly withheld information and made insulting comments about our situation. Leading up to the move-in day, Rosemary asked if the sellers could remain in our property beyond completion so they wouldn’t feel rushed. She claimed it was our fault for bringing the move-in date forward, after six months! She also failed to relay our refusal to the sellers and told them otherwise. As a result, on move-in day, we collected the keys but were unable to move in because the sellers were still in the property. The office later confirmed that Rosemary had misrepresented the situation. ADAM, a director, told us not to be stressed and that they "didn’t want to get involved", an incredibly irresponsible response, especially with the seller shouting at us. The only support we received that day came from Cody, who was friendly and tried to make the experience more bearable. Since moving to the town, we’ve met four other couples who moved to Corsham within the last three years and experienced similar, avoidable stresses, also due to Rosemary. While I can’t speak on their behalf, all reported feeling belittled, misled, and patronised. That said, not everyone at Strakers behaved this way. Dave (no longer with the company) was respectful, fair, and informative during our initial dealings. Eleanor, who managed the sale, was fantastic, quick to respond and genuinely tried to push things forward. And Cody, again, made a real effort to help at the end of what had been a very difficult process. Ironically, the management team could learn a lot from their staff about how to conduct themselves professionally. In summary: It would be unfair to label Strakers Corsham as a terrible estate agency overall. If you’re a seller, Rosemary may well deliver what you want, as long as it suits her. But if you’re a buyer looking for a fair, efficient, and helpful experience, we strongly recommend being cautious when dealing with her. The agency has many good reviews, but it's important to know that your experience can vary greatly depending on which agent you're assigned.

Heard that it wasn't as good as the hype, however, the hype is REAL. The flatbread with burnt chilli and scallop was a 9.5, the partridge was an 8.5, the Tagilioni was a 9 and then JESUS CHRIST the iberico pork (pluma) was a joke....gave it a 9.7 but it could have been a 10. They do a naughty Japanese slipper cocktail which isn't on the menu but they were happy to make it. Straker popped his head in and around which nice and was super friendly inviting us for a photo. Overall a solid 9.5.

From the first contact with the Strakers team in providing an Evaluation and subsequent marketing of our property, they were always proficient, highly professional with excellent communication processes and skills. Our property sold on first viewing :) but the team guided us through the minefield ahead to a successful completion. A few hiccups on the way but nothing that stressed us out.

The property had a number of quirks (not least solar panels owned by a 3rd party on the roof) and the sale required a great deal of thought and persistence in bringing matters to a successful conclusion. Not living in the area we particularly valued Matt's weekly visits to ensure everything at the property was OK and also Eleanor's ability to problem solve and keep the sale on track. The whole team at Strakers in Corsham were incredibly helpful. They efficiently helped us sell our home and purchase another making the process straight forward and as easy as it possibly could be! All the staff were friendly, approachable and patient with all our questions answered and worries minimised! A special thank you to Matt, Cody and Eleanor - although all the staff were amazing. So good we now have them onboard for selling my mother's property too! Can't recommend them enough.

From the moment I engaged Strakers to sell my late Mother's house, they could not have been more repectful, professional and helpful. The staff dealing with the sale sent plenty of emails about progress leaving me in know doubt as to their expertise. The front end of the sale process was good and pretty well-run, leading to a buyer at nearly the asking price. The process after the sale was agreed though was deeply frustrating where we constantly had the sense that Strakers were looking after the buyer’s interests ahead of our own. Updates were vague and imprecise so that we never really knew what was going on. This made it very stressful - much more so than it needed to be.

Very professional, yet warm and friendly, just what you yearn for being long term tenants. If you check the reviews for strakers on any other website you will find them swamped in negative reviews, at least on the letting side. I have been with them for over 10 years, as the house I bought was let to a lovely lady and strakers had originally facilitated this with the previous owner. However today they misplaced my contact details for the Xth time and I've had it, my details have not changed since I signed my first contact with them. Yet they keep contacting the previous owner. I have escalated this issue within the company, they have 4 different methods to contact me directly if they wish and yet they never do. Gods they even sent me my automated monthly statement just fine today, and yet I got an email from the previous owner that he had recieved one with the addendum that I could not be contacted.
We were extremely upset to read the content of your review, but are delighted we have had the opportunity to speak directly with you and quickly resolve matters. I put my rental property with Strakers and I will never use them again, there Area Property Manager was better than useless, when she did the contract I had to change the photo's as she did not do the inventory she found old ones so I had to change the contract, when the tenant moved in her dog chewed the carpet, this was never picked up on the inspections the tenant told me and apologised, when she left Strakers were supposed to do inspection and inventory well dirty walls a hob that had been fitted 18mths ago looked like it was 20yrs old and filthy walls had been wiped down with a dirty cloth only as high as they could reach same as windows and the agent said it was perfect in the report, there was no mention of the dog peeing in the back bedroom as it stinks and I have had to rip up carpet and underlay also replace floor boards to get rid of the smell this has cost me a small fortune, NEVER use them
