Poor after sales…Lovell Scotland

Following an unsurprisingly easy house purchase, we have had issues getting snagging issues completed within an appropriate time. Understandably some issues are not urgent but lack of heating/hot water/water ingress due to lack of DPC are quite urgent. Lovell however seem to have little interest in after sales Customer support. Not the service of a 5 star house builder . This is an issue across the development, not just our experience.

Avoid, avoid, avoid

Though there are some benefits: - house design - layout - spacing between houses/plot sizes compared to some other developers Our experience and some of our neighbours is mainly negative: - shocking customer service management. They book contractors in to come and fix snags with a days notice, which obviously does not work for any households that do not work at home. They also do not give you any time they will be arriving, so expect you to wait in all day. - snags will not be done by one person. They send 4 people to do the job of one, so there is a continuous influx of people in and out of the house - nails pop out through the walls - stairs are not stable - paint surfaces are not properly prepared so wood that has been painted white is yellowing - the gardens do not have drainage so expect a pond every time it rains - gutters not fixed properly and do not have appropriate downpipes - roof tiles missing - wonky sinks in en-suites and bathrooms - wrong house layout - front door opening the wrong way - loft hatch not securely attached so falls out the ceiling - uneven flooring - cement/mortar all over the brickwork These are faults spotted by ourselves and neighbours, so can only imagine what else would have been flagged had we bought a snagging company in. Furthermore, they tried to bribe us to change our answers to the NHBC survey through the offer of various things to be done to the house for free. Completely goes against the anti-bribery policy of the company and completely unethical. I wouldn’t buy a house from them again and would never recommend them to anyone else.

We've had a terrible experience with…

We've had a terrible experience with lovell so far. Been in the house for coming up to 3 years now, they still haven't fixed everything on the snag list and were still finding new issues with the house from the shoddy workmanship. The terrible patches of weeds and the poor parking planing make the place look a mess, and the criminal management company who do none of the work but charge more and threaten with legal action constantly constantly are a disgrace. We were made promises by the very charming sales person, none of which were true or correct and have left us feeling completely stuck and angry. I will NEVER buy a new build again and advise everybody to steer clear of this disgusting company along with Ground Solutions.

Bought a shared ownership appartment 5 years ago, what a bunch of cowboys do not buy anything Lovell have built, tennants still having problem after problemjust been talking to a neighour today who had to pay out thousands of pounds because Lovell didn't put any isulation in the walls.... disgrace! The scooter room as been repaired for damp 4/5 times and water still getting in the foyer and causing mold, now they have decided that no insulation was fitted in that area. You couldn't make it up the faults on this constuction what Lovell have caused through very poor workmanship and employing cowboys to do the work, Please do not go ahead and purchase anything this shower have built you will regret it and have nothing but worries and aggravation getting anything done.

Lovell is only about selling houses, NO QUALITY

Lovell is only about selling houses, they don't care about quality!They delivered our house on the beginning of April, a few weeks after we moved we started to find problems. The most dangerous one was a tile that was broken in the bathroom. It took them almost a month to sort it (but they shouldn't have delivered the house with it).After that we only had problems with the bathroom. They damaged the vynil, and we are still waiting for this to be redone for the 3rd time!And last night we found a leaking coming from the bathroom to our living room!! Let's see how long it will take for them to fix it and the house will be until this happens.I send emails and I am registering everything. The material they used in the house is the worst! The painting in the wall comes off very easy.The professionals that they send to do the repairs are not good ones, and they are always on a rush.We still have many other issues with the house, but they are ignoring us. For example, our guttering is leaking since we moved, and they keep saying they fixed. I don't see it. Also, they treated us very nicely until the day they delivered the house, after that, the treatment changed, they are very sarcastic and rude. I definitely don't recommend them! If I could, I would sell the house and run!
