Incompetent to the highest order

Where to start with Lovell? Had issues from day one with this company. Firstly, spent 3 hours picking optional extras and upgrades for them to call us when we leave to say we’ve lost the paper work come and do it again!Please pay for an independent snag to be carried out whatever you do! We had over 115 snags on the property. Moved in over a year ago and still have outstanding snags. Bought an integrated washing machine through Lovell for over £1000 which is unusable and nobody will take responsibility in replacing or repairing it.Washing machine engineers adamant our foundations are not right.Lovell never bothered to even define our boundary as per our plans. We have a huge open space in our front garden with no defined border so people are constantly cycling/walking across. Lovell agreed to put a hedge in and are apparently still trying to find a landscaper to do this over a year later when the rest of the estate has been done in the meantime.Had huge leaks in the bathroom gushing out of the porch which wasn’t considered an emergency for customer care. They laid the road in minus temperatures and it’s crumbling, still not fixed.Like I said, we had over 115 snags the stories are countless the list is endless. As soon as they get you to reserve good luck the rest of the experience is abysmal. Rude unhelpful staff that will avoid your calls or say anything to get you to leave them alone.

£5k floor repair in 2.5 years due to poor workmanship

A company that builds cheap houses without the technical understanding to fit these cheap materials. We have had numerous problems with the site. However, be warned your floors will be fitted incorrectly. On the Lough site, all homes have been fitted with a sub floor that is not properly treated, we are now spending £5k refitting the whole downstairs LVT due to poor workmanship. As we are just out of the 2 year warranty they are wiping their hands clean of it. Sorry for not realizing that I had to rip up the LVT and check the sub floor of the property in those two years. If you live on the Louth site or are thinking of buying on the new phase, don't. In a couple of years, your floors will start to lift and you will be paying for them. Looking at the same sub floors exposed in the current builds on the new phase, they match the condition of ours. The company is unwilling to put its hands up and admit a bad job. In short, don't buy their cheaply made houses by inexperienced workers.

Great service and product.

New house purchased July 2019. Lovell site Glassford, South Lanarkshire.Excellent service from start to finish. Rosann is fantastic, nothing too much trouble. House is well built. Only a handful of snagging issues which have been attended to without question. Everyone has gone above and beyond to ensure we have been well looked after even a year on.

Nice flat, very poorly build

I bought a flat from Lovell in 2019. Since then it's been a catalogue of errors where they cut corners, did things wrong or badly, and generally slacked off. The flat hasn't fallen down and it's a nice flat but the balcony doors shatter randomly, the radiators were installed backwards, the lift doesn't work very often, the heating network was installed wrong, the fire doors have already failed their test, the secure bike store can be opened with a screwdriver (which burglars do about once every other month). The list of errors goes on. Luckily Lovell are really easy to get hold of and always rectify the issues they left behind... (this last bit is a total lie. They've removed themselves so far away from the development that contacting them is impossible)

There is a problem with privacy in the gardens of some properties and unfortunately Lovell are not interested once you have paid for the house . So beware and check carefully , don't buy a house that has open ground behind or to the side , you could end up with a huge problem as I have

Avoid Lovell, total cowboys

Why are people still buying from these lying fools when there are so many bad reviews? I've witnessed my daughters frustration with them for 2 years and now I see their actions affect her health, I'm speaking out. They are all promises and sweetness and light till they have your money then they couldn't give half a damn. Latest example in a long line of feck ups at their below standard house is the front door. Every home needs a well fitted front door that keeps the weather out right? Not if it's a Lovell house apparently. Joiner comes out, deems the door not fit for purpose, a couple of hours later a message arrives. Our joiner finds your door fit for purpose. So the joiner is a liar or these charlatans are. I know who I believe. They simply don't know how to provide decent after sales care. This industry needs more robust regulation. Till it comes please consider another builder. Unless you have many front door problems you're dealing with today you'll know the address so get it sorted. I'll repeat this on every site I find until there is proper resolution. Life is hard enough for everyone at the moment, stop adding to the stress Lovell.

Great customer service!

Lovell Homes site managers and staff on phase 1 of Priors Hall Corby, Northants have been great since moving in. Bought a house through Riverside homes with Lovell being the builders, on handover a snag list was done and reported to the site. They have made every effort to make sure the snags have been rectified as quickly as possible and that I’m happy with the result. Very approachable and helpful site/managers. Still have a few snags but they are working hard to get them all fixed! Thanks Lovell!

Delay in repairs

Hyacinth and Craig at Lovell have been very supportive. In a way where they have made my moving in joyous. Unfortunately after moving in i have had sone issues with a leak from a radiator which Lovell plumbers have failed to fix even after so much emails and phone calls. Also the bathroom radiator had all of a sudden fallen off the wall. Appreciate they came out and made it safe however lovell refused to replace the radiator and blamed me for it. Iv been left with 3 cold radiators in in this very cold weather. After a great start, i am disappointed with lovell customer service and repair team.
