GoogleWe had a fantastic experience with Home Truths from start to finish while purchasing our first home. From the initial viewings, the team were professional, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable about each property.
When we finally found the right home, we were bidding against another buyer which was understandably a nerve wracking time. Throughout, Home Truths kept us consistently updated and fully informed, which gave us real peace of mind.
As the process moved forward, we were given a completion date set by a developer higher up the chain. Anna was exceptional, guiding us through every stage, communicating clearly, and always being available to answer questions. Her expertise and calm approach made what could have been a stressful situation feel manageable.
Even on completion day, when the sellers accidentally provided the wrong key and posted the remaining ones through the door, the team acted immediately and arranged a locksmith without hesitation.

GoogleWe chose Home Truths to sell after remembering when viewing houses that Home Truths stood out, the agents knew everything about the property when being shown round and the leaflet was excellent a real reminder of what property you viewed. This was a real must for us as we had little things in our property that we believed would help with our sale and having an agent that knew about the property and could ensure this was told to buyers! Hence it was an easy choice to make and John was very honest with the valuations and open. We got over asking and the sale was smooth. The app is excellent and I could keep updated on what viewings were taking place and offers made. Ellie went above and beyond in her communication and we were updated every step of the way even chasing buyers solictors when our solictor had a response. If you want fantastic communication, agents that actually know information about tyour property when people view then Home Truths is the estate agents for you. GoogleWarning: Avoid! I urge anyone considering Home Truths to proceed with extreme caution. At a minimum, you’d expect honesty, professionalism, and clear communication during a property transaction. Unfortunately, none of these were evident in our experience.
We were overlooked for viewings and not contacted when the property unexpectedly came back on the market. It was only by chance, a friend spotted it online, that we realised it had been relisted.
Despite submitting a formal offer on two separate occasions (both verbally and in writing), it was not passed to the seller until several days later. This unacceptable delay compromised our position and, quite possibly, the seller’s opportunity to secure a better deal.
The communication throughout was poor, and we were left chasing answers while being in a strong buying position. It’s deeply frustrating to think the seller may never have been made aware that a faster, and potentially higher, offer was on the table.

It is unusual for me to take to social media, and when I do so, it is usually to be supportive and positive about a company, individual or experience as I am aware just how damaging spurious and unjustified negative reviews can be.
Estate Agents are real people with partners, children and obligations to meet who work in an industry which is highly charged with emotion especially when people do not get what they want. Whilst none of us are perfect, the vast majority of agents do their very best to look after their clients and ensure that all potential purchasers are represented equally. In this case, after much trawling through email chains and voice logs, we have confirmed privately, which I believe is the right way to deal with matters, that we strongly refute the statements being made against us.
It should be noted that we also have to follow our vendors instructions in terms of accepting offers, cancelling viewings etc which we know can lead to disappointment. Please see a statement from the vendors of this particular property:
“We are aware that there is a complaint against Home Truths Estate Agents from an unsuccessful purchaser of our property. We can confirm that Home Truths presented offers to us both verbally and in writing, confirming the position and the monetary value of each party offering as and when these offers came in, including potential offers.
When it came to making our decision as to which offer we wanted to proceed with, we were in full possession of all the factors we needed and considered these in detail. In the case of the successful bidder we wanted to go with them because they wanted our house as a long term home for their young and growing family, and they came straight in with an offer that was acceptable to us.
Whilst we were aware that there was a cash offer, we considered the fact that their first offer was significantly below the asking price and that their increased offer was subject to a survey. We were concerned that they would try to negotiate us down as a result of this to a figure closer to their initial offer and on that basis we rejected their offer.
We are happy with the decision we have made and hope that this clarifies our position for all concerned.”
To receive such reviews is personally upsetting for the whole team, and any individuals involved more directly, who work tirelessly each day to represent sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants to the very best of their ability and with integrity and professionalism.
