Jade Simpson at Reeds Rains in Consett is first rate. My partner and I view many properties as we are investors. Unlike some agents when showing potential buyers around, she is less interested in the hard sell and more concentrated on tuning in to the individual, listening to what the potential buyer is looking for and giving an informed opinion on the property in order for us to make the right decision. It was clear she had done her homework on each property we viewed and had extensive background information. What is more, she is very well informed, shares her knowledge and gives an opinion you can trust. From start to finish, Reeds Rains Consett have been fab. From Ross hosting our viewing, initial chats with Lyndsay and the, frankly, stellar service by Jane in getting us all signed up and across the line, I can't thank the team enough. As a carer for an autistic adult, my time is particularly precious to me especially as we've relocated 250 miles from our previous home. Jane went to great lengths to make sure we were informed all the way along and even made herself available to hand the keys over out of hours. Highly recommended.

My smoothest purchase yet was through this branch , Ross and Abby are amazing at what they do , they are so attentive and on the ball and no question is too much , when they say they will do things they do them and they actively do their upmost to get the sale pushed through which is paramount when finding a good estate agency branch as it works in everyone’s favour to get the purchase done with as little hiccups as possible. Whether selling or buying these guys are the ones to go to . Also a big shout out to branch manger Glenn for getting stuck in when needed to help get the sale over the line . Everyone at Reeds Rains Consett made a stressful experience so much better, from putting our house up for sale to moving out was 10 week which is amazing and would not have happened without them. Poor customer service, charged me for an issue when I’d already said that I had resolved it myself, then they told Valuer they had the keys for the property and didn’t and don’t know where they are, I got charged an abortion fee and they won’t pay despite being there fault. Won’t be using them again.

I have used Reeds Rains Consett for over 20 years to purchase/sell/finding tenants etc and always been very happy so they were my logical choice when selling my recent property. They are not the cheapest, but due to my previous-positive experiences, I was prepared to pay the premium. It’s been several years since I last used their services in which time the staff have changed. They are very nice people to deal with but sadly my experience this time was less than satisfactory. No communication whatsoever unless prompted by me. I was fed fabricated stories to buy time, they provided completion dates which were nothing more than made up to buy more time, and they even had the audacity to blame my solicitor for causing delays until I pointed them to documentary evidence stating otherwise. Overall, disappointing experience, so unfortunately, I won’t be back. This is not a personal attack on the individuals, but they clearly lack experience which is a shame. No doubt they will deny what I have said as it’s a natural response to be defensive, but I have all the emails & phone records to back up my experience. Communication is key in any business, but sadly in this case it was not only poor, but almost non-existent unless prompted by me. We finally got there in the end, but it was a painful experience… Regardless, I wish the branch all the best in the future…
