We recently completed my mother's house purchase through Gordon & Rumsby which we were able to do in quite a short time-frame. Julie, Abby and Paul were always on hand and really helped smooth out any issues that arose to help expedite the process. Their friendly, efficient and professional approach worked well for us as buyers (I would imagine also for the sellers), liasing between the two parties from initial negotiations through all the steps to completion. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Gordon and Rumsby were the sellers' agent on a house we recently purchased in Dorset. Julie and Abby were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We were first time buyers from outside of the area and they were very patient with us, especially explaining things that were brand new to us, and keeping me calm on several occasions! They were very fair-minded about any issues we had to deal with and really helped get to completion in a comparatively short amount of time. Great experience from start to finish! Initially viewed our property with Belinda who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Colyton area. Negotiations were undertaken with Paul who gave us much of his time in order to secure an offer and therefore the lovely bungalow we purchased. Much of the sales process was dealt with by Debbie who, out of all the agents & solicitors involved with our sale & purchase, was without doubt the most proactive keeping us fully up to date with any news and also went the extra mile to uncover why contracts weren't exchanged as expected (which was due to our buyer's buyer) - a stressful time that was quickly put to bed and completion took place as scheduled thanks to Debbie's efforts. Special arrangements were also made for the collection of keys on the day of completion of which Gordon & Rumsby were most obliging. Overall, a fantastic experience from a very organised team and, although we don't envisage moving from Colyton anytime soon, would certainly not hesitate in using this Estate Agent and can therefore highly recommend - many thanks to everyone!!! It was easy to choose Gordon& Rumsby out of the three valuations that I had as Julie was the only local estate agent to send a property description on how she would market the house. I had just under 4,000 hits on rightmove within 60 days of listing the house which was very impressive and I beat similar listings every week which confirmed that I had chose the right estate agent and that the price of the House was correct. I can only echo other positive comments about Debbie who progresses a property sale, she is absolutely amazing at her job. The service I received from Gordon and Rumsey has been outstanding from start to finish. I was moving to Devon from Hertfordshire and the cottage I was buying was listed with Gordon and Rumsby.
