I experienced extremely disappointing service from Richard and his team during our recent purchase, and the contrast with our current agent has been stark. On more than one occasion, Richard stated that he “works for the seller, not the buyer.” While I fully understand who instructs and pays the agent, such comments came across as dismissive and unprofessional. A competent agent should manage the transaction professionally for all parties and ensure the process is handled with care through to completion. We ultimately withdrew after discovering the property was of non-standard construction, something that was not disclosed to us. This oversight cost me nearly £500 in fees, not to mention wasted time and significant inconvenience. It is concerning that an agent marketing a property was unaware of such a fundamental detail. Once our offer was accepted, communication deteriorated noticeably. Calls were not returned, emails went unanswered, and when I raised this, the explanation given was that they were short staffed and someone else had been asked to respond on his behalf. This demonstrated a clear lack of ownership, accountability and professionalism. Overall, the experience fell well below the standard I would expect.

Fine & Co have been a pleasure to work with during what became a lengthy and torturous process. If it hadn’t been for the fabulous Rachele Winn the chain would have collapsed several times over. Rachele, alone, relentlessly kept in touch with all parties, chivvying and chasing up loose ends, liaising with incompetent online conveyancers and ensuring that all sales were completed. I have been dealing with eh colchester branch of fine and country. The service they have been providing really has been above and beyond what I have experienced with other estate agents in the past. Very informative and helpful, I was stuck with an estate agents for 7 months with early any viewings. I switched to fine and country, within the first 2 weeks they had surpassed the amount of viewings by the previous agents over their 7 months. by the end of the first month I had an offer in and accepted. but it didn't stop there, they have been tireless in helping get the sale through as quickly as possible, no chasing up on them, nothing. so bloody refreshing to have an estate agents that actually want to GET THE JOB DONE. Well done team!

Having used Fine and Country estate agents to assist me in selling my house I must say how professional, helpful and friendly I found them. Excellent marketing and honest valuation produced a sale very quickly. That I withdrew from the sale , entirely my decision, was met with understanding and respect. I would particularly like to mention Richard Seeley and Rachelle Winn who undoubtedly were brilliant ,and would have no hesitation in recommending them and Fine and Country.

An excellent service from start to completion

Fine and Country have just sold our house in Wales. We found their service excellent. Gareth conducted the viewings and always informed us that he was there ready for the clients viewing. He also gave us feedback directly after the viewing. He was always professional, positive and polite. Fine and Country Wales also used a company ASAP who followed through with buyers and both parties solicitors. This kept us informed daily at the progress of the sale. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the team at Fine & Country Colchester; from my first contact, they were responsive and diligent in their work and kept in regular contact with me. Charlie McCarthy dealt with my sale and made the whole process as stress free as it could be. Fine and Country were incredible when we purchased a property through their Colchester office. They were always available to talk, responsive on emails and telephone, knew the current state of the process we were at, were knowledgeable on local services and overall a pleasure to deal with at every stage. Charlie also did all he could to make the process smoother, he even said he would do what he could to help personally when we were let down by our removal company (luckily he didn't need to help lift boxes :) On completion day he met us at the property to save us having to drive to the office and greeted us with a smile and a bottle of bubbly with a card signed by the whole office. Tristan was superb throughout the sale of our Suffolk property. Even our purchasers were complementary about his work and demeanour. We have bought and sold aprox 5 times in the past 20 Yrs and he is the best Estate Agent we have ever had dealings with. Basically, all the service level promises he made when pitching for the agency he delivered on eg feedback from every viewing, only sending credible viewers not time wasters, and he assisted the speed of a 10 week from viewing to completion turn-around of a complicated sale which might not have completed otherwise. If you don’t use him you’ll be sorry.
