GoogleWe've used several agents over the last 10 years but none have come anywhere close to the standards of service and professionalism shown by the team at JW. The difference is that Lisa 'owned' our sale, she took responsibility, and had honest and pragmatic discussions with us about the way forward. She drove it forward with determination but always with a smile and a positive attitude. We cannot recommend her or the JW team highly enough.

Google***Buyers beware of this estate agent*** We were in the process of purchasing a property being marketed by Joy Walker Estate Agents. The sale was agreed with the vendor, our solicitors fees and valuation survey were paid for, searches were paid for. Weeks into the buying process and completely out of the blue, Joy, the owner of this cowboy outfit, rang me and said that another potential buyer had come in and offered 20k more than me and would I like to match it? I explained that I was up to my limit financially and couldn't afford to go any higher and also added that the sale had been agreed, monies paid and the solicitors of both sides had been working on the case for weeks. Joy explained in a very condescending manner that nothing is finalised, or set in concrete with property purchases, until the day that contracts are exchanged. So there you have it, we lost the property to someone else, weeks into the buying process, because this estate agent continued to market the property behind our backs, weeks after my offer had been accepted. We lost £850 in fees spent, my wife was distraught and spent the weekend in tears and we were left desperately trying to find another house, as the tenancy on our rental property was nearly up.. Unscrupulous! Unprofessional! She doesn't give a damn! All that Mrs Joy Walker cares about, is bringing in the commission. Riding roughshod over people in order to bring the money in, is all that matters to this woman. I mistakenly thought that the Wild West of estate agency and the dodgy practice of gazumping was something we all left behind in the 1980's, but unfortunately, someone forgot to tell Joy; or more likely she just doesn't care? All you potential buyers out there - Is it really worth the risk of dealing with fleabags like this?

The team at Joy Walker were amazing. They were incredibly helpful, and made what could have been a very stressful experience, selling my mum's house from a distance, easy and straightforward. Had a video walk through for one of their properties by Lisa whom was absolutely brilliant with her walk through even though the wi fi was a bit patchy, she remind patient and had the knowledge to answer all of my questions honestly! GoogleThere is no doubt that selling one’s home is a stressful business, but the team from Joy Walker’s were, at all times, professional, positive and supportive. From the initial meeting with Rebecca who talked us through the process and took the excellent pictures of our home (such that we could hardly recognise it!), we felt that we were in good hands. Within 24 hours, the pictures of our home were on the internet (Joy Walker’s own website and Rightmove) and, from then on, Monique came into her own, keeping us informed about interest and organising viewings from prospective buyers. After finding a buyer we were regularly updated with the progress of the sale as Joy and her team liaised on our behalf with buyer and solicitors making sure that the sale was on track. Throughout the process we felt that we had made the correct choice of Estate Agent and have no hesitation in giving them our wholehearted recommendation.

They worked so hard to get to completion, it almost felt like they were representing us. They constantly responded, constantly kept us in the loop and went above and beyond to help the whole chain.
