They do a bare minimum so we ended up without a flat

I would give 0 stars if i could. We dealt with Stratford agency. Let me explain the situation. We found a flat to buy and unfortunately, the agency that published it was Bairstow eves.The first bad sign was that we waited for a man who should've shown us a property for 15 minutes (his name is Vasco Correia, just so you know the heroes by names) and after 3 calls to their call centre we were told to try to call the apartment number as he's already there. We've called a few times - failed. We managed to enter the building and get to the flat after a while. When Vasco opened the door we complained about the situation and that we'd been waiting for 20+ minutes to which he replied "so what? are you going to see the flat or not?". We were pissed with the attitude and the situation but had a look on a flat. We liked the flat so much and decided to make an offer (hadn't trusted our guts, unfortunately).The process took 6 months, each time we had to call them ourselves because otherwise, we didn't receive any updates from them and the seller. Our sales progression was Ellie Lynch (well, I would call her sales REgression). Every time she and her colleagues told us that they were doing their best but if it was true we wouldn't ended up being homeless. We've been telling her that our tenancy contract will end at the end of October since August and she didn't tell us that we should prolong it as the seller is looking for a new home herself and won't move out until she buys it. So we trusted them and ended up without a flat with all our stuff.I hate the day we've decided to proceed with this agency and the flat they listed. Hope everyone who's uncertain to work or not to work with Bairstow eves will choose not to work but to save their mental health and their money.

Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

I have recently let my property through Bairstow Eves Clacton. Sarah and Louis were very helpful, responsive and professional throughout and found a great tenant within two weeks. Everything proceeded smoothly from that point and therefore as I chose the full management service I have high hopes that everything will continue to be hassle-free throughout the duration of the tenancy. The team, including Louis, Kara and Jackie have worked really hard to conclude the tenancy on a property and to get new tenants in with a very short vacancy period. There was an unfortunate situation with the previous tenants who split up, and the team worked hard to liaise between the two at the end of the tenancy. I do not underestimate the time, tact and patience this took. Louis found several suitable tenants and ensured that referencing was done quickly so that the new tenancy could start as soon as possible after the old tenancy ended. To all landlords leave them as soon as you can. These people don't listen to landlords. They done investigate. They only work to pass on cost to landlord. They dont care if the property is damaged or not been looked after. They even done care if tenant is in breach of tenancy agreement.

We asked Bearstow Eves to manage the Rental of our flat as soon as we finish renovating it. Well I ended up ill in Hospital and my husband was at breaking trying to balance visiting me, working and trying to finish the flat on time for our new tenants! Jade was our trusty point of contact, and when she took a day off for training, Amy swooped in to save the day. And let's not forget Joe, who kept us in the loop when Jade and Amy were off gallivanting.
