As a buyer, I feel like Knight Frank made the experience more stressful than it had to be. They put me under unreasonable pressure to rush me into signing, including making some pretty spurious and unnecessary criticisms of me and my solicitor. It felt like Knight Frank exacerbated rather than mediated the pressure coming from the seller.
As an agent we are always liaising between the buyer and the seller, trying to smooth the process and ensure a positive outcome for all parties. Our teams always do their best to be considerate of our customers’ needs, whilst at the same time striving to get the transaction to a successful completion. As in the case here, there can be extenuating circumstances which mean the sellers assert deadlines on us. In some instances, as much as we try and take the brunt of such pressures, we do need to make clear when the transaction is at risk of failing. I hope that you can appreciate that this process is not always easy and I’m sorry that your experience felt as stressful as it did. If I could give a 0 here I would.I contacted Birmingham office and spoke to a Mr Charles Shephard.He came out to have a look and said he would email back a valuation the next day.One week later he said he would send it immediately and still no email.After 10 days I called him and he gave me the valuation over the phone and said he would not need to send the email.How unprofessional is that. Sadly he has not responded to emails or phone calls and voicemails left over a week now.Beware.
