The owner

The owner, M. Milliner, put my house on the market in March 2022. Was very unprofessional and did not take any of my concerns seriously. I had to demand that another member of her team take over with viewings etc. Victoria was polite and kept me updated at every step. unfortunately, she left the company before it was sold. I was told she could not work in the environment that was created by M. Milliner. I researched deeper and found that at least 7 other employees had left in the previous 12 months, one only lasted 4 weeks.

We were so pleased we chose Cirencester Sales and Lettings to manage our property when we decided to rent out our house. Michelle and the CSL Team are very professional and super-efficient in all their dealings with both Landlords and Tenants. As a Landlord, I feel very reassured that my property is in such safe hands, especially knowing that any Tenant is going to have a really positive experience. As soon as Jenna viewed our property to give a valuation, we felt immediately at ease and impressed with Jenna's knowledge of the market and warm and friendly manner. After having two previous valuations that day, it was without a doubt that we wanted Cirencester Sales and Lettings to take on our property. Our house was sold within a month during challenging market conditions and Jenna continued to work hard in the background, coordinating the sale and kept us up to date with every step of the process. Everyone at the office was just as helpful too and if Jenna was out of the office, Jenna's colleagues were still able to help as they also knew what stage the property sale was at. What an amazing team at CSL

What an amazing team at CSL, and Michelle is a fabulously professional with a big heart, I’ve had dealings with her for many years and she always “finds time”often not being paid for it, she’s given me lots of advise over the years that I was renting my house out and she was the first person I called on when I was ready to sell, and she didn’t disappoint, it took her just 45 minutes to get me an offer which was accepted. Some of the reviews here are from people going to view houses or putting their houses up for sale. From a tenant’s perspective, please read an honest review below: Cirencester Sales and Lettings will manage properties on behalf of a landlord, they’ll sometimes email you if your rent is late, although this sometimes gets confusing when you have paid your rent and they’ve for some reason decided to contact you anyway. They also will ask for a deposit of a month’s rent, this isn’t uncommon, although don’t expect to get much of this back as they’ll claim they need to hire in professional cleaners, painters, etc despite having inspected the property and it being “fine” the week prior. But alas the incompetence stretches further. I woke up one morning to find two men in the house that had been given a key by them! They hadn’t even told me cleaners were coming over. Of course when asked about this they denied it, so we’re either left with a situation where the tenant was charged £50 for cleaning that never happened, or they gave some strangers a key to the house without telling anyone about it. One is fraud, the other is breach of contract. The second housemate was led to believe if he replaced himself with a new tenant, he wouldn’t be charged an early release fee, makes sense right? No costs are incurred because someone else did all the hard work for you? But alas, he was charged £420. I spoke to the landlord recently about this who had no idea, and when he asked CS+L they apparently said the tenant was only charged rent. Fortunately the tenant has all of this on email and can prove it, but as I’m aware he’s just been ignored. Again, if the landlord is unaware of this, where did that £420 go!? Another tenant was late in paying his rent because he had to leave the country to attend his mother’s funeral. They gave him a bad reference for his next property and was forced to take out three months rent in advance to make up for it. These are just a handful of examples, I’m sure I can ask the former housemates for their testimonials too, so look out for them in other comments. I once cracked my head open and spent several hours in theatre with 10 stitches, that was a more pleasant experience than dealing with this agent over the past couple of years.

As we crawled out of lockdown sometime in June, Michelle and her team set to work refurbishing an old house on the northern side of the town. She oversaw every aspect of the project with detailed precision and liaised with us on every aspect. She has now furnished us with a full set of photographs and has tenants moving in next week. There was less than two weeks from the first meeting to them closing the sale for us. In that time the CSL team managed to take all the photos, create a floor plan, video tour, perform an EPC check, get the listing up on Rightmove/Zoopla and setup 10 viewings in less than 8 days! Dear Michelle, I have today exchanged contracts on my first house through yourselves. I wanted to send you an message, to highlight just how fabulous your team have been during the whole long and at times stressful process! Throughout the whole purchase Matt has been amazing. I couldn’t praise him enough or fault him in any at way at all as he has continually gone above and beyond what was required of him to keep me happy! He has been incredible putting up with my constant phone calls, texts and random lunchtime drop ins to the office to pester him - I’m amazed he didn’t block my number or run away! Anything I wasn’t sure on, needed sorting or had questions about he was straight on it without me needing to remind him at all, he just got it done and sorted! Even when I texted him late at night or over the weekends he replied straight away and got onto it the next day, nothing was too much trouble for him. It was nice to be dealing with someone who always had a smile on his face no matter what drama I threw at him. I knew my purchase was in safe hands the whole time! Advices for landlords: try to find another letting agency because for a business point of view they make loose money. were do I start this lot are the worst people I have ever let with there team act all nice to get you in then try to make it hard for you by taking 6 weeks to fix hot water after just walking into my flat 3 times without telling me there coming about some smoking issue I don't smoke. so at first I was bit confused about this but after leaving the flat due to the poor upkeep this lot then made up lie after lie to keep my deposit .thay have even tried to bill me for my own blinds . so I have done some digging on you lot and after a chat to someone that used to work for this scamming bunch I was told there told to get then in and out as fast as you can. make up lies to get them out so we can charge more fees to the next victim of there scam. Get them in for 6 months charge them loads on fees fix nothing on time to try and get people to leave if not they just take up lies and you will be asked to leave so if I was you rent with someone else even my new landlord for another county had herd of this scamming lot very nice to your face but don't be fooled there a bunch of rats that lie with ease and rob people and do as little as they can to make your stay nice and easy .
