GoogleHard to get through so usually have to opt for a call back and then they say they'll refer the job to liberty or whoever else, and it doesn't get done and if it does get done, it's not done properly. Ive been trying for years to get my kitchen cupboard door fixed (I've had to do it myself many times and I need a full new unit and ive had many fellas round probably like 7 over the past couple years and each time they say they'll order the parts and never come back so I call up and they submit it as a new job then another fella comes says he'll get the parts then never comes back and it's a cycle.
This time, ive been trying to get someone round to fix something with my boiler since yesterday night (so just about 24 hours now) I've rang and they said it's emergency as I have disabled child and no heating in winter, tell me someone will come within a few hours so I stay up and no one turns up and then next day I tell two Muir workers and one liberty worker that i'm out all morning for an important thing, so I won't be home between certain hours then I get a message to say engineer on route while I'm out! So I call back twice today and was told someone will be out between 7pm and 11 pm so I stayed up bearing in mind I'm a full time parent carer who gets about two hours sleep a night and I'm exhausted!!! So I ring liberty and they've only just got the referral (4 hours later after Ryan in Muir said it would be filed immediately and they'll be here in next four hours) then I ring Muir again absolutely sobbing because I've been staying up late both nights waiting after being told certain times! I'm worn out and disgusted. You ALWAYS mess me and others round and avoid doing your bloody job!

GoogleIf you need a repair of a storage heater for your parent during the winter months dont rely on any decent help from most of the muir engineers that visited, i eventually last resort asked one in the car park if he could help, Robbie Williams was his name and he bent over backwards to help me, and fixed it that day, i wish i could get hold of him and thank him, what an absolute legend! He said he would fix it and he bloomin did! Thanks Robbie! I hope this review gets back to you!

GoogleIf I could give less I would. After almost 12 years in my property and very few call outs, my front door stopped locking and wouldn’t open or shut properly. Called up at 2:30pm and was told it was an emergency job and they would be out straight away, call back at 4:30pm to be told a couple of hours but definitely that night, roll on 8:30pm I’m then told 24hours and then I call this morning after not sleeping because I can’t secure the door to sleep while I have a child in the house, I have to call back because they can’t tell me anything until the main office opens 🤷🏻♀️ will be opening a complaint for sure

GoogleAn absolute joke! I will be taking them to the housing ombudsman, they have had multiple chances to put issues right with me and nothing changes. Not fit for purpose, all they worry about is taking your money and the rent is extortionate for a shabby housing association. Any jobs you need doing they will try to bodge, if they bother to turn up at all!!

GoogleHad the electrican from Muir on Thursday this week. Was here for four hours, good job done with no mess. The electrican was great and polite. A full five stars for the work by this electrican.

GoogleTakes very long time for any repairs to be done, communication is ok with Muir but whoever they get to do the repairs never seem to know what they’re doing and are uncontactable.

GoogleI applied for a property in Madeley I Didn’t want to give my details before viewing the property in case the property weren’t suitable.
I contacted housing association, when they finally came back to me. They told me they don’t usually respond to peoples enquiries. If potential tenants have questions to ask who suppose to answer them and why give them the email address if they have any questions that needs answering if you’re not going to respond?
Especially if you have an housing officer who works, in the area on reduced hours and never responds and always away from her desk. Which no one wants to pick up her work load which is bad for business.
I was then ask to provided several different documents, such as bank statements, bills, picture of myself and child were my national insurance number as well as my child.
I was then ask to fill out the expenditure form- which is what the bank statements confirm. ( usually if a company ask you for bank statements they don’t ask you to fill out expenditure form. This is something that’s suppose to be done by them)
Two character references. Also do to a credit check on myself and attach the report to email. I had less than a week to get the documents in prior to bank holiday in September.
I was made to believe soon as she received the documents, she would process my application. After this, I heard nothing. four weeks went past I contacted this company to find out what was going on with my application.
I was told from customer service they don’t get involved in lettings workload and something she will have to deal with on her return.
Shortly after, I was notified that she on annual leave for two weeks Which she failed to mention, which is found this to be very poor service.
As I hadn’t heard anything I took it I, weren’t successful for the property. End of September I received an email, apologising about her being on annual leave and another member of staff should of picked up her work load 🙄
Since then I have tried to contact this lettings officer which she’s never available and always out of the office and phone always go straight to voicemail. Which I have left messages on her phone and a text message. I have be constantly emailing her and cc’ing customer service into the emails. Unfortunately no response. I have made a formal complaint and have received no acknowledgment. Which I find very rude and unprofessional.
This how this company treat new tenants?
I have been told the property is mine. But this company is making it possible for me to sign the tenancy agreement I also want to know what happens with all my information, I have provided as that a lot of information your company has ask me for. Contact the lettings officer only to receive another email stating she’s out of the office until next week.
Would be nice if someone responded to my formal complaint.
This how I’m being treated, now I hate to think what it’s going to be like when I actually become a tenant.
Also left messages on customer service answering machine no one has returned my calls. what’s the point telling tenant's or potential tenants to contact customer services, if you have any queries or need help. If you’re not going to respond to them? what are customer service actually there for?
Since then, I have tried contacting the staff who suppose to be dealing with my complaint. I’ve called her and emailed her in several occasions still no response. Member staff ask what my availability was like over the next three days so she could contact me, as apparently she has being trying to contact me and seem to be missing me🤨 also has be a blocked kitchen sink water keeps coming back up the sink and several outstanding repairs which Muir doesn’t seem to be interested in. Apparently I’m not entitled to compensation for blocked sink as I didn’t make them aware of it🙄okay ..which I will be notifying citizens advice and shelter. Very disappointed as this is not the service I had hoped for, especially being a new tenant.

GoogleMuir Housing employ very poor workers /contractors most don't care as long as its done but its usually very bad workmanship. If a job worth doing then it should be done properly regardless , speaking from Burnley probably the same in other towns and cities

GoogleIf I could give zero stars I rang Muir on the 29 October, requesting an emergency plumber,as the upstairs toilet had developed a leak which was now coming through the dining room ceiling.I was informed that there was no emergency appointment and the nearest date would be 1st November so I booked the day off work and no one showed up so I called Muir and was informed that they use 2 system to make the appointment, my appointment along with other hadn't gone to the plumber tablet. So another date was made for 10 November and again no one showed up so again I called Muir to be informed that its emergency line and someone would call me back. Glad I didn't hold my breath. Can't wait to hear what lies they are going to come up with this time.

GoogleUseless. Had a kitchen flood 8 years ago, still waiting for the base units to be replaced as they are rotten. Heavy problems with mould in the bathroom, both bedrooms and kitchen, (the caretaker says it's condensation - didn't know condensation was BLACK). Whenever I speak to them about it they act like it's the first time I've mentioned these things. Never get a call back within the stated 48 hour limit. Treatment like this is why I'm trying to move out.

GoogleBeen in a Muir property for over 7 years now. We have only had one issue over this time which was mostly the result of an external contractor for fencing which was resolved. Muir have online reporting for repairs which is really helpful.
