GoogleMy father and mother recently have rented through Ashton and Grosvenor, having moved to Chester from South Wales. We have all been so impressed with their professional, friendly, and patient approach - from my parents' initial search for a property, the administration, liaising with the landlord, through to them moving in. In addition, the whole team have been responsive, dealing with initial queries and attending to a couple of issues in the property efficiently and quickly. We had a real sense that they were putting them as tenants first, and the care and customer service has continued. We cannot recommend them highly enough! Firstly we have just searched our database which dates back to 2013 when we first got our software system, there has never been a tenant by the name of John Abraham or any other tenant with that surname which leaves me to conclude this was left by a troll. Secondly at the start of the tenancy there will be an inventory and schedule of condition set out, you can find a sample of our website. Without this a landlord/agent could not simply take your deposit for damages since the deposit is lodged with the DPS, at the end of the tenancy if the landlord/agent proposes any deductions the following evidence has to be submitted to the DPS: Check in report/Inventory & Schedule of condition, check out report showing the damage, proof the check in report was sent to the tenant, proof check out instructions were sent to tenant, invoices/quotes for remedial work to damage and finally the tenancy agreement. In addition the DPS have a fair wear and tear policy which also has to be adhered to making it impossible for any agent or landlord to be awarded damage for no reason.
