GoogleI had been searching for a two-bedroom apartment in Chester city centre for nearly two months, and it was quite a challenging process. Thankfully, Thomas from Ashton& Grosvenor made the entire experience much easier.
He was extremely supportive and took the time to clearly explain every step of the process. Because of his guidance, I was able to move forward confidently with each stage of the application.
From the referencing process to the agreement signing and the key handover, Thomas was always available and helpful. Even after receiving the keys, he continued to offer support whenever needed.

Undervalued my property, and completely disregarded my friend with their rental in Chester.
This company has been a nightmare from the start. Extremely unhelpful- Diana & Iain in particular. Vile attitude, extreme lack of help and certainly not professional. Ignorance doesn’t begin to cover and is rather tame if I say so myself.
AVOID this company for sales/rentals like you would the plague!!!!!

We are shocked to read this review; we cannot find any record of your interaction with our business. We have gone through the past 12 months of valuations and cannot find any landlords or vendors with the name Joanne or even Joanna, other than two who are existing and happy customers. We take all reviews seriously and are committed to providing excellent service.

GoogleExtremely disappointed with this company. Booked in for a viewing today at 1pm, my Girlfriend had it confirmed via e-mail that Diana would meet is but she didn't turn up. A gentlemen who was also there to view it phoned the company to ask if anyone was coming to show us around but we had not been booked in on their system, even though he had a text message confirming his appointment. There was also a third gentleman there to view it. Quite remarkable that all 3 of us were not booked on their system and extremely unprofessional.NegativeProfessionalism

Hi Alex, I am so upset and frustrated to read this and can only offer my sincere apologies, I am currently investigating what has happened, it appears any appointments on this block viewing from 12.30pm onwards yesterday had vanished from our system, I was at the property from 10.30am and had taken a print of from the diary early that morning, according to that my last one was 12.30pm so after I hosted that viewing I locked up and left, obviously had the other viewings been on my print out/diary, it would have been no bother for me to hang on another half hour which is was is so frustrating, at this stage I do not know whether this was down to a tech glitch or human error, but please accept my sincere apologies and if you would like to call to discuss further then please don't hesitate to get in touch. Please be assured this was a mistake and we will do all we can to ensure it does not happen again.

GoogleBeen at the property for a number of years now and not only have they increased my rent but after going back and fourth back and fourth trying to get someone to help me because the mold damage is so bad nobody is willing to help me. Ashton & Grosvenor basically turned round and said this is not our problem speak to the landlord. Which btw I already have. I have a dad dying in hospital of Terminal Cancer which I have tried to explain to the Landlord and Ashton & Grosvenor and none of them seem to give a single care in the world about it this is too much for me to deal with right now it would be nice if someone showed me some empathy but I guess not. Absolutely disgusted I can barely breath at night because of the mold damage which makes me wake up in the middle of the night coughing. Those pictures uploaded do not do it justice the windows are constantly dripping as well when I wake up. What am I supposed to do open the window at night ? one I am by a main road its noisy and secondly its freezing none of them have provided a solution for me but they quickly put my rent up though didn't they without any weeks notice or anything. 0/10 offered no help no solution nothing charged me for the bill and accused me of threatening them which was not true I simply said id have to take this further if nobody was willing to help me and they blew up with me accusing me of threatening them. If you look at the other 1 star reviews they also had issues with this agency because there are about 6/7 ( 1 star ) reviews in total so this is a common thing by the looks of it Guys just a heads up.

Dear Ryan,
Your landlord used us for a tenant find service only back in Jan 2021 which is when you moved into the property, you have paid and dealt with the landlord direct as he manages the property himself, you have had no dealing with A&G since, until a couple of days before you decided to leave this unfair review. You landlord has not increased the rent since you moved into the property. The landlord like many has had significant increases in his overheads which he explained in a letter attached with the notice of increase, he paid Ashton and Grosvenor to conduct a rent review and to provide the correct form and notice for the increase, therefore we issued with you a section 13 giving you two months’ notice before the increase would be effective, even with the increase the property is still significantly below market value. The bottom line is we operate a business, a landlord has paid us to provide him with a section 13 and a rental valuation, we have provided that service as it’s our job to do so and since you received the notice you have sent a string of abusive emails and threats to leave bad reviews, we cannot do anything more on this matter. Please continue to discuss any maintenance issues with your landlord direct as you have done since the start of the tenancy. We cannot comment on the mould as we don’t manage the property but if you are saying you are not ventilating the flat then this could be the cause. Please continue to discuss maintenance issue direct with your landlord.

Hi Lesley, I think know what property you are referring to and I am happy to discuss this in person if you would like to call me at any point. Said property was listed with another agent for 6 months prior, before we were instructed. The vendor wanted a fresh approach after it had been marketed at a higher price and since reduced quite substantially . As you have pointed out Rightmove DOES NOT allow properties to be reduced to show as a new listing. The £50 difference was to ensure we were different from previous listing as we believe this was now market value. I think you one star review is unfair and appreciate it if you could remove it. A false review, as you can read the person claims they never had a viewing with us but then has apparently also moved into a house with us and out of a house. Sadly we often get emails asking us to pay in cyrpto currency to remove a bad review.
