I am incredibly disappointed

I am incredibly disappointed. The agency passes me a flat in awful condition, full of dust and cobwebs around the windows. Moreover, the paint is going out of the walls, leaving the dark wholes/spots, and it doesn't look very pleasant. The previous tenants left pudding or whatever it was under and around the fridge. I had lost my nails trying to scrape this stinking dust. I have to mention that the top of the fridge was also covered of 5 mm of dust with fat from a cooker, which made it even harder to clean. It took me three days to clean the flat to prepare it to bring my staff. I feel cheated and disrespected. I had texted the agency, and no one even tried to text me back. When I came to the agency, I didn't even hear an apology, but I was told that my expectations/standards are too high and the flat is in a suitable condition. Do I really have too high expectations, guys, or is it just the agency's too low standards?I just regret that I didn't start making the photos and videos at the beginning when it was much worst.

Only use places that give you what you want

rather than try and give limited help, help with what the person actually needs help with in regards to property choice.

Unprofessional

We contacted Hunters Agency to view a house in my local area. The agency was really slack with replying to E-Mails, which shows a red flag from the get-go. After filling in a questionnaire, we asked questions about the property which he didn't know the answers to. Another red flag. So I thought, well, we will view the property anyway and see how that goes. I said that we were only available in the afternoons. He didn't reply. So I emailed again asking if this was okay. It wasn't until the next day he replied with "Apologies for the delay in response, unfortunately the email didn’t send and was in my outbox." So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and was polite about it. He offered 10:15 in the morning, so my partner had to arrange time off work to do it as it didn't seem they would even negotiate a time that would suit us anyway. Another red flag. So we agreed. He then said you will receive a confirmation text with the time and address etc. Now, it's the day of the viewing with only a an hour left until the viewing and we still haven't received the confirmation text of the address or anything. From this awful display of customer service, we shall not be going. The proffesionalism is slack to say the very least.

This is the worst agent ever

This is the worst agent ever. All agents are known for their commitment and trustworthiness, but they lack honesty. Instead of truthfully stating the facts about the property, they always wrap things up or try to deceive the client. I had a very bad experience with this agent.

High praise indeed for both Richard and Natasha. Super helpful, polite and friendly. Natasha was often more aware what was going on with the sale than my own solicitors! I would recommend 100% and would defiantly use Hunters should I sell. Paula

Very bad service as they refused viewing access even when I am ready to buy but for them I was not "in good position" due to myself working extensive hours and have said my parents will view on my behalf. Completely bizarre service from an …

Dear Sonam, This is a very disappointing review considering the lengths we went to try and assist you. It is particularly disingenuous because you are an estate agent yourself. Our vendors, an elderly couple, refused your viewing after you … More

Highly professional service. Mark has been very patient with us first-time buyers, sharing his wealth of expertise and adapting his service to our relative (in)experience. Hands down, the best estate agents we have come across in the Rochester/Chatham area.

Very disappointed with this company

Very disappointed with this company! Put an offer in for a house and it took them over 2 weeks to even get back to me and that was me ringing them. After waiting and waiting to see if my offer had been accepted i rang them once again and and they said unfortunately it hadnt been accepted but when where they going to let me know! Will not be going through them again to buy a house. Absolutely disgusting and no courtesy to their customers what so ever!

Hunters Ilkley - just don't

Do not let through these people. They basically treat you like a second class citizen, coming to do in person check ups once every 6 month. So invasive. The property we rented turned out to be in poor condition, really cold and drafty with many things not working properly. We were supplied with no keys for the windows or patio doors and it was so annoying to have to be in constant contact with them about what was going on. Check out process was awful, problems that were fixed throughout the tenancy were tallied up and then we were told things would be deducted from our deposit. They want us to pay to make things in good and working order when they were not in that state when we moved in. Just rent from someone else - only way to deal with these kind of people is to not do business with them, they won't change or respect you once you're on their leash.

I moved in to one of hunters…

I moved in to one of hunters properties, October last year, it seemed fine, apart from bits and bats, I recently moved out and asked for my deposit back and they came up with all sorts of problems I had left, the problems were already there when I moved in, any one renting a property off them must go through the place with a fine tooth comb and make a note of everything in front of the agent so you are not charged for it at a later date, I lost nearly all my deposit, I got £18 back, totally robbed, will never use them again, they don't care about the tenants, stay away

All talk no action

They contacted me as they said my current estate agent was not promoting my house to its best potential.I was promised a quality service with excellent communication but as it turned out they are worse than my current estate agent .I would avoid hunters as they are clearly having serious issues across the company.

Wast time

Wast time. After I saw the house and paid a deposit because we want to take it, they started not answering the phones or saying they were busy. They promised to contact us the next day but nothing. After several messages and contacts they told me that the house we want is not their agency-Thinq Agency. Those who read this review, please do not use the services of the Thinq Agency.Thinq Agency and Hunters are two related agencies who don't care about customers.

Definitely one to avoid for buying and selling

This agent was absolutely hopeless. I was trying to buy a property they were selling...but their communication was appalling and they made me feel like a nuisance. They didnt respond to emails and on the rare occasions their phones were answered they didn't return calls. In the end I resorted to going in person to their office where I would have to wait ages and was often then met with a blank look and confusion. They seemed to want to do very little for their commission and several times tried to pass parts of their job on to my solicitors. From my point of view, as a buyer, they were inefficient, slow and seemed to have a poor understanding of the process of selling a house.....I think they did a really poor job for the vendors too.Perhaps they are brilliant at lettings?Certainly not one to buy or sell property through!

Highly recommend

Highly recommend - Steph Peart-ThomasIt has been almost a year to purchase a property, so frustrating! However, we are so lucky to have Steph as our account manager. She kept chasing seller solicitor and my solicitor, without her I would withdraw the purchase long time ago. She also shared me with my concerns. Truly helped. Highly recommend.

Hunters letting agent

Hunters were the letting agent for a property that I rent out. My experience with them has been terrible and I have now moved to a different agent. There have been far too many problems to detail here but, if you are looking for a professional and competent letting agent, I would try somewhere else. When I complained about the problems encountered at branch level to the Head Office I was astounded that they were equally dismissive about such big failings, which shows it is an problem across the organization.

Be careful

Be careful, they are1 Rude2 Hardly ever answer calls 3 Rarely check requests on zoopla and Rightmove4 They care less about youThat was exact feedback I got from one of my friends who was looking so much in market and she finally got a house. I told her I found this property in Cookridge through hunters that I’m planning to view, she was like good luck if they ever answered you or even bothered, I didn’t believe her but she was right in every word. I left two requests through Rightmove on day of advert but no reply, called them ten times over two days no answer and left them voice message with all details, they answered after three days when I did more requests through Rightmove at last, the lady was like I have received offers no more viewings I could take your name, I tried to explain myself it’s unfair I did this and that everything you said calls voice notes online booking , she was like sorry bye, she must be joking… when you think you hit rock bottom in worst customer service, no there’s more and hunters is a live example. I wish some good people in hunters read this so they could do something about it so their work wouldn’t be undermined by their rude unprofessional colleague.

Hunters Grimsby

Hunters Grimsby Allowed us to live in a rat infested property with a baby, two older children and a baby on the way. The landlady hid behind the agent and denied knowing about the issues even though the neighbours stated environmental health were involved. The drains didn’t work properly, parts of the house we couldn’t use yet we still had to pay a premium to live in the property. The lady that dealt with us handing our notice in was very rude and demanded money for repairs that were there when we moved in. Luckily for us we had proof or the poor state the property was in.

Absolutely Pathetic Service

Pathetic, 0 ProfessionalismI wanted to rent a 2 bed flat, just after the viewing I confirmed that I will be putting the holding deposit and asked for the account details. I was informed over a text message that they will be sending the details to everyone who viewed the property on next working day. I called back at 9:00 am Monday and I was told that I will be getting the mail with account details and I should go ahead with deposit. I did the same, later to know that property is already blocked as someone did the deposit earlier than me as they received the mail on Saturday itself.Upon asking why the mail was not sent to me on Saturday like other even after confirming and why you did'nt inform about the same in our morning conversation. I was told it's of no use to go round and round, we will not give you any answers. Clearly she didn't have any answer and was not ready to accept that she preferred someone over me because of some X,Y,Z reason. If that's the professionalism of a manager, then the average review rating certainly confirms the quality you expect from this organisation.

Use Hunters.com at your Peril

We engaged Hunters without searching on Trustpilot - what a Big mistake.Since engagement it has been a car crash. The franchise owner is ever so condescending, he says that they are professional - they cannot spell as we have 14 versions of the property particulars - they do not update you on viewings, even when you call them they never return a call. I wish I could exit the contract but the time they returned a call quickly was when we asked to exit the contract and then they wanted their 50% fee paying. They cannot even get the GDPR statement completed properly

Dishonest and unprofessional

Dishonest and unprofessional estate agents, did not honour their written commitments to us. Routinely rude, very unpleasant to deal with. They treat customers like pests, and do not try to hide it. I do not understand how they stay in business.

WORST Agent

Worst experience I recently migrated to UK and wanted to locate a house in the city centre. senior agent showed me a house just opposite to the bus station and I accepted the offer but he didn’t revert to me even after 5 to 7 days. I gave them calls messages and called the agency customer care numbers many times but they didn’t have the courtesy to call me back and respond. I had to waste my one week in a hotel also not looking for some other property since they stopped showing other properties. Senior agents have a very bad attitude and they are not holding a responsibility towards the customers very bad agent please don’t opt for these agents if you’re looking for a house in a hassle free way

We interviewed a number of agencies and the Hunter's agent shone through as a true professional. His knowledge of the local market proved to be spot on and the brochure they produced showed our house at its absolute best. They helped us through every step of the process, investing fully into getting our house sold, with great communication skills, really listening to us and giving sound advice. They sold our house at the best price and were worth every penny.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Impeccable services for 7 years now

These guys have managed a portfolio of flats for me for almost 7 years now, they are fantastic agents, I can’t find a bad word to say about their services, they are always on the end of the phone and constantly in touch with the market in terms of rent reviews etc, I can’t recommend these guys enough
