Our Customer Journey: Over the years, we have used several estate agents to buy and sell both our rental properties and our current home. Last year, we were recommended Fowler and Powell by someone who works within the estate agency industry. Our previous experiences with high‑street estate agents had all been very similar: they photographed the property, listed it on Rightmove, arranged viewings, and often sent different staff members each time, meaning we had to repeat the same information over and over again. Once a sale or purchase was agreed, we found ourselves constantly chasing for updates. Fowler and Powell were a complete game changer. The difference in service compared with other high‑street agents was like night and day. Our first meeting was with Levi. He did not pressure us into signing with them. He carried out a thorough walk‑through of our property and provided a realistic valuation, rather than the inflated valuations we had experienced with other agents, which later led to price reductions. Our next meeting was with Nicky, who was assigned to our property. After we signed the contract with her, she took the time to explain the full sales process clearly. She helped prepare our home for photographs and set up a WhatsApp group that included us and the Fowler and Powell team, ensuring everyone stayed informed and on the same page. Nicky handled every viewing personally, and we never had to repeat any details. She took all the pressure off us, and we are extremely grateful. Thank you, Nicky. Once our sale was agreed, we were introduced to Amelia, who acted as the link between us and our buyers. She kept us updated on every single detail and chased solicitors whenever needed. In fact, for the property we are purchasing, we’ve had to chase that estate agent ourselves, highlighting just how exceptional Amelia has been. Thank you, Amelia, for your dedication and proactive communication. We highly recommend Fowler and Powell and will only use them going forward.

I chose Fowler and Powell after a recommendation from my golf teacher! And I’m so glad I took his advice. I was assigned Caitlyn to help rent out my property in Leeds and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She secured a tenant after just 1 viewing, which exceeded all of wildest expectations. Any query I had - she usually either answered straight away, or within a few hours (also thanks to Kara!!). This really gave me the peace of mind everything was going smoothly and I was updated every step of the way. Caitlyn also took on additional requests such as plumbing work, EPC certificates and safety certificates to ensure I didn’t have to project manage all of those in addition to a full time job, moving responsibilities and other personal commitments. This took a weight off my shoulders and was all sorted within a week. Hand on heart - I could not have asked for more, and I have worked with 3 other estate agents in Leeds and none have come close to the service Caitlyn has provided to me. Being able to get an answer to maybe even the simplest of queries within a day has been exceptional , especially knowing I am one of multiple accounts she is juggling on a daily basis. EDIT: Owner has responded to this review with a bunch of lies, we reported the issue with the roof in June, when there was no "Winter weather". If you are looking for a property and see these guys, avoid at all cost, they are cheap/lazy/incompetent, they have actively put our health at risk by refusing to address clear issues in our house, they seem to be ignoring all issues in the house. Also, when we moved in, the house was absolutely disgusting and they refuse to accept any responsibility for it. Have included photos of issues they ignored.

We can’t recommend Fowler & Powell enough! They were the perfect estate agents at every stage of the process. Levi, Jenny and Amelia went above and beyond to help us sell our house and find our new home. Our house, that had every evidence of a toddler living in it, was show room ready and on the market within days thanks to their commitment to helping us. When we lost what felt like the perfect property, we were crushed. They were incredibly compassionate and did everything they could to find us somewhere even better. Even going as far as speaking to other state agents to squeeze us into viewings. With Fowler & Powell, they really go the extra mile to get to know their clients. You are not just a line on a spreadsheet, or an email on a mailing list. A few short months later, with their help we have moved into our dream home for our growing family. I would put 0 stars if Google allowed. We were good, serious home buyers and treated very poorly by Fowler & Powell. After offer was accepted the sale was given to the sales progressor to handle, whilst she was friendly, she was clearly massively out of her depth dealing with a very assertive vendor. The senior team should have taken ownership having already told us that this vendor was a handful, and not allowed such immoral behaviour which left us out of pocket. We successfully completed on our house purchase through another local agent and the difference in our experience is quite remarkable. Fowler & Powell on website state we do things different, if it’s bad news we will tell you. In our experience they lived up to the old school negativity of estate agents and were far from different, far from open and when our purchase collapsed and knowing we were out of pocket, no one reached out to us at all. Yes agents act for the vendor, however level of respect and decency must be shown to all interested parties. As good buyers, we were appalled at the lack of support and empathy to us.

In today's world where service just doesn't seem to count for anything with any company, Fowler & Powell completely smash the standards in excellent customer service and care. I can't rate them highly enough. I was recommended Fowler & Powell by a good friend for the sale of my house. From the very first meeting I knew other agents I'd engaged with just didn't measure up - not even close. Fowler & Powell aren't the cheapest but I feel worth every penny and first impressions meant I didn't mind paying that bit extra for their services and I was not disappointed. The photographs, brochure and listing really stood out from the crowd and drew in multiple viewings quickly. I had a very unique home to sell that had 150 years of history and Levi took great care in getting to know me and the house. It was important the house went to somebody who would make it their home and care for all it's historical features. Viewings and sales conversations remained consistently with Levi throughout with fantastic support from the rest of the team. They really got to know me, what I wanted from a buyer but also what I didn't want. My first buyer pulled out which wasn't without impact and the whole team were very supportive. Communications were excellent, I didn't have to chase anything, I knew exactly where we were up to at any given point. Once a sale was agreed the lead switched to Amelia who was equally excellent. The whole team are!. Amelia aligned myself and the buyer, and whilst I didn't speak directly with the buyer I had every confidence that both parties knew what was needed to make for a smooth sale. Each time I stepped in the office they greeted me by name, it always felt very personal and caring, always time for a cup of tea. My house purchase (through a different agent) was extremely problematic and the whole team were more than happy to help me navigate through, even though they had no vested interest other than to look out for me. If I could give them 10 stars I would. An outstanding experience. I'm not one to take the time out to write reviews but this was a must. Watch and learn other agents! This is how it's done brilliantly.

Great service, cannot recommend highly enough. Fowler and Powell are in a different league to any other estate agent I have dealt with as a buyer or seller. They ‘staged’ our house beautifully, proactively marketed it and took the time to understand its selling points and make it stand out. We were very uncertain about how to price it in a slow market and Julien was really patient in discussing this with us at length. They arranged two full days of viewings and secured us 8 offers, eventually selling for over asking price. The ongoing work they put into moving the sale along was also excellent - nothing was too much trouble for them. I would never use another estate agent again now!

Fantastic Service!!! I’ve just let my property with Fowler Powell. Julien took the property to market for me, arranged some fabulous photography and a brochure for me to approve. Within a week we have over 15 viewings, 12 applications and 2 wonderful tenants. Julien is transparent, a pleasure to deal with and really gets to know you And your property. Their fees are very Reasonable and great value for the service you receive. Julien could not have done more to help me, this process has been stress free, informative and straight forward. I look forward to working with Julien on my future rental properties. Might I add this is the same property, I bought from them a property a little over 1 year ago, where again my customer journey was fantastic! Fowler and Powell review. My wife and I first met Julien back in May 2022 when we first recognised we were in need of more space due to our expanding family plans. We were impressed by Julien’s unique approach to the selling/buying process, namely the sense of support and understanding for our needs. At no point did we feel pressurised to act quickly and we were allowed the time to consider such a big decision before finally acting on it. In January 2023 after the arrival of our child we came to the decision it was time for the next chapter. Like anyone in the selling/buying process we did our research and contacted a selection of the big name estate agents the north Leeds area. Before acting on any final decisions we re-contacted Julien. After our first meeting he’d left a lasting impression of personable professionalism and calming confidence. His expertise in the housing market was obvious. What was distinctly clear compared to the other companies we’d approached, was we felt as through we could trust the Fowler and Powell Process and more significantly, that we could trust Julien and the team. That gut judgement was reflective of the seamless process we’d experienced with Fowler and Powell. Julien and Levi clearly set high standards, which were consistent. They recognise that “one size does not fit all”, which differentiated Fowler and Powell from the others we’d considered. Any worries or concerns were attended to promptly and collaboratively. Their attention to personal service was palpable and we felt connected throughout, communication and accessibility to their team being the bond that made for a harmonious journey. We cannot recommend Fowler and Powell enough. Their core values transcends into the business and this is clear to see, characterised by the fact the team are all just lovely, genuine, hardworking people. Their service was authentic. It was less contractual and was more so a relationship, with key emphasis on communication and service, which we believe is lacking in the modern day fast paced working environment. I bought my first home through Fowler and Powell in 2021. Julian and Levi had brilliant customer service and made my buying process as easy as they could. They send birthday cards to both me and my wife on our birthdays since we moved in which is such a nice gesture. I also called fowler and Powell to get a valuation done and Levi came out. He was really honest with his opinion and even told me not to think about selling just yet although the valuation he had in mind was a higher price compared to what I originally though, which just shows these guys have brilliant customer service and actually care for their clients! I chose Fowler & Powell because Julien Powell is one of the best and most honest estate agents in the business, by far the best estate agent I’ve ever dealt with. When other estate agents said the market was tough to sell in, Julien backed himself to get a good offer and I sold for over the asking price. He knows property but more importantly, he knows people and he is a step above the rest. He has a brilliant team behind him as well.
