Even though the sale of my property isn't complete yet, I felt it important to write this review. Peter and Yvonne Scott are simply outstanding. From the minute I met Peter he gave me total confidence and very sound advice on the local market and the sale of my property. I had all of the usual suspects around to value and potentially market my property but none of them came close to Peter and Yvonne. Most of the agents I invited to view my property were parasites and I could almost see the £ signs in their eyes as it's very much a sellers market at the moment. Peter was the exact opposite and his advice was all about me, not his profit. From that point the experience just got better and better. They gave me sound advice, total confidence and, within 3 weeks of my property hitting the market, a sale for an extremely attractive price. We engaged the services of Peter Scott Estate Agents at the start of 2020 to sell our home, little did we know at that time the effect the global pandemic was about to have, but despite this Peter and Yvonne remained professional and ensured they had regular communication with us, continually reviewing ways to ensure our home was marketed to continue raising interest and viewings from potential buyers. I had initially gone to one of the bigger firms, but after they failed to turn up for a meeting and didn’t return 4 phone calls, I decided to use Peter. I am so glad I did. The knowledge that Peter and Yvonne have is superb, and they couldn’t have been more helpful every single step of the way, from helping with getting local repair firms in, assisting with survey findings and chasing up solicitors. At last. An estate agent who cares. Although we were the buyers, not the vendors, Peter and Yvonne always went the extra mile. I never expected emails sent in the evening or on a Sunday to be answered that day, but they were. Also, and in my experience unusually, when one of them said they would check and come back they did, and without the need to remind them. I know I queried a lot with them but not once did I get a reply that made me feel I was overstepping.

In January 2018 we asked Peter to find us a buyer for our house in Chalfont St Peter before the end of 2018. We discussed and agreed a sales strategy based on his advice and placed the house on the market in March. By May, after some negotiation, we had a sale agreed with the buyer and completed smoothly in July. Those are the cold facts. However, they do not adequately convey how utterly professional Peter and his team were throughout the whole process, which is always challenging no matter what your circumstances are. He was available, supportive, and always responsive, speaking clearly and plainly with good advice throughout. Looking back now two months later, we can say without hesitation how pleased we are with the sale and that we recommend him to anybody. As a famous tv character would say (pending the purchase of our next house in 2019) the money is “just resting in our account” and it’s a good feeling.
