GoogleAfter reading the reviews, I was expecting a brilliant letting agency but was let down the moment I spoke to Hugh.
I enquired about renting a property with my partner and one of our friends but Hugh advised no landlord would allow this to happen. After trying to ask why, I was angrily told there was government legislation in place that did not allow a couple and their friend to rent a house together. He then abruptly ended the phone call.
I'm glad we didn't start renting through this agency, I couldn't imagine dealing with such an ugly person for the entirety of the contract.

I am sorry that you feel this way and I didn't mean to come across in this manner. The point I was trying to make is that the landlord for the property in question does not accept sharers and with changes to the HMO legislation as detailed in the following link;
https://www.scambs.gov.uk/content/houses-multiple-occupation-hmos
it states that 3 or more unrelated parties would be deemed as needing to meet the HMO conditions therefore probably making it difficult to find a house to rent. We wish you luck in finding what you want and sorry that we cannot help you. Best regards, Hugh

GoogleI went to view a property yesterday. It was an uncomfortable experience. I didn’t get the opportunity to ask any questions, which, isn’t such a problem, however, Hugh made comments regarding the previous tenant having a bed in the living room. Not only that, i felt uncomfortable with the way me and my friend was looked at, and i felt that i was being judged, mainly for my appearance of having tattoos & the fact i was young. I mentioned i was on DSS and didn’t exactly receive a great facial expression. (DSS was explained on the phone prior to viewing, and was told it was OK for this property.) I found it also incredibly rude how I was told to email a colleague, of which i did not get told the email, therefore emailing the person i met with asking, and being ignored. Not only this, ALL my calls were ignored throughout the day, ( i was interested in the property regardless of my experience, as just like any of us applying, we are looking for a home. so i did call multiple times, probably more than i should’ve bothered with) and when i called on my mothers phone (instant answer) told them who i was, instantly hung up on. I have emailed asking to speak with management, to write a formal complaint but i will probably be ignored for this too. Would not recommend. Thought id add, i understand that people are busy, especially estate agents, ( i just received an email saying they were busy) but my experience with Hugh in particular was uncomfortable.

I spent 3 years at a property managed by HC Property Letting Ltd, requests that I made were always handled promptly, they were always mindful to help me avoid spending unnecessarily, they did a good interfacing with the landlord to have costs on improvements handled, and they were very helpful with the move out to help me getting the house in shape and ready, where cleaning and painting were handled by the agency for a fair cost.

These emails were replied to on 9th July (11.40am) and then the latter email on the 11th July (2.35pm), perhaps these replies have ended up in your junk filter.

GoogleH.C property lettings handle everything for us with our rental property and they couldn't make it easier!
We were a but nervous about renting it out but they let really fast and at an excellent price.
We always recieve our invoices and payment on time and we are really happy with our tenants.
Anytime we have a question or query lauren and hugh are just on the other end of the phone immediately day or night.
We also used them to rent a house when ours was flooded and uninhabitable and again they couldn't have made things easier for us at such a rubbish time.
