GoogleIrvings did an excellent job and kept me informed right throughout the sale. Although they did recommend I use Huntton and Gargett solicitors which I couldn’t recommend. Trying to get Hewitts to do any work was like trying to push an elephant up the stairs, if I wasn’t in contact with the buyer and able to inform each other when our solicitors required things then this sale still wouldn’t have gone through. To top this off they never ever , ever answered 1 single phone call whenever I rang them.
Fortunately for my purchase I used a different Solicitor and the difference was night and day.

This agent is extremely disappointing. I never received any updates when my house was on the market unless I chased them. Once I got an offer, I never received any progression updates unless I asked/chased.
When i dropped the keys off ready for completion the girl just sat on her phone texting and barely glanced up then I didn't even get a call or an email from them upon completion which is outrageous.
Worst estate agent I have ever come across, I'd have lost my job if I had performed the way they have.

In reply to what can only be described as a very strong and awful description of our business being one to "avoid at all costs", I would like to respond as follows:
You chose my Company to sell your property as you found, in your own words: "Our appraisal and set up to be more professional than the other Agents you got valuations from"
We listed your property on the 28th July 2023, it went under offer on the 29th of September 2023, and it completed on the 17th of January 2024, with the Christmas break in between.
In my experience, in spite of your disappointment in the lack of communication, this timescale is a fair reflection of a sale from instruction to completion.
We have had no feedback as to your dissatisfaction of our service since you listed your property in July 2023, had we, we would have done our upmost to manage your expectations.
I have checked our records, and there are 64 emails that were sent between us & yourself, in addition to telephone calls. Also communications in addition to this, as you would expect to your Buyer, their Solicitor & your Solicitor, to keep your sale on track, involving emails and telephone calls.
The member of staff who dealt with your sale has been with us for thirteen years and was also your dedicated contact, dealing solely with your sale.
When you dropped in your keys to our Catterick Office, you were greeted politely and attentively by a Lady who has been with us for four years and is very professional and a great communicator.
She took the keys from you and thanked you for the same. She then said Goodbye when you left after coming out of your Solicitors.
As you can imagine, both members of staff are mortified by your feedback, as it is so far from their professionalism and also our Company standards.
In fairness you are very entitled to your feedback and as they say one side of a story is good until another is told.
Thankfully, both members of staff are very valued members of my team, will continue to be so and we will take some comfort from the daily, positive and constructive feedback we get from our clients throughout the year and have have had the pleasure to receive over the past twenty years of being in business.
If you would have been sacked for the level of service in your current job, that I know we provide and have provided, then maybe you should question what industry you work in.

GoogleEnquired about a property at Tunstall Road, Catterick Village via a third party website, heard nothing back about making an appointment to view the property. Emailed irvings at Catterick directly, asked to make an appointment about veiwing the property, they asked what my situation was. I said I have a house to sell. They never asked what my financial situation was. No one got back to me, so I chased them. They advised their client would only sell to proceedable buyers only. They have made judgments about my situation and got it wrong. They didn’t have the decency to email me back and advise they were discriminating against people with a house to sell. I had to chase them. What Irvings need to do is stop putting a misleading sales advert on, perhaps that would stop any confusion or wasting people’s time. Your advert is 100% misleading. You need to clearly state in your advert that the property is only available to proceedable/cash buyers. The advert states the seller is chain free not that they don’t want to deal with people with properties to sell. Your client has lost a sale and I certainly wont be using Irvings in the future. This review is my true opinion based on the service & communication I received.

Thanks for your feedback, it is disappointing that you felt our service warrants a 1 star review, especially when the contents of your review is incorrect.
Our Client has asked for proceedable viewers only, given the chance, you did not state that you are a cash buyer you said that you have a property to sell, this means that you are not in a proceedable position.
Our advert is not misleading, we would not advertise that the property is available to cash buyers only, as this is not the case, if you have a property to sell it would need to be under offer.
We await a reply to our email to you, in which you could’ve easily clarified your position before leaving a damaging review.
