I would highly recommend David Burr in Castle Hedingham. Tim, Richard and Gemma were such a helpful and friendly team, I honestly couldn’t fault them. They were always easy to get hold of, consistently polite, and went out of their way to keep things moving by regularly chasing the rest of the chain for updates. That made a huge difference and took a lot of the stress off us. From start to finish, the whole process was smooth and positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable local estate agent.

How many of you can say that you contacted an estate agent on a Tuesday and by the following Tuesday you received confirmation that your property has provisionally sold? I can. David Burr visited my house discussed details and value, measured up, took photos, produced a brochure, identified and contacted prospective buyers for a viewing which proved successful; all within a week. This was due to the professionalism of the team at Castle Hedingham who I found knowledgeable, personable and helpful. We were very happy with Richard and the team in the sale of our mother’s house. After a few early communication challenges, they were very helpful with checking on the house when it was unoccupied, enabling access to the house by workmen when needed, and respectful of coordinating our stays with visits from prospective buyers. The timings of completion were negotiated to everyone’s satisfaction and they coordinated efficiently with our solicitor. It is a beautiful but somewhat anachronistic property and not the easiest sell, so it took persistence to find a buyer.

I’ll start by saying, I hope I never have to move again (if I can help it!)… but if I ever did, I wouldn’t even consider using anyone other than David Burr. From start to finish, the whole team was simply fantastic. Every single person in that office went above and beyond, always just a phone call away to answer our questions and calm our nerves, and trust me, there were many times we felt like pulling out of the sale! But their constant support and professionalism made all the difference. They chased every last detail, followed up on everything, and even dealt with some incredibly difficult and unhelpful people in the process!! A special shoutout to Timothy, who honestly became a bit of a lifeline for us.
