GoogleWorst ever estate agents I’ve come across! Never answer their calls also they don’t get back to enquiries.

GoogleAbsolutely amazing communication from start to finish of the sale of my Mom’s house. The team understood that this was an emotional time and were understanding throughout. Nyree and the Castle Bromwich team were always on the other end of the phone for me. The house went up for sale in Jan 24 and we had sold for the original asking price by May 24. Completed within 4 months!! Highly recommend!!

GoogleI don't even think Green's estate agents at Castle Bromwich even deserve 1 star, but I cannot give zero. We where buying a property through this branch for 7 months, up until the end of January 2023, that was when our mortgage offer, which we had extended, ran out. The property we wished to buy still had not gone through by then, so we could not continue. No one at the branch showed any concern, the only time we even heard from the branch manager was an email after 7 months, stating a failed sale. They just did the bare minimum, then when we complained to the director, Mr Watkeys I received a very blunt reply, and he blamed everyone else, the sellers solicitor, the leasehold management company , but ofcourse, not the estate agents who where selling the flat. We lost our great mortgage rate, 2.5%, and still had to pay all our fees, all for nothing. So my advice is, don't use this estate agent to buy or sell, as if they had been truthful with the actual property management fees, which where double than what we where told we would not have even considered buying the property. And the fact that cannot be disputed by Greens, is that we only found out the real leasehold fees after 7 months of being in the buying process... on our final day of the mortgage offer running out, and our solicitor had no time to complete the necessary checks as there was no time left. In my opinion, this flat shouldn't have been put on the market until all the necessary paperwork was in place, and how on earth did it take 7 months for this to happen is a disgrace, and a waste of months of our time, and money. And to end the sale/fiasco, the flat went straight back on the market, and it was SSTC within 24 hours.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We did all that we could to enable your partner to purchase the property in question. From the outset we conducted our due diligence with the sellers of the property and used the information that was provided to us by the executers of the estate. You were aware that the sellers’ solicitors were unable to obtain the lease information quickly due to delays by the management company that manages the lease. When this information was eventually received it did highlight that the service charges were going to be increased for a two-year period to cover some extraordinary expenses but would then revert back after this period of time. We are very sorry that your partner decided to withdraw from the purchase of the flat and we understand why he reached this decision due to his mortgage offer expiring before contracts could be completed by the conveyancers.

I chased it up again and agian, they told me they were waiting for the keys and would call me soon as they had it...but never called. I have looked at the file in relation to the property in question and can confirm that the property was sold, subject to contract, by another estate agent. This property was being sold by a builder that had taken the property in on a part exchange basis. Initially we were unable to gain access to the property. The builder instructed two estate agents to sell the property and the original vendor delivered the keys to the other agent. This agent sold the property (subject to contract) and we have been unable to gain access to the property although we have been instructed to keep the file open until the sale has exchanged contracts. We should have come back to you to inform you of this and I can only apologise that we did not keep you up to date.

GoogleVery friendly and on the ball when they want your business. Initially had to make 3-4 phone calls to have all the mistakes (12 photos that were repetitive, incorrect descriptions on at least 3 of the rooms, incorrect floor plan for downstairs) on the websites rectified to give accurate description of property. When I called to advise that we would not be using their recommended solicitors due to cost, the agent we'd been dealing with never bothered with us again and we had to make phone calls to them for updates. Only found out we had a viewing during a chase up call! However, during any contact with the staff, they were all very pleasant and courteous. As I stated in an email to them, they were very on the ball when it came to sending their invoice!! No response.....
