STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!

I’ve been dealing with this agency for the past 5 years, and once again they’ve proven the worst agency/agents ever. I deal with their branch in Surrey Quays, London, and their service is amongst the worst I’ve ever had in any kind of customer service, plus their incompetence is beyond belief. We’ve had the name of the lead tenant changed from the DPS for someone who doesn't even live here. DPS tells us the agency requested the name, (which the agency rudely denied) and then we find out that only 1 of the current tenants has the name in the DPS although the deposit has obviously been payed by the 3 of us. On top of that, after showing our obvious concern with the situation, we’re told by the agency not to worry, because “it should be fine”. Disgraceful!!!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

The worst Agency ever

The worst Agency ever. They looking every way to win your deposit. Please do never work with them. I was renting a small studio flat. When i first entered the flat the bath was a bit cracked. I never reported cause i thought they know about that. By the time this cracked became worst and worst. When i left property i did changed the bath with my own costs , i cleaned the property with professional cleaning service. Above that they said me that they put other people to clean it again cause it was not cleaned enough, and this cost was 240 pounds, finally i paid for that as well. Before all of these they said me i need to send keys via post to their agency. I did send it to them. After i payed the bath and the cleaning services, they said me that they need to keep some deposit because the keys has not arrived to their office and i didnt send the proof of postage which they never said me that it need to be posted with recorded post or to send them proof of postage. They are Scams do never work with them guys, they don't care how you feel or anything they just want to steal money from you.

Hazel was a great help getting my father’s property on the market, her photos of the cottage are marvellous. All we need now is someone who wants to buy it!

Unfortunately once again America…

Unfortunately once again America succumbs to its usual 2-dimensional plots and characters with yet another load of revenge programming loaded with a heavy dose of violence. Predictably, the line is clearly defined between good and evil. Each episode we can look forward to inventive ways in which a healthy cross section of races kill evil Nazis, executing them with catchy one-liners and witty monologues. Most of this garbage rests on a good Jewish teenager who joins a team of what seems like movie extras in order to track down the evildoers and plot their demise.

Shambles what this company think they can do.They honestly don't know what they are doing, I had to deal with Worcester Park branch but even their head office didn't make a better effort either to jump in to rectify the issues caused by Cenar and then Chris. They are not professional at all, so unorganised it's painful and they really think they can get away with lies (basically they take you as a mug?!), thinking the more they talk (bs it's called! 99%) it counts as good costumer service . I had to ask legal advice in the end and only then they started listening...such a nightmare experience I wouldn't wish to this to anyone else.

GREAT SERVICE FROM SELBY

Throughout the process of selling my mothers house the SELBY team have gone above and beyond in communication, customer service and positivity. It has been an emotional time but the process has been massively helped by the team at Hunters Selby. They really care what happens and how it happens and it shows in their positive can do attitude. Never once had to chase them which is amazing - cannot recommend them enough - WELL DONE

Hunters provided a smooth, efficient service from start to finish. Costs and options were clearly explained to me at my initial meeting. The advertising was first-rate, and I would happily recommend their services.

STAY AWAY!

I rented a property for 6 months from this company and it’s by far the most horrific and unprofessional company I’ve ever come across. I got my keys and on entering the property you could smell how dirty it was. The carpet in living room had been so badly worn it had holes in it (when I view the property before it had tenants living in it and this as covered by furniture). Some of the rooms were wallpapered. Obviously lack of cleaning done. I did the inventory hive where you tick of the picture taken by the estate a gent matched the description, it did so I ticked it. All this was via email and before I got the keys to actually see it bare. I was horrified at the state of the place and called them immediately. Banister rail was loose, the back door had dropped, the front door leaked, all interior doors were very hard to open, the showers had been leaking as there was mould on kitchen ceiling directly below, boiler lost pressure when the heating was on and much more. They rectified a few things. Now over the 6 months I was there they did get things sorted (4months before an electrician was employed to fix the smoke alarms). Now I did not receive my full bond back as they took money off me £15 for dust on light fitting, and £25 for paint work that had been scratched (previous tennant painted white paint on brown plastic windowsills). I left the property in an immaculate state. It was much cleaner then when I moved in. Besides Annabelle being the most stuck up rude and unprofessional person I also think I’ve been misled and taken advantage of. As i imagine they took bond money off previous tenants for the decorating issues they did not however rectify this and restore the house to neutral decor. I don’t mind find taken off if I have damaged anything but they seem to take your money and not repair anything!

Corrupt company managed by vile people.

0 stars Avoid renting a property with this company especially the Bradford office and the vile letting agent Mo. He will push you into paying a holding deposit (another word for an admin fee) with no intentions of letting you the property or paying you back your deposit. As a single mother who has just been ripped off. I find companies and people like this absolutely repulsing, with no morals whatsoever. I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company as a tenant or a home owner. One word corrupt.

Hunters in Bridlington, have been very helpful in the understanding we was on a deadline to relocate to the area, Beth helped to make sure the chain could be completed in the time scale that was given. Hunters P'Head - Terrible customer service!

My recent experience with Hunters (Portishead) has been very poor and unfortunately, due to terrible customer service, I will avoid ever dealing with the company again. I thought it may be wise to share this review as I genuinely feel houses may not be selling in our area due to a certain persons 'selling techniques'. Every phonecall before and after our viewing with this person was incredibly frustrating. They were very rude, abrupt and patronising. During the viewing both me and my partner were almost cringing at the 'selling technique' , it was all about him and his contacts, very much a bragging opportunity. This was followed with a very patronising quick fire lesson on 'how to sell a house'. If the agent had bothered to actually ask questions about us, he would have learnt that one of us had very extensive property sales experience. Similarly, by asking no questions about us, he didn't sell the house to us, he merely opened the door and identified what the rooms were. No attempt of selling the features to fit our needs, nothing. Whilst I initiated some questions about the property, the agent didn't answer me directly and would always look to my partner when speaking - we both picked up on this seperately and found it to be very rude and came across chauvinistic! The agent wrapped up the viewing by saying he had a cash buyer in next (as to try and scare us), we waited...and guess what, nobody arrived. During the multiple calls after out viewing (some were return calls to his voicemails) this particular agent would respond like he didn't have a clue who we were, (well if he had bothered to use his customer service skills perhaps his memory would have served him better) after re-highlighting who I was, I was faced with short answers in a 'you're wasting my time tone'. I left every phonecall seething at how rude this person really was.I think anyone who has dealt in any customer facing role understands that customer service is key, find out about your customer, what do they do, what are their needs, build a rapport etc.I appreciate we were only viewers but fast forward to us selling in the future - there wouldn't be a chance I would use them as my agent. Safe to say, I will not be dealing with Hunters again.

MY ADVICE IS DO NOT USE HUNTERS LETTING…

MY ADVICE IS DO NOT USE HUNTERS LETTING IN PONTEFRACT!!!I would prefer to give NO stars to Hunters Letting Agents of Pontefract. They are a shambles, they dont follow best practice in terms of how they deal with those people that sign agreements with them. I rented a property in the area being charged £700 pcm for a 3 bedroom house WITH garage I was very specific I needed a garage. the house had this and i was informed that everything had been checked at the property when I went to sign the contract. Moved in no working cooker, fridge or freezer, had 3 water leaks from bathroom (that I didnt use) into living room. Also no ability to use the Garage as they didnt give me a remote control for it for nearly 3 months and when they did it would not open but I had a manual handle to wind up and down (but the garage was full of builders rubbish), but of course they said they had checked and it was ready to move into. At the end of the tenancy they deducted £90 from the deposit for pet hair in the main bedroom (Ihave a cat which was always sleeping in its bed on the ground floor plus dead flies on the living room floor). No monies back however for the lack of the garage!! I then overpaid by mistake a further months payment and instead of sending back the full amount of £700 the deducted monies for some reason, no explanation to me. THEY ARE NOT BIG ON COMMUNICATING!!! People may think this is not true, I can prove all of this - there is more but i simply cannot be bothered to put it here. Will be taking legal advice.

Accept no responsibility for misselling

When we purchased our house through Hunters they marketed the property as having a 1.5 acre plot. Since purchasing we have subsequently found out this 1.5 acres is actually less than 1 acre. We have raised this with Hunters who do not consider they have done anything wrong. We have gone through their escalation process for what it was worth and they refuse to accept any responsibility. We are taking further action to understand what laws Hunters have actually broken around misspelling but if anyone has any advice feel free to comment.

Feelings over facts

This review is about Hunters in Bingley (as they're all part of a franchise) and also Hunters head office (for the way that they dealt with my complaint). If there's one phrase that sums up Hunters it's "I'm sorry you feel like that". They did a poor job of marketing the property, and when these facts were brought to the attention of the staff and of the head office, the response was "I'm sorry that you feel that the property wasn't marketed effectively". I don't "feel" that, I "know" that, because it wasn't. I can tell that it wasn't because the property was listed on Rightmove as "another successful sale". If I'm reading those words on a property listing, I'm assuming that the property is not available. The word "sorry" was in the response to my complaint 7 times, and every single time it was followed by "that you feel/felt". At no point do they actually acknowledge any of the facts or apologise for anything themselves. In summary, it would appear that neither Hunters in Bingley or Hunters head office are actually sorry for anything they did (or failed to do) and they believe that the entire process was conducted within their standards (which says more about their standards than anything else I suppose). Complaints procedure is a complete waste of time

This rating is for the Franchise of Hunters in OXFORD.Please avoid them if you dont want to lose your money and temper. They do not provide a decent and trustworthy service. They take your money and then show their real face.I was willing to rent a property wherein they said everything is fine and so they took the money and then when I went to visit the apartment they said that the Landlord wants a Guarantor which is totally unfair and unacceptable and also needed a 1 year contract. I was willing to agree a 1 yr contract but even then they wanted a Guarantor. I was failry new to this country at that time and so I could not get someone to sign this. The Hunters has not given me back the money for this nor showed me any other property. They simply closed my file and even went so far of blocking my emails in their system and not picking my calls. This is not a Legitimate company to deal with.

The Bradford Branch has to be the worst…

The Bradford Branch has to be the worst Estate Agents I have ever dealt with (and I have worked in property for 14 years). We dealt with Mo who was late to every appointment we had and showed no apology even when we were left waiting for 30 minutes for his arrival. After moving in and establishing the property was not safe to live in due to faulty electrics we contacted Hunters. We were told there was nothing they could do as it was tenant find only and have never been to the property. When we asked about Electrical Safety certificates due to our concerns we were told it's not a legal requirement so the landlord doesn't need one and they couldn't help further. If I had known they had never visited the property or completed any checks on the landlord I would not have been so trusting! After taking a substantial amount of money for referencing fees (which they admitted they change the costs of constantly depending on how desperate they are to rent a property) we have now been abandoned. Seen as the checks were so thorough on us why are there no checks of the property or landlord when we are handing over large sums of money? Tenants are left at risk and they don't seem to care.I would steer clear if I was you.

Hope you will continue treating customer unfairly like this. I ll take further actions as you are regulated company. incompetent lettings agent Stoke Newington

Jay showed us the flat and he is very good at selling places to you the problems occur once you move in. No one picks up the phone, no maintenance carried out by Hunters who were managing it. When they do turn up they don’t complete the jobs and they lie all the time. When we left we had to fight hard to get our deposit as they made up lies on the deposit form. The flat was a mess because they didn’t fix the issues. Don’t rent from them they are terrible

I ran a competition with 5 Estate Agents before settling on Hunters. The local knowledge, enthusiasm, genuine interest and presentation of the service by Emma Bell stood out from the rest and it was an easy decision to select Hunters. Their offer was more comprehensive and joined up with a launch event and front and back office staff dedicated to the sale of our property. I would not hesitate to recommend them to other property vendors.
