We recently had the pleasure of working with Luke from the Cardigan branch and I have to say he was absolutely fantastic, as we’re all of the team. Luke would just call to check in to see how things were, would always answer or come back to me with the answers to all of my questions. I will only deal with John Francis if I ever need to sell my home, thank you so much Luke for going that extra mile to help us secure our home and for always making me feel that I was an important customer instead of an inconvenience. Abbie was so helpful, I received texts to remind me of our appointment to view the property at Clos y Fferm. On the morning of our appointment she was already at the property when we arrived and showed us around in a friendly and efficient manner. She answered all my questions and also followed up with additional information I had asked for. I'm just disappointed that due to unforeseen circumstances I'm not in a position to purchase the flat.

We contacted John Francis to market our house in St Dogmaels, and Ellie contacted us. She came and gave us a realistic price according to the market at the time, and discussed marketing options. We have had a number of viewings since, and the staff have contacted us to arrange viewing times, and sent messages to confirm these. Feedback has been forthcoming on these viewings, and we are quite happy so far with how Ellie has marketed the house.

Our experience with Luke and Ellie at John Francis in Cardigan has been extremely disappointing. Their marketing efforts were lacking from the start. Our property was not advertised in their window or as a featured/premium property on Rightmove as discussed at our appraisal, we had to request any additional social media promotion, and overall, there was no proactive approach to generating interest. A major issue arose when we discovered incorrect property details on a neighbouring listing, making our property appear far smaller by comparison even when our property was significantly larger. Instead of correcting the mistake, they removed accurate details from our own listing without consultation with us. A more accurate course of action would have been to remove the neighbouring property's incorrect details instead. Communication has been poor throughout, with emails and questions going unanswered or with poor explanations. Most shockingly, we discovered that our property had been removed from Rightmove (this was their response to my query regarding terminating our agreement with them) without any communication or explanation from the team. We had to find this out ourselves, as the agency made no effort to inform us. Even when I called to investigate this, instead of calling me back I simply received an email skirting around the issue. This lack of professionalism and transparency has completely eroded our trust in John Francis. If you are looking for an agent that is proactive, communicative, and reliable, we would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I certainly won't be using them , or Connells/Countrywide ever again following this appalling experience. A huge amount of time and effort wasted!

Ellie invited me to her desk as soon as I entered the office. She took my information and and we arranged a time and date for the valuation. On the day Ellie arrived shortly before the time and we viewed the house and outbuildings. She shared a brochure of the houses in this area to provide the background to her valuation which I believe to be realistic. Her behaviour was both professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend speaking to Ellie for a valuation.

We were very pleased with the professional photos taken, and with the marketing of our property. We had plenty of viewings and a firm offer which has since been completed. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to answer questions - they could possibly have liaised a bit more towards the end of the conveyancing when nobody knew why there were hold-ups, but this is a small issue. On the whole we were very happy with their service.
