GoogleRichard was the estate agent for the home we were buying and was very helpul. I would say with no exaggeration that he was far more helpful at moving the sale and purchase along than my own estate agent that I was actually paying.
Richard was always at the end of the phone, email or WhatsApp. Very polite and on the ball!
Can honestly say that if I ever sell this place hell be the first person I contact. If he can put up with my pestering and constant emails again I'm sure we would do business again.

They say selling a home is one of the most stressful life events to go through however Richard made everything go so smoothly, and managed every aspect of our sale from start to finish which took all of our stresses away. The communication I had with him throughout was without fault, Richard was always on hand via phone and text to answer any of my queries.

GoogleBe careful! They say that mortgage in principle agreement is not accepted and they will tell you that their mortgage advisor needs to go with Natwest because they have better deal.
Also been told there is no chain and we can move in straight away, but we waited for more than 6 months!!! The property had plumbing issues etc so I don't think the survey had been done either which was paid for. I will not use this company again.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

We have no record or recollection of you buying a property with Online Agent Cardiff, we are a small family run business and get to know our all of our buyers extremely well. We would never refuse a mortgage in principle, we pride ourselves on our flexibility for buyers. I am sorry for the experience you have had with purchasing a property, however it was not with us.
Just to give you some support regarding the issues you may have incurred during your purchase through another estate agent: If you had a survey, this should have been arranged and paid for by yourself, you should have also received a survey report from the surveyor that may have raised your plumbing issues. If the property is said to be sold with 'no chain', always check this with your solicitor too, it's unfortunate it took such a long time for you to move in.
Inaccurate reviews can be extremely damaging to local businesses and would very much appreciate it if you can remove this review.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

GoogleRich & Catrin seemed nice enough initially however down the line & after a few complications, it came to light that we were verbally misrepresented information. My elderly parents are not savvy in this area & neither am I. Not fully understanding the terms & conditions, we put our trust in Catrin, asking direct questions relating to the contract & commitment being made before signing. We were given an answer that turned out to be inaccurate and that would later cost us just over £2000 as we were bound by the contract.
To be ok with giving inaccurate information to an elderly couple (one of whom has Alzheimer’s) & later be ok charging them a fee/penalty as a result, says a lot. We trusted we would get the support we needed & there were plenty of opportunities to inform us of the information we required as we made further commitments through the process.
To be fair & completely transparent, Rich halved the fee (penalty) that he initially wanted to charge but only after our challenge & in-depth chat.
Just our experience but we would of course never use this company again & will continue to warn people of our experience with Online Agents Cardiff.

I am saddened to see this review over 4 months on. After mutually agreeing a settlement for work carried out over a 10-month period, you made the decision to pull out of your sale and purchase on the week of a simultaneous exchange & completion. We have already discussed this in-depth since you opted to withdraw from the market and I have personally tried to reach out to you since posting the review.
I would like to be clear that we only dealt with yourself, we didn’t have any interaction or involvement with your parents. I am sorry about your Father’s condition, however mentioning your this has no bearing on the service you received. The complications you mentioned were not of ours, your buyers, or your vendors for your onward purchase but only of your own.
I believe that if we moved you and your family to your new home, then you would agree that we had provided an excellent service. We marketed the property to a high standard with droneography and virtual tours, found a great buyer, negotiating considerably over asking price and we continually progressed this sale for 10 months. For your private purchase, we went above and beyond, assisting with sales progression to ensure a smooth transition, allowing everyone to move to their new properties. You were charged the fee because you made the decision to pull out of all transactions on the week of completion, where both your buyers and sellers were willing and able to simultaneously exchange and complete. Your vendors had even signed a rental contract & moved out to ensure the sale goes through with no issues. Your decision cost the chain solicitor, mortgage, survey and rental fees.
I expect everyone to read their contract, you had ten months to do so. Our terms and conditions are very straightforward and specifically the branch terms of a willing and able purchaser is underlined to stand out for fundamental clarity. The only time a client is charged this fee is on the extremely rare condition if the sale is all set for exchange and the vendor makes the decision to pull out.
However, after our in-depth discussion, you brought to my attention that you had not been informed about this clause over a verbal discussion with my colleague. I genuinely cared, understood, and made a generous offer reducing our fee by £2,000. The fees paid was to cover outgoings such as photography, advertising, VAT, tax and staff. This generous gesture was welcomed and agreed by yourself, and this was settled.
Over four months later, you have made the decision to write this review. Mr Pope, if you weren’t satisfied with our agreement, then you should have raised it then. It was a fair reflection for the work and now you have left us with not just a misinterpretation on our business but on myself and my colleague.

I was thoroughly impressed with their marketing strategy which lead to 17 viewings after 2 days of going live, from this we achieved a sale over guide price.
Throughout the process Rich was very attentive and professional and I would recommend O.A.C to anyone who is interested in selling/letting a property.
We also sat down with their in house mortgage advisor Joe who was outstanding. Joe kept us informed at every stage through the application process and linked in towards the end of the sale with a congratulations e-mail. Would highly recommend using both and will use in the future!

GoogleWe recently chose Online Agent Cardiff to help with selling our flat. I liked the fact that Online Agent Cardiff are a local company and that there are fixed fees so you know what you are going to pay upfront making it easier to budget.
Our sale wasn't the most straight forward of but Richard & Nick both kept us up-to-date at all times with what was going on. They were both very quick to respond to emails and always answered/returned calls in a quick manner which made the whole process much less stressful.

In particular, Nia, has been really good and quickly answers all my queries and concerns. Shes also proactive and i do feel that she goes the 'extra mile' in trying to progress this purchase. It makes me feel confident that we're going to get to completion sooner rather than later. Its easy to be quite cynical about estate agents but Nia blows that away.

GoogleI would highly recommend Tathams to anyone looking to sell their property. They are super knowledgeable, professional and will take the time to market your house carefully and intelligently. Something else I really liked is that they don’t just insist on calling you all the time - as a busy working mum of a toddler, it was great to just chat on WhatsApp at the end of the day. In terms of aftersales, they took the time to support us through a bit of a tricky situation during the stressful final few stages of conveyancing which I immensely appreciated - Richard has the patience of a saint and knows how to deal with people. I wish them all the best with their recent move and am sure they will go from strength to strength!
