After a lengthly period with another agent, which was nothing but a frustrating stressful and disappointing experience I really had lost all enthusiasm in my project. That changed with a call to “Seels” and a conversation with a man called Lewis Manners. Everyone I spoke to over the three weeks of dealing with Seels were fantastic, helpful, professional and advised me what would be the right path for me. I truly believe they valued my custom and made me once again excited about my project. I can not express how delighted I was with their services. They sold my property in three weeks, and that says it all. Above all i have to gave big thanks to Lewis Manners, he was stand out amazing at every step of the way and is a credit to Seel & Co. Building management companies typically have a bad rep, but that's not been my experience with Seel & Co. They manage the building where I live and I've only had a good experience dealing with them. Moira is in charge of managing our building and she's only ever been kind, helpful and proactive when I've needed assistance. Thank you

Edit: Jo promptly contacted me, helped resolve the issues. I write off the hurdles caused to the pandemic, i understand we are all restructuring the way we do the business and there are chances some edge case client satisfaction is a hit and miss. Mine is one such case. Seel and Co has always been otherwise very welcoming and friendly. I give 4 stars, because i had to explain a lot of times of the fact that the mess happened in communal garden is not because of me. ------ Original review below, no longer valid ---- It’s a mistake that I choose to use Seel and Co Lettings team services. I always preferred to go with professional Lettings agencies even if they are expensive, because I do not want to be tangled with dodgy landlords. But by far SeelAndCo seem to be worst experience for me. Lettings team stopped responding to my emails seeking calculations for refund on my deposit. I tried to stop them charging me for cleaning a communal garden but then they stopped responding to my emails. I know Covid is creating tough times so I can come back and revise my rating if this is genuine mistake such as Lettings team is shut down or gone out of business due to Covid. But if not, can you respond?

EDIT AFTER SEEL & COs RESPONSE, I had to contact the fire and security company myself, this has been on going since the last week of January. I contacted them with a recording to which they confirmed it was not the fire alarm - I told Seel & Co weeks ago it sounded different to the fire alarm, only last week after I contact the fire and security company did they confirm... PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I left a review 2 months ago. I still am in the same situation. I've never dealt with such a company. Our front door did not lock for 8 days, and only on the day I chased was it again sorted, even more important as we have so many people around our building at the moment!! (Its a building site) An alarm has been sounding at stupid hours of the morning (in the communal areas) 5 times in one night starting from 11pm all the way to 6am and they have been persistent that no fault has been found?? This was reported weeks ago alarm still sounding at stupid hours now I've had to chase again & again. Seel & Co are the most exhausting company I have ever dealt with. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

I would like to recognise Gareth Galliers for his proactive & professional help in his management of issues in Park View Court, Andrew Rd, Penarth, that I own. He has organised clearance of guttering & replacement of felt on the roof to deal with some water ingress which is now resolved. Most importantly he has been extremely helpful dealing with the tenants who are not ventilating the flat in any way & who are blaming the condensation on water ingress issues. He has even met the council who the tenants complained to & confidently explained & demonstrated how they weren’t ventilating the flat. He has been very supportive, knowledgeable & keen to help. Unfortunately my first experience with a management company is Seel & Co. After phone calls I have to follow up with an email to make sure I have everything in writing. Its been a year and a half of repeating myself. Would not recommend them to anyone. Hopefully my next property will not require a management company as the stress is not worth it. I also raised a complaint which has been completely ignored. Unfortunately very unorganised and incompetent. (They cover our block management)

Our experience with Seel & Co has been disappointing, to say the least. As a management company, they have demonstrated a lack of transparency, poor communication, and questionable fee structures that raise serious concerns about their business practices. Unjustified Fees & Poor Accountability Seel & Co has imposed extra charges and warning fees without clear justification, refusing to provide proper documentation or reasonable explanations. When challenged, their responses have been dismissive, and rather than addressing concerns fairly, they have continued to enforce these unfair charges. Lack of Transparency & Poor Customer Service Despite multiple requests for clarity on service charges, payment plans, and accountability, their approach remains unhelpful. Attempts to engage with them in a professional manner have been met with delays, vague answers, and a complete failure to take responsibility for their actions. Escalation to Higher Authorities Given their unwillingness to cooperate or address legitimate concerns, we are now left with no choice but to escalate matters to regulatory bodies such as the Property Ombudsman and, if necessary, the First-Tier Tribunal. A responsible management company should work with its clients, not against them. Final Verdict If you're considering using Seel & Co for property management, block management, or auctions, I strongly urge you to think twice. Their lack of professionalism, unfair financial practices, and disregard for legitimate customer concerns make them an unreliable choice. Seek a company that values transparency, fairness, and ethical business practices, unfortunately, Seel & Co does not meet these standards.

Been living in a Seel and Co managed block for a couple of years now. In that time: Took 6+ months to fix a block fire alarm going off caused by cobwebs Blamed tenants on a leak coming from the roof of the building Left the intercom broken (still) broken for 3+ months. Telling tenants to keep all doors locked despite not fixing the outside door, allowing packages to be stolen

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD! I cannot understand how this company can have positive reviews. I have NEVER in my life come across a company so incompetent and unhelpful. When bringing issues to them, they just brush it off and don’t handle it professionally. Overcharging for services not given to customers and coming up with poor and invalid reasons as to why. Ongoing issues never resolved and even letters advising of charges to the property for the last tenants expecting present tenants to pay. If you are thinking about purchasing or renting a property under this company’s management, I highly suggest you look elsewhere as you will have nothing but stress and inconsiderate customer service. How this company has stayed in business is beyond me.

So due to a business cash flow situation we’ve just had to sell a flat we really didn’t want to so this was a very difficult situation for us. Thank god for Lewis Manners and the auction team at Seel and Co. They were incredibly kind, helpful and patient both on the phone and via email. But also completely honest and realistic pointing out the sale price we’d hoped for would never happen in today’s climate. We put our trust in them to do their job and boy did they deliver, the final sale price being considerably over our reserve price. Fantastic team, we can’t recommend them highly enough.

Dire company with little to no morals. They’ll somehow manage to blackmail you into paying hidden costs due to their own staffing issues/ internal incompetence. Would never have bought my property if I knew then what I know know about this company. I will actively be advocating to anyone I know, to never deal with these people in the future. *Editing this 6 months later* - Further to my above statement, the company has proved (among other things) further ineptitude by not being able to resolve basic maintenance duties which is to the detriment of the safety and security of mine and my neighbours homes. I honestly implore you never to entertain this company when it comes to managing the space you live in.
