Top rate professional service

Top rate service. Very professional handling of a particularly tricky purchase as well as our sale. Couldn't recommend Fiona and Sarah highly enough

Innept and incompetant - Market Harborough

I had my house on the market for the past 7 months without one single viewing or inquiry.S&P provided no communication or acted proactively to sell the house. They even charged me £400 for the privilege of having photos taken. So after having no results I provided a months notice to terminate. However in breach of their own terms they removed my property the following day!I contacted their Head Office and they didn't even acknowledge and reply to my inquiry.Never again!!

Great people to work with!

We had a great experience working with Strutt & Parker, I'd like to give a 5 stars but our property took long to sell due to Brexit but the team were very professional, informative, they worked by our side to make this property sale and success. We would like to highlight that Steve and Anna are highly customer oriented. We are very grateful with all the support that the team at Strutt & Parker provided to us.

Terrible service from Strutt & Parker Sloane Street

Terrible service from Strutt & Parker on Sloane Street.Alexandra turned up to do a viewing without giving us any notice and on the day we were to move out demanded to do a viewing after I emailed and explained our last 2 days would be hectic and could they give us privacy. She didn’t care and was so happy to get us in but couldn’t wait to get us out and get another tenant in.Nina the lettings manager I had to deal with on several occasions one being we had no fridge freezer or dishwasher working for 6 weeks of moving in.Then there was a gas leak and no oven working all I was told was “You have a microwave, kettle and toaster make do!” No customer care whatsoever.

Recently sold a property with Strutt and Parker, Banbury.

We dealt with Isabel Hemsley, senior negotiator, who provided excellent service and good communication through out the process. We would definitely recommend Strutt and Parker.

Unprofessional bunch

I've had a relatively good and quick experience during the process of looking for a rental through Strutt & Parker, the viewing and offer process was quick and dealt with in a professional manner. After the offer was accepted, the experience changed, they were very unhelpful and unfriendly when negotiating the contract. They were somehow helpful when talking about the logistics during the move in day arranging for free parking.Once moved in, the property manager was very unhelpful, I had small queries about the facilities and they took a lot of time to respond and sometimes grossly misinforming us. For example, I was told that I can't change my electricity provider and in the end that proved to be a lie as we could and did change our electricity provider. The stress and work necessary to always go back-forth for the smallest of things is upsetting. Given that the rent for the place is 500/week I was expecting more professionalism but I guess that's too much to ask in a city where there are loads of people willing to pay what they're asking for. Hopefully that would change once Brexit hits the property market. During my interactions with them, I can say that there are very few fairly professional individuals working at Strutt & Parker while the rest are grossly unprofessional.

No Show at Viewing

We had been in contact with Alison Gunning-Stephens at the Ludlow office by email for several weeks and had arranged a viewing in Clun. We were coming up from London and had given her our hotel name (we didn't have a UK mobile, but did have an overseas phone) and she had our email address as we had been in constant contact. She knew we were taking the early peak-time 6:30 am train from London, hiring a car in Ludow to meet her at the property for 11:00 am. We had email access on the train and I emailed her to confirm but no response. We arrived at the property and no agent. I rang her office only to be told that the property is under contract. Thanks for letting us know. We had been in London for three days prior and had email access the entire time. I am a UK citizen and we plan to move back to the UK and are less than impressed by this company. They have yet to give us an explanation for their inconsiderate and incompetent service.

STRUTT & PARKER LUDLOW

STRUTT & PARKER LUDLOW, So Disappointing! Wednesday morning 11th April 2018, on the internet we saw an Elizabethan property for sale at £1.35 million in Wigmore near to Ludlow. It looked quite appealing, so we telephoned Strutt & Parker Ludlow for more details. An excellent response, the helpful lady told us all that she knew, and then asked that if a partner, Kevin Boulton, who was dealing with the property could call us to give more information on the questions she could not answer. The very helpful lady sent us the brochure, which arrived the next day Thursday. So far so good. Surprisingly the literature is flimsy and of poor quality for a property with an asking price of £1.35 million, giving a rather down market image, and never the stuff of quality marketing. On Friday 13th April, and two days later, still no response whatsoever from Mr. Boulton. So we called him, saying that we were disappointed that he had not called... He explained that we should understand that he is very busy and did not have the time to call us... My, My, he must be so very busy to just simply choose to ignore us, we are cash buyers looking for a house up to £1.5 million! Praise the Lord he is not selling a house for us! What a destructive way of putting off prospective purchasers, to the vendor's grief. The vendor has had this property on the market with Strutt & Parker since June 2017, yes, that is 10 months... but we must all understand that the partner is so very busy! Somewhat strangely, he said that he is overwhelmed by the interest in the property, (and this after only 10 months, albeit that it is yet to be sold, one wonders why!).When asked about the internet signal at the property, he did not have any information on this, and added 'but don't worry there are lots of businesses in Wigmore so it must be acceptable and anyway it all depends upon which company you are using'. My estate agent friend, by far the most successful locally, assures me that a poor internet signal has proven to be a deal breaker on several occasions, but then he is in tune with the needs of both his buyers and his sellers, and thus is very successful! To Strutt & Parker Ludlow, internet connection speed is dismissed as unimportant! We can't ever see us placing any property for sale with this company, it comes as hardly any surprise that Purple Bricks etc etc are all doing so well.Come on Strutt & Parker, fingers out, stop strutting and start actually doing your stuff, earn your commission, let's hope that Mr. Bourne, the vendor, reads this, it might save him a lot of time and money, (should we mention commission for a dreadful service?).

Strutt & Parker Perth Office

We used the Perth Office to sell our home after the first lock down last year. Hamish and Amy are first class. Despite the continued restrictions they were able to quickly organise the valuation, marketing and viewings. Attracted numerous viewers and received a successful offer within a few weeks of the advert going live online. Concluded the sale quickly without any issues. We would highly recommend them as selling agents for your home.

Samuel Gibson from the Morpeth office …

Samuel Gibson from the Morpeth office came to view our property in April 2017. Whilst there he quoted 1.5% commission. We felt obliged to market the property with the agents we had used for our rentals, as we had to go through a court process due to damage the tennants had caused. No success with the sale but we have finally won the court case! Just called Samuel back now to ask him to take on the sale and he wants 2%. As he put it "that was then and this is now". What a tool!

Had I Wanted a Project I Would Have Bought a Project

As I have been passing through complaint procedures this is my first opportunity to review Strutt and Parker. From ombudsman to court they had ample opportunity to mediate regarding their misstatements. Strutt and Parker were appalling, and my losses as an older woman are insurmountable. They were fortunate I could only afford small claims court, which they opposed wanting a full multitrack trial where the cost being so prohibitive could of left me bankrupt and homeless. Court procedures in a higher track, are robust and difficult for the litigant in person to navigate through. Although I performed weakly at the trial due to the stress and illness they caused me, my case was sound. I won the small action against this national company, the court ruling against them and in my favour. As only a small claim it was limited in the amount of award it could give but gave the maximum at that level. Called a saga by the court, Strutt and Parker claimed a substantial historic boundary feature was part of the property, but that was demolished after viewing. They claimed luxury when nothing worked, the drainage and plumbing, the heating, the fires, unbelievable in the north of England; all of which damaged my furniture, damaged everything; not a home, but squalor, and frozen. They knew and know well the vendor developer Stone Homes who they recommended. In court they claimed I was a knowledgable buyer, they with a 130 years experience in estate agency and me with my my life's investment in my only home.I won against them for their misstatement of the property, I won for the demolished historical artefact, I won against them on their disclaimer, which all meant I won against them on the ombudsman's result in their favour.Strutt and Parker should be reprinting all their UK sales particulars, their disclaimer didn't protect them in court for simple reasons. They should also look at how they engage with the ombudsman which in my experience cannot be trusted. They had the ability and chance to come out well but instead just show contempt for their home buying public.I had trusted Strutt and Parker, they abused that trust.

Strutt and Parker the best in Morpeth

Strutt and Parker in Morpeth have just completed the sale of our house. This after 3 other agents delivered no suitable buyers. i consider them t be the best for higher end properties in the area and for incredible professionalism which gained us a hefty premium over the asking price when we sold. This is the second time we have used the Morpeth office and they will be our first choice next time

I needed a valuation of my property…

I needed a valuation of my property with or without part of the garden that I wanted to sell to a neighbour. The agent visited and gave me a really useful informal valuation, for no charge. He backed up his valuation by comparison with another property sold recently nearby. I was confident that the valuation was accurate and unbiased. I'm really pleased with the service - thanks very much.

Two pensioners received 5 star service

We had really excellent service from Strutt & Parker Gerrards Cross in moving house to Chichester, after 33 years in Gerrards CrossIn particular, we would like to mention John Roberts and Anna Mincham who looked after us so well. Anna proved to be a little treasure, who never gave up, thus ensuring that a very difficult chain remained unbroken - even during her holiday!)My wife and I.both in our 70's, were extremely grateful

S&P were instrumental in the purchase…

S&P were instrumental in the purchase of our new house. The transaction was really well run by lead Simon Backhouse - responses were timely and constructive and once the deal was struck then a real help in guiding the transaction through to a successful close. if we came to sell then we would have to think very hard about looking further afield for an agent and their area coverage is impressive.

We were really impressed with the team…

We were really impressed with the team at Strutt and Parker, as a purchaser they helped navigate our offer and negotiation. We asked for help on a couple of other aspects and it was immediately forthcoming and their recommendations of a quality that matched their own service. I hope we aren't in the market again for a while but if we were we wouldn't hesitate to instruct this team.
