I can highly recommend Oatley & O`Connor. They did a great job! James was very friendly, supportive and always available to answer questions - whatever the time of day or day of the week. He explained the procedures, kept us informed at all stages and made sure that things progressed as fast and smoothly as possible. His recommendations for solicitor, etc. were excellent. I was very grateful for our WhatsApp group. I met James at the beginning, but then went back home to Germany. My sister was the one on site, but I was always in the loop via Whatsapp.

What a refreshing take on an Estate agency. These guys go above and beyond, to take the stress out of buying a place. Always on hand 7 days a week to answer queries arrange viewings etc. Would also recommend Darren as a Mortgage Advisor. Brilliant fast service and can get some great deals. Can not recommend Oatley & O’Connor enough, if there was a higher rating that 5 I’d be using it. From the first day we spoke to Jade to arrange viewing the house to today when we finally exchanged, the attention to detail from everyone has been amazing. The friendly emails and calls every couple of days to keep us constantly up to date with the purchase, as first time buyers, was amazing and really made this experience even more special. The day we viewed the house we were pitched a dream of what our lives would look like if we put in an offer and Jade and the team really have made that dream a reality. James truly went the extra mile to make our dream home purchase come true - nothing was ever too much trouble, including late night document signing and gathering and dealing with valuers and all the rest of it. We had a fantastic experience even if we had the usual bumps and scrapes in the purchase process. This included simple means such as a dedicated WhatsApp group where we could chat at any time, where he could let us know of progress or switch a staff member to show us around. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend James to anyone selling a property in the Canterbury area.

Absolutely amazing Estate agent!!! Where do I start, the service I have received from Oatley and Connor really is above and beyond their remit as an Estate Agent. From the start James and his team have been professional, progressive, proactive and shown compassion to me as a client. James Oatley from Oatley and O’Connor dealt with the sale of our property. He has many years in the business behind him so you can rest assured that you’re getting an agent who really knows their trade. We liked the personal service, James was directly available to us and from the moment we made the initial enquiry, he took a keen interest in our house. On signing-up, we were regularly updated on progress, he worked hard to turn viable enquiries into viewings, and he makes it his mission to be there for your viewings if you want him to do it for you. He made a point of expressing that he was working for us and was very adaptable to our wishes. He sold our house at asking price within a couple of months (and just to add, we chose our own asking price based on what we needed to move and he obliged with our needs without any pressure to change the amount). When you sell a house, the relationship with your agent doesn’t stop at the point of offer. A good agent will be there with you throughout the rest of the process, from advice if you’ve never done it before, to answering queries from other parties in the chain, to getting the deal through all the sale stages. You need an agent who is a great people person for all this liaison and we found James really easy to get along with which was fantastic. Selling a house is definitely not just about putting an advert up so forget everything you think you know about Estate Agency and give James Oatley a try, we’ve been very happy.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

My partner and I are very grateful to Oatley & O'Connor for helping us purchase our first home. James, Darren and Jade were so helpful during the process - all being very easy to contact and quick to reply irrespective of how urgent the situation was. They never made us feel like we were bugging them with all of our questions as everything was new and somewhat scary to us, and James really supported us with negotiating with the seller and pushing the sale over the line. Given that buying a house is quite stressful and there are so many things going on and requiring attention, the only reason it was not a 5 star experience was due to being asked to write this review on several occasions. We completely understand and appreciate how and why reviews are important to companies, and always intended on writing one. But being asked to do so on the day of exchange, then on the day of completion, and then asked again a week or so later left a slightly sour taste - especially as we wanted to write a proper review and not gloss over it without any effort. Besides that, we are very fortunate to have had a good experience and would recommend Oatley & O'Connor to other buyers and sellers.

Within days of us having a discussion and sharing our plans with Oatley & O’Connor, our property was on the market and our open day was booked! We immediately had three offers thanks to the wonderful Gemma who conducted the viewings! James, Darren & Jade kept consistent contact with us throughout the transaction - by creating a WhatsApp group for us all which was super convienent and easy to maintain contact and all updates! The team always made my partner & I feel like “no question is a stupid question” and always gave us the best, honest guidance! James is very professional and sold our property subject to contract in less than a week after going on the market. We had an open day with 13 viewings and James and his team managed the whole day. This took all the stress out of the day and we instead had a day out shopping at Bluewater. Several offers came in and James was really helpful in recommending the buyer best positioned to proceed. James or a member of his team are always on the end of the phone to assist with any queries I've had so I really do feel supported and in safe hands. James' business partner Darren is also a financial advisor. Another FA I was using at the time could not get me all the money I needed to borrow for my purchase. Within 24 hours of speaking to Darren he had a mortgage in principle for the full amount I needed. James Oatley provided A* customer service AND some, especially to a point where I could get the latest news from James instead of my solicitor. James was the front of all knowledge and detail of both my sale and purchase and I thank him very much for going above and beyond.
