TrustpilotMercenary Chestertons are THE WORST
Chestertons are without a doubt the worst of a very bad bunch when it comes to real estate agencies (at least from a tenant perspective).They are awful at almost everything they are supposed to do during a tenancy (like fix problems, etc ... we once went 3 MONTHS over winter without hot water before they fixed the problem). As a tenant, you exist only as a cash cow to them, to be ignored during your tenancy when fixing things might cost them money, then squeezed at renewal time to milk as much money out of you as possible for themselves. I am fairly certain that the price hikes they demand year upon year are not even going to the landlords, but to themselves in whole.If you are a potential tenant, I would recommend that you steer well clear of them. I myself will never rent through them ever again after my experiences. Even a ZERO star rating would be too high in my opinion.

The worst experience with a real estate agent in my life.Secured a tenant with a previous detention/penal past without checking the background. The tenant had constant and absurd requests that were not properly managed. Left before the end of the contract and then sued me as a landlord. Chestertons refused to take any responsibility and left me alone with hefty legal costs

GoogleCarlos was brilliant nothing was too much trouble. He kept us regularly updated on offers.The final buyer wanted new locks fitted to the steel front door before exchanging and Carlos went done and let the locksmith in and waited while the locks were changed.The flat has been unoccupied got the last 3 months. If we’re decide to sell another of our properties we will definitely use Carlos.
