I'm privately renting my apartment with Eddisons in Lincoln and have had the best experience with Amy, who led me through the entire process. She's been incredibly responsive to my queries, proactive and friendly throughout, which makes renting on my own for the first time so much less scary. Be that a janky letterbox, adjustments to the (very detailed!) inventory or queries about meters - she's been super helpful and was able to resolve all questions I've had so far within a very short time frame. Super happy with my experience, thank you Amy! :)

TrustpilotThey will ignore you for years
I own a rental property which is managed by Eddisons. Over the years the property has had significant water damage and leaks due to a lack of required maintenance by Eddisons to the roof and gutters. They only stepped in and accepted responsibility when water was pouring into the flat and was a safety hazard to my tenants. They never ever reply...to get a response from Mark or Jason you must ring or email several times a day, for weeks on end. But they will ignore you for months. Every single action or simple request is like getting blood from a stone.

Dealt with Chartered Surveyor part of business and it was a disaster from start to finish. Had to use them for an insurance reinstatement and would not use again. Emails took weeks to get replies to, things were signed off with the builder without consulting us, visits to site planned and noone turned up. It has taken 2 and a half years since the works completed to get the project signed off due to Edisons poor management. We have had 4 different contacts and each one has been the same. Only responding when we and the loss adjustor threatened to raise a complaint. Still waiting for thier complaints manager to contact us even though this was promised days ago! Completely done with them, we still have problems outstanding with house but becasue they took so long we have now run out of time so it will be for us to fix at our own expense.

Our first experience of dealing with Eddisons was absolutely great. It started when a locaal BBC news story mentioned that Eddisons was auctioning the perfume and beauty products from a failed department store in Lincolnshire. My wife has been trying for some time to track down some now-out-of-production Hermes perfume. I emailed on the enquiry form and Charlie from the Scunthorpe office got straight back to me saying the product we were seeking was in the sale that same day. She then arranged the commission bid for me and two days later we collected it. Fantastic customer support from start to finish and we are most grateful. Thank you Charlie - great job.

Met head of valuations of Manchester office at a location of mine to discuss a valuation of over twenty shops Explaining what I thought they were worth and how I got to my values He agreed that if he were to get valuation job He would be n at my figures Before he confirmed this we went round every building This was a valuation of nearly £10 million He accepted the job , I said at start and during the process, if had any issues hitting my absolutely correct values to ring me as I could talk him through it , as I new every sale and rental values in the area for 25 years Never heard a thing for months, never even returned my calls VALUATION TURNED UP 20% UNDERDO NOT USE THEM ,Never in 30 years business and having used dozens of the large companies have I ever been treated like that

Just purchased 4 kitchens and several other lots from Eddisons in an insolvency sale. The staff were very acccomodating. It was a well organised clearance. I am surprised from other comments how people don’t understand the costs and risks involved when buying at auction. But all I can say is when you do you can save or make a lot of money and Eddisons are there to help you do that. Not the first time I have dealt with them by a long way but can recommend them as a reliable auctioneer👍

Really bad experience dealing with Mark Belsham regarding a unit in Chiswick. He didn’t reply to emails, texts, or calls. I went to the place twice to take measurements and was told I’d get an update by the end of the day, it’s now been over two weeks and I’ve heard nothing. Feels like he just decided to ignore me, maybe thought I couldn’t afford the place or something. Either way, super unprofessional.
